Controlling your temper in gambling

Im always doing the no.1. Its good to set a limit of win/loss coz staying in a gambling site for a long time is not a good idea as no one can win in the long run. So always set a limit of win and loss but sometimes managing the loss is hard resulting into breaking the limit you've set in loss.

you can always set the limit anytime you want , but remember to stick to the rules
it's will just useless if then you ignore everything you have planned
just be calm down , don't be hurry
play it using your heart not temper so you way will know when exactly you must stop at certain profit.

The thing is your heart is the reason of your temper in gambling, maybe the right statement would be play with your mind not with your heart. That is what professionals are doing in gambling that is why they are very successful as they are very clever not letting their emotion affect their decision making.

You are correct, gambling with your emotion is not good and in fact it is a recipe for disaster, I am not saying this based on what I hear and read from the others but this is merely based on my experience, now, I have a control already because I learn my lessons.

Agree,  you would able to control  your temper  if you already realized  and  you already experienced  the consequences  of not having  a  good  self control  on your emotions. If you realise  or experience these   things for sure you would not  need  to do it again because  you are already awared.

catching up while you are in the middle of the game, its both ways you gonna forget temper control when winning or losing because the excitement of that the game brings us. so its really better to know how much you can afford to lose to avoid completely burned out of you money.

Emotion is high when you are winning or losing in gambling. When I am losing in consecutive manner, I stop playing. I just let my attention focus to other chores and return to playing when my mood is ok. I just learned my lesson before, and gambling is  a good gauge to control yourself.

I do the same too but I am mainly a sports gambler and hence when I loose a few bets I get tempered and think that the match was fixed already and hence its really difficult to control the anger and temper. Anyways still I manage to come out of loss most of the times with my good knowledge of sports.

Yeah maybe you're right. Self-control is needed in gambling to avoid greed, and really as you say that greed would make us losers and suffered heavy losses. I also gamble in small quantities because I can gamble a few times so I can enjoy the game. I played maybe only twice a month and usually if I'm in need of comfort and want to play like poker and blackjack.

I have tackle this loosing temper problem by a simple trick which is working for me. Why we loose temper if we talk about sports betting because we keep chasing match and we watch everything in context of out bet instead of enjoying match. Now I select the match place bet and stay away of that match. Any situation doesn't effect me same thing can be applied in many gambling games.

From my opinion never get greedy because gambling is not to become rich in a day, if we don't have any control over our emotion than we have no life and no space in gambling.

the most important is don't too greedy like Terabyte said, and i am agree with this. too greedy can make us can not control our temper and finally we just loss all than we have. just thinking that we play gambling is for our spare time and don't make gambling as our main activity and you are fine.

If you find it necessary to control your temper in anything, then you should not be doing it.  Why would anyone allow themselves to become so emotionally vested in something that has nothing to do with them personally.

Yes, gambling is not easy. Before betting, we thought if we lose we can afford. But once we started to lose 2 or 3 more games. That time we can not control our temper, In that time we take wrong decisions. Means we go for wrong bets and finally we lose everything. That it’s called tilt and like you said is really difficult to avoid unless you have cold water running into your veins, that is why if you feel like you are in a state of tilt you must leave the casino immediately.

You are right. I have seen many professional gamblers who are losing their control by end of day in their gambling activities. Similarly they are gently making some profit in the beginning of the day but over time they are losing their control over emotions and also the ending up losing their gambling rounds.

Actually everyone have different situation with gambling but one thing we have same and that is, we all want to win in gambling, whenever we start to play it we never want to play or think about loss, everyone think about winning, and when we face the lose than everyone lose their temper and that is a big problem for us.
