Could see the potential for them to figure out who he is and force him to play ball or get the Snowden treatment. Reflecting on the issue for some time because it seems to be a ongoing issue knowing who he/she could be I came to the conclusion it was not a good thing for his safety.
If its not the government that do him in,there are people that would think he is sitting on valuable info or bitcoins that could be worth their well to attempt kidnapping him/her.
If Satoshi was to come forward and not have any of those things happen I would be shocked but going back to government...
I would treat him the way I treat apple after they claimed not to hand over a way to get into that terrorists cellphone. It was suspect and I would suspect he/she also had given the government a way to circumvent bitcoin when the time was needed. Call me a tinfoil hat thinker but I tend to think that way about a lot of stuff.

If Satoshi comes out in the open, no one can predict whether it will be beneficial or detrimental for Bitcoin. For example, if he is someone with a past criminal activity, then it can affect the reputation of Bitcoin. Also, it will be interesting to see how the authorities react. In all probability, they will try to jail him for challenging the fiat money system.

I can't figure out why satoshi is still a mystery. At least his friends or family member should know about this invention then why they don't reveal the secret what's the use of keeping it secret. They might think that if they reveal the truth they might be arrested by police because it's a public property which affects paper currency. But if he reveals the truth then he might face some problems that why he is not cunning up. It's my opinion.

Likely nothing would change, chances are he would be viewed as a target for a lot of countries and they would likely want to get their hands on him (or them) and gain access to the base technology behind Bitcoin.

Now of course that is assuming there is enough information to prove that he's the real satoshi, and until that information is made available I don't think he would rustle anyone's jimmies.

I doubt he ever will, and i think he is smart enough to not.  he would be hounded for years if he did.  and yes i reckeon in some countries they would be after him for millions in unpaid taxes on his bitcoin fortune.

I don't think it will make any difference to bitcoin if Satoshi reveals himself.
There are the mining pools and the traders and who know who else pulls some strings in the background.
And everybody is looking out for the best outcome for himself.
I don't think that Satoshi could do much against the idea of profit.
Business would just go on the same way it does today.

Satoshi will never be revealed - I also do believe Satoshi is not just one person - was there multisig for the first block, did it exist back then? That would explain why no one has been tempted by the riches waiting in the first block!

How would Satoshi prove anything now? PGP and private keys can be handed over. Most of his accounts have been fucked with now. Research could be collated and faked. It may well be too late, not that the real person or persons is going to show now.

He would never want himself to be revealed. Why? Because he has created something that is amazing for us but the enemy for governments: privacy. It's not the privacy we're thinking at right now anymore, they want it to be in their hands, to be controlled.

If he stayed anonymous for up to 7 years and more I don't think he will reveal himself anytime soon if he will at all. I think nothing would happen to bitcoin unless he decide to try to hack it as he can do it considering he is the creator he knows all of the basics.

If he doesn't intervene in anything then absolutely nothing will happen to bitcoin because bitcoin has a really good team of developers behind it(core developers).

Well just look at what happened to Craig Wright when he claimed that he was Satoshi Nakamoto. They { authorities } came down on him like a

ton of bricks. The world and mainstream media scrutinized every move he made and turned everyone against him. {That he brought on himself}

The same happened to Dorian Nakamoto ... So if I were the real Satoshi Nakamoto, I would stay hidden forever.

I think there are not anything will happening with bitcoin, bitcoin will depend on to users, developer and comunity. Even if Satoshi Nakamoto show up him self, because bitcoin has be changed to more better by developer and comunity who care about bitcoin.

Bitcoin would most likely be the same, I think. We came thus far without his guidance, so... Satoshi appearing would be another voice just like any other. Governments would definitely be on top of him ASAP (if they aren't already) and would probably seize his things and/or arrest him.

What the interest of government is wanna for jailing satoshi?

If satoshi nakamoto reveals himself i think there's so many issues that he will face .interviews and jurisdictions. He can be hired to the government where he belongs or caught by CIA/FBI to work with them . Satoshi nakamoto is so innovative and creative imagine how he create bitcoins like this and also bitcoins will not be the same because if he reveals himself the whole world will cover his existence and bitcoins will be known fastly.

nobody knows these things.
maybe CIA would ask him to go there and answer some questions and help them break bitcoin encryption to find some people with it.
but i don't think satoshi will ever be revealed in our lifetime.

It will have no effect on Bitcoin. Maybe the price will go up or maybe it will go down. We do not really know. The government cannot pursue him. What did he do? He only created a protocol based on concepts from cryptography. What will they put him in jail for?

I do not care who Satoshi really is and in my opinion it would be better not to know and keep the mystery alive. But I still get curious from time to time.

satoshi is one of those identities that we may never know who he/she or they really was/were and i think that makes it even more interesting.

but if the identity is revealed i think that day would be the hottest day for bitcoin and there is a possibility for a price drop because of panic.
