ANNOUNCEMENT

Starting the 2nd week of the DarkSilk(DSLK) ICO we will be accepting Silk(SLK) payments at a 25:1 conversion rate.
Having monitored the reception of the DarkSilk(DSLK) ICO and the opening of the Silk(SLK) market on Bittrex we came to the following conclusions:

• The sell pressure in Silk(SLK) has been significant at a $0.01 rate.
• DarkSilk (DSLK) demand reaffirms a $0.25 price point.

To reduce excess Silk(SLK) liquidity on the market and to stabilise its price we will allow for Silk(SLK) payments to be made for the DarkSilk(DSLK) ICO. Greater DarkSilk(DSLK) distribution at a fair price is a welcome benefit. Silk(SLK) payments will not be eligible for bonus receivables.

The process for SLK payments will be the same as for BTC payments.

what a great news! bought tons of silk last month when polo delisted and unfortunatelly i've lost the time to sell at bittrex(3k would be awesome for now Cheesy). now i would simple hold.
put 50% in dslk and hold both seems reasonable .

Why No Escrow?

1. The BTC payments for the ICO get deposited to the 4/6 MultiSig CoPay Bitcoin Wallet.

2. The entire team is made up of eight public individuals.

3. Silk Network Ltd is a UK registered company governed by UK Law.

Matthew is really ill with a stomach flu (caught from the kids) and is a little slower at processing the transactions than the said hour, for obvious reasons (he is only human).

Do rest assured, like said before, if on the blockchain explorer you see your TX at your Weaver address, then it is there and safe.

I have been forwarding all emails from users asking about their TX's directly to him and they will be updated ASAP.

Thank you for all for your understanding with this matter and sorry.

(Before anyone asks, no, Weaver TX's are not being handled manually forever)

What kind of clients work with you?

How is this business planning on surviving and making revenue?

What encryption methods do you use on the network?

What is Weaver?

What is the difference between Silk and DarkSilk?

What are the Stormnodes?

Is this network over the ClearNet or does it use Tor?

How are you compared to other privacy centred coins like Monero, Dash or ShadowCash?

Weaver shall be brought offline for a few hours this evening for updates/maintenance.

During this time users balances and transactions will be updated and also Silkcoin->Silk swaps and withdrawals will be completed.

After Weaver comes back online, if your account hasn’t been updated, please get in touch and we will deal with it as quickly as possible.

If you have any issues, join us in #support on our Slack - https://silknetwork.signup.team/

This is the last day to grab the 15% bonus for you investment in the ICO.

Hello Silk Ntwrk,

My Weaver account still says " btc incoming". No btc deducted for DSILK as described- once per hour the Bitcoin from Weaver is transferred to the 4/6 MultiSig CoPay BTC Wallet. Nothing was deducted. When will the deduction begin? Am I still in on the ICO.

Thanks

29 BTC raised in first week? Why such low interest in ICO?

I guess investors were hoping for a SLK pump during DSLK ICO which never happened. This ICO would have gathered much steam if the price of SLK was higher.

It is very difficult to grow price of SLK (or any other coin) organically considering there are literally 100's of interesting coin out there and a dozen coming every month. The price need to be pumped to gather interest.

Silk Network Development Update - 30th September 2016

All the functions in Silk are functional, but obviously can be improved upon.
Currently we have a list of 8 open issues and 8 issues have been dealt with and closed.
Currently a pre-release binary version of 1.0.1.0 is available for Windows and this contains all the issues which have been closed: https://github.com/silknetwork/silk-core/releases

Closed issues which are contained in 1.0.1.0:

RPC window remains open on shutdown (bug)
Unused sync-checkpoint function removed (bug)
Mempool memory use calculation incorrect (bug)
silk.conf creation on first start (enhancement)
DNSSeeders (enhancement)
Compiling problem with newer c++:base58 prefixes (bug)
Object::killTimer(): Error (bug)
Empty toolbar menu on Linux (Qt bug)

The current open issues are:

Makefile “make clean” needs improving (bug)
Add ability to rebroadcast transactions via the UI (enhancement)
Add commands for splitting coin via console (enhancement)
Improve the Watch-Only UI (enhancement)
Add the ability to clear Watch-Only Addresses (enhancement/bugfix)
Boost requires linking for static builds on OS X (bug)
Fix Unit Tests (enhancement)
Object::connect error (Qt bug)

With DarkSilk we are running a test network and ensuring that the current features are working as desired. We do have a list of open issues the same as Silk(SLK) and are working through these. All work carried out on DarkSilk is being handled in a private repo up until launch.

The current work that has and will be carried out can all be viewed on the Silk Network GitHub:
