Generally speaking I don't think that Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency could be counted as "new era currency" for many reason but one of the main reason I see is that Fiat Currency is not yet phased out, cryptocurrencies are not even dominating the market yet compared to Fiat. In order to be called a new era currency it as a currency must be wildly accepted by people and more dominant compared to Fiat currency.

Well definitely we'll get there. If we compare it to the fiats, it will be like the Bitcoin will be the dollars and these altcoins will be the other currencies, that's my opinion atleast.

This is a nice analogy, some people have been predicting a reversing where ETH surpass bitcoin in market cap, but I do not think that is going to happen anytime soon or at all since bitcoin is as you state the equivalent of the dollar, all the altcoins are priced in bitcoins that should be telling enough in my mind about the current state of things.

Yes bitcoin is the new money in the internet that you can buy these and those but it's not necessarily mean this is the future currency.
The future is still fiat and this will be use for many decades. Fiat can be use with all levels of society that you didn't needed to learn like bitcoin. No hassle and more convenient to use. Msybe bitcoin is enough in the internet and let's not complicate things for others.

i am sure that many of us will say bitcoin is the new value and new era of currency in internet as many of us know paypal, wu, payza, perfect money and else. in future, i guess bitcoin will be new money to buy or to save it as we know bitcoin is one of the investment, but this should be agree by all country. without this bitcoin is just for money to buy in internet only. we don't have to waiting for long time because for now, we can start to buy foods and others, especially in country which bitcoin is legal and i am sure we can found store offline accepting bitcoin as payment.

Btc is the new era currency or not which depends on Social awareness. If everyone likes and accepts btc deals then btc is the new era of money. So, what if the opposite?
