@OP looks like you provided a shortened link which is prohibited in this forum. To anyone who will visit tgis thread take caution in clicking the link he provided. If this is a legitimate giveaway, they would have posted enough details here in the forum to take the interests of the readers. Looks like he is only looking or people who will fall to his bait.

Hey everyone, I posted it here, because I discovered the link in my e-mail inbox, sent for showing my interest in the BitGirls ICO. I understand that it seems fishy coming from a low reputation account, but I simply want to share the opportunity for whomever wants to participate in both the giveaway and ICO. I am not affiliated with Zaif (the exchange behind BitGirls). I understand your concerns and they are legitimate, but the link is safe to click. I wasn't aware of it being shortened, as it was copied "as is" from the e-mail I received. Cheers, Who

I don't believe it. It is like those facebook posts that vlaim you can win a care just by sharing and commenting. People way out the options and decide a like and comment is so little effort they may as well do it because they might win and even if they don't win no bid deal it took 10 seconds to do. This is exactly what the scammers know people will think and why it is so good at getting people to leave comments and likes.

Yeah it's a good way to create easily sharable and likeable content. Giveaway! A lot of verified and accountable companies are using this type of promotion, mainly because it's so effective at getting social traction through it.
It's an official ICO for a japanese show BitGirls and they want to attract more customers.
Honestly I wanted to invest into the show, but after discovering how difficult their process is and how little of their content is in English I pretty much gave up on the idea.

I too hate to click shortened links as people may hide malware injecting sites behind their links. Yes, they are not safe to link. But, some people are claiming that they are using shortened links to track the visitors by having their IP address and origin of visiting. Still, here in this forum using native links are always recommended.

But, some people are claiming that they are using shortened links to track the visitors by having their IP address and origin of visiting. Still, here in this forum using native links are always recommended. Every one of us should develop the habit of unshortening links, especially from people that you're not sure whether you can trust. One website, http://unshorten.it/, offers exactly this service for free. It visits the page and prints the destination address for you. I completely understand and agree with suspicion and doubt. In my experience as an internet marketer, using short links has allowed me to gather metrics regarding specific ads that I've published. You get useful data about ad engagement and you can use that data to see which campaign promises the best results or as they call it Return on Investment (ROI). I really don't care about winning this smart-phone, but I wouldn't mind it of course. My idea here is to share the giveaway with people who are interested in getting a chance at winning this phone. I am in no way affiliated with BitGirls, but I do believe they will end up creating a profitable product, because.... japan + weird + new = success.
