What is the need of this new coin? How it differs from other coins? Which sector or industry specific this coin gets launch?

Crypto thusfar has been plagued by volatility. What the world needs is a coin that is stable, has enough liquidity and also carries enough features and continual development to be of commercial use, DarkSilk(DSLK) fills this need.

Head over to our main thread to read more about the project, you will learn that this project has much depth.

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding the ICO:
I think I understand how the price will be pegged (from the plain English statement in the main thread), but the formula

MAX(PRICEWEEK(N) ([AMOUNT] BTC x 4 / 1,528,000 DSLK)
is not really clear.

Is what you mean that the price for one DSLK (in BTC) will be
Code:
DSLK_PRICE = max( WEEKLY_ICO_FUNDING_VOLUME_IN_BTC ) * 4 / 1,528,000
?

Cheers, and good luck with the ICO

Thank you for the thumbs up. Nice cleanup, we added a parenthesis at the end as a correction to the original typo. Basically what it says is that we consider every weeks ICO funding and measure it against each other in order to set the price. In the event that demand forces us to increase price the most volatile period would set the norm. The bonus multiplier would dampen this a bit for those who got in early.

Yes, your equation is correct. The week with the highest volume sets the price for all four weeks. It may be more accurately stated as follows, though:
Code:
argmax WEEKLY_VOLUME_BTC*cos(PRICE_ELASTICITY_OF_DEMAND) * 4 / 1,528,000
where argmax == DSLK_PRICE && DSLK_PRICE is on the interval [0.25, 2.5]; PRICE_ELASTICITY_OF_DEMAND is in the range of all real numbers

IMHO DSLK ICO at any market place will be more efficiently, transparently, quickly and honestly than now.

Hello Investors,

If anyone doesn't see their deposit show in transactions or their balance on Weaver, simply drop us an email with the TXID and your username on Weaver to contact@silknetwork.org

If your transactions are showing on the block explorer at the correct address shown on your Weaver addresses, then you have nothing to fear, it is simply because Matthew has been handling transactions manually to ensure the upmost care is taken with user funds.

He is logging each individual transaction to your username/email and database entry on Weaver, then updating your balances manually and your transaction history manually also. Matthew then transfers the funds deposited out to the 4/6 CoPay MultiSig and updates the ICO Statistics Page, again, manually.

This is also the case with the Silkcoin->Silk swap and the way that is carried out.

So, as you can probably appreciate this does take a little longer than using an automated script, but it is done by hand and with care. We are dealing with a lot of funds and take this very seriously.

This all being said I would like to take this opportunity to again apologise to the previous users who have had this issue, users who are having this issue and possibly users that will have this issue.

Many thanks for your understanding and please get in touch if your effected by this issue,

At a $ 0.25 rate that would mean high in the 29k coins.
The brochure states that at a Stormnode count of 500 a 37.7% annual ROI is expected.
Given that a single Stormnode requires 1,000 DSLK, we still have a long way to go!  Grin

indeed, we need a lot more investors, SILK team not doing any good advertisements about this ICO!

we need at least 200 BTC in ICO to have a good start.

Everyone wants action from the word go yet slow and steady wins the race. With these yields and assured active development investors are bound to take note. This is not to say that we are not in active pursuit. Word of mouth is a slow starter, but money talks Wink

Guys only 13BTC, you have to work with advertising.

Check the iconomi for example 2000 BTC for ICO or get the money back!

Hello Silk Network Team,

I mentioned Silk network ICO on Poloniex to fellow investors. I will mention to possible investors. Do I get extra DSLK? Also, my deposits are showing in weaver wallet, do need to withdraw BTC to ICO address? Do I have to withdraw manually for the ICO or is it done automaticly?
Thank you

Now would be the time to invest. I'm almost certain this project will pick up speed, once it hits the market.
It could be the "name", that's dissuading people from investing right away, due to the stigma of it's past.
However, only time will tell.
