Yes bitcoin is the new era of currency because it is in a form of digital asset or digital coin which cannot be touched but we can hold it through the use of online wallet which can be converted into fiat currency with the help of online exchangers and trading markets.

I do believe also that bitcoin is the new era of currency because aside that it is a fprm of digital asset many investors are also choosing to invest in bitcoin rather than in banks because of the huge profit they can get from it. And also because we are currently engaged in the technology so it is easy to transact in bitcoin rather than in fiats.
