As pointed out in this post, new altcoin ideas pop up very often, often posted by newbies like myself.
I think it would be helpful to create a new forum for such topics.
It would benefit developers by providing a large pool of diverse ideas they can build on, and benefit everyone else by freeing up the Altcoin Discussion.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I thought I posted in Meta, how did this end up in Service Discussion (Altcoins)?

You could just make a thread in the Altcoin Discussion board...then add various links to other threads with Altcoin ideas within the original post.

Much easier doing it like that because you won't be using as much storage data on the website server.

It's hard participating in so many forums, if you have altcoin ideas, start a new thread and you will get lots of replies.

You thought right however you have just been taught your firs lesson on how to be a good forum admin because you will need a good moderators.
You can go ahead with your dreams but dont expect an impressive action from people when you are just starting.

There are already enough forums out there , so creating a newer one will only create another forum which would need proper management to filter spam messages or posts . Creating a forum is not a problem but generating traffic to that forum is quite hard and takes really long time .
