What is happening with the price? I was not active here or watching the price for the last week- or two. It is still less than 600$, and it was around 600$ twoo weeks ago. Did it go up or down, or was it holding still the whole time? I hope I did not miss anything.
A market that's stable shouldn't make you panic. In fact, it shouldn't bother you at all. A stable market basically has an almost equal buy and sell force. There are still movements going on, but no major movements. We stayed a long time at a price range lower than this, I'm sure that most of us could wait a little longer for some profit in the future.

Right, the price last year at the same month is just half the price of today. And the months before that, it is way lower and it stayed that way much much longer. Those who have the patient to hold really got their profit when the price spike during November. And I hope it could happen again this year.

It's true that the price recently has changed (not for good) but I haven't found any reason that affected the bitcoin price recently, I can only say that people are not holding they bitcoin because there are many sources where to invest them and maybe they are moving the funds.

Don't forget the price did come to 550 for a short period of time. I am certain that without the bitfinex hack we would see the price still around 640 USD, but i had to be different.
I do hope the price eventually will go back to 640 offcourse.

The price of the bitcoin whwat will it do till the end of this year for now he is circling round the 600 dollar maybe some times even more but i dont think he is going to hit the 700 again this year.
i think i would be trading about 800$ in present time if the bitfinex issue was not happen, so not its price will cross the 1000$ level in the end of 2016 and may be cross the all time high price level and make a new all time high record.

Bitcoin was was going sideways before the Bitfinex hack occured and there is no hype or good news at present to cause the whales and traders to start pumping it. So Bitcoin at $800 would still not happen. Maybe it would try to move past $680 - $700 range but that would be it. It will still be under $700 even if the hack did not occur. Of course it just my humble opinion because I am no expert and I am only using the past price movements as basis to make a simple analysis.

Bitcoin would maybe be around $750 if we had the same market movements minus the Bitfinex hack, and assuming the Bitfinex hack never happened. To be honest though we might be sitting around the low $700s at best, and probably somewhere in the high $600s, since I don't think the market would be interested in pushing the value $150 from a low $600s position beforehand.

I agree with another poster regarding the downtrend from before the bitfinex incident. The price in fact was on the way down below $600 even before the hacking occured. If anything, that incident just hastened the plummet. The price has somehow recovered back to the $600, albeit being rather unstable. The last few weeks have been pretty slow compared to the weeks leading to the halving and the Brexit vote where the price surged from mid $400s to almost $800.

I still don't understand how Brexit influenced the bitcoin price. The price was going down because of the halving hype dissipating. We should be seeing a rise soon.

I always open my spark profit account to check the bitcoin price.  Its price is really unstable for the past weeks.  But its price do not leave the $600 mark, it is always close to it.  I am still thankful that its price slowly going up.  Let us all hope that by the end of this year, its price goes up so that everyone of us have a good and wonderful Christmas.

I know and I'm aware of that but I'm speaking in general that the price has been around that price and I think that September has been a silent month and people have lots of work to do in the real life and students has started the school/university.

Well, I think this price stability will last long. This price stability probably will end in October or November to come, and since 2016 will soon come to an end, I think this stability will end marked by the rise in price of bitcoin. Well, I hope this bitcoin price increase of more than $ 700

However bitfinex is recovered from that crises and Bitcoin price has to be stable now but it's not like that. As we see Bitcoin price chart it seems with unstable at most of time. I feel this 600$ plus is good when we see the old value.

Yup. Compared to few months back, the price is stable and worth though. This is a good sign of its growth in its values. Hope to have a good hike in price in the upcoming months. If this in case does not occur, the current stability would be more appreciated. Many focus on buying more bitcoins now and save them for future. The growth of bitcoin is stronger and its reaching every corner of the world. Many are pitching into this forum and focus on earning bitcoins.

It's still fluctuating like the usual. Sometimes it is too low and sometimes it is just fine. I think this is just normal because maybe this is a sign that bitcoin's price will be go high up in the sky again like a sky rocket. Let's just wait 'till it happens. I'm sure everyone will make a huge profit from it. It is worth the wait though than to use it in gambling which can just make your bitcoin disappear and all of your efforts just to earn those bitcoin will just ended up in nothing.

$600+ is absolutely huge, especially when it can be maintained when you compare it to the historical prices, and it is MASSIVE when you compare it to the past year and some. Considering where we have been sitting recently and having big swings back and forth from $600, I'm glad it has slowed down a bit and isn't moving constantly anymore.

The bitcoin price for now is around the 600 dollar and i don't think he would change allot at the end of this year because i don't see the price rise only drop i think. So that would not be funny for the future of 2017.

I agree with you. I think the price of bitcoin will decrease/increase at the end of the year. We already have a stable price at bitcoin price until now, i'm sure someday it will reach the peak.

The abrupt price drop which started on July, 30 just two or three days prior to the Bitfinex hack might well be the hackers themselves and those "in the know" massively shorting/selling bitcoins across the markets. After an obvious attempt at igniting a panic selling when the price plummeted down to $465 for a few moments, there was a strong rebound soon afterwards, when it became abundantly clear that this attempt had ultimately failed...

And now we are essentially trying to get back to the pre-hack price levels
