I alrdy cancelled Amazon and PayPal b/c of their harsh reaction to the Wau Holland Foundation (Wikileaks NGO). I will therefore cancel my ebay account as well with over 140 positive 100% sellers feedback. A long era will come to its end for me.
Anywho.. ebay Web Usability and Fees always sucked. Good bye ebay - rot in hell!

ebay fees are ridiculous now. A couple of years ago it was something like 3-4% final value fees. now it's 10%+ |

I agree - I just cancelled by ebay & paypal accounts. Fees are way to high, resolution process is garbage and scamming is rife.

Since major brands now have "stores" on eBay... I cannot boycott any business who does business with eBay. However, what you and I CAN do is: (1) Scream it far and wide. Tell EVERYONE you come in contact with about how evil eBay-PayPal is. How they seize your money and never return it... for no reason at all. (2) If you do browse eBay, there's always a way to contact the seller directly. Get their contact information. Tell the seller that you REFUSE to do business through the eBay or PayPal system. Tell them you insist on taking your business out of ( bypassing ) eBay-Paypal's evil claws. (3) Never never never pay fees to eBay or PayPal. Never buy a listing on eBay. And certainly, never attach any bank account to PayPal. Support the blooming new alternatives springing up fast now. Ebay Germany seems to tolerate Bitcoin for the time being.
I successfully sold some BTC on ebay two days ago. The listing wasn't deleted.
Neither could I find anything in Ebay Germany's T&C and list of banned items that prohibits selling something like bitcoin.

That's the point, ebay deleted the bitcoin listings bringing as reason "it's game currency and blabla and copyright and blabla". Problem: it is not the right reason since uh bitcoin is not game currency, there aren't "copyright issues" and what else So basically they ignored the T&C and happily deleted |

Still a lot of listings going on and because bitcoin is becoming more public and it's such a pain in the ass to easily get one
many people will pay a premium to buy one on ebay, paying far higher than the market rate. I see 1btc selling for $20 or $25 dollars and they are selling, so there is a demand from the simple user who heard about it and only knows how to buy things on ebay.
I would think the solution would be to make the listing selling something physical with the bitcoin- like the bitcoin cards or
even a "bitcoin certificate" or something physical. They allow you to sell coins and bills so there is not a ban on currency... plenty of people sell mcdonalds coupons, mickey mouse dollars.. ect....
You have to make it physical and then I don't think e-bay will mess with you... but then again who knows.

There are already two ways, at least, to make BTC physical. Bitbills and the Bitcoin coin announced today. Nothing stopping people from selling these online, through ebay or otherwise. |

Either of these things seems 100% ready yet though.... and can someone explain to me how you get the btc off the card or coin and into your wallet client?
I know there is some hologram you rip and then you get some key numbers but what do you DO to get them into your own wallet? I haven't understood this yet.
Also... can't you print out a bitcoin wallet in the same fashion? So I guess you could make a bunch of wallets with 1 btc in them, and print the key and hash as a paper wallet with instructions on how to get it into a computer and sell it as a BTC certificate.. this would not violate the terms of service either although I am still a little fuzzy on how exactly you do this and get the btc from these cards or paper to an actual wallet.dat for the client to be used.

Let's all stop hating on big corporations. At least trade and interaction with them is voluntary.
In corporatist states like the US and China, trade and interaction with insurance companies is not voluntary. The USA has "eminent domain laws" which permit land seizure by the state if you refuse to sell to a corporation that will raise that tax value of said land. The last one I remember was Wal-mart and Texas. |

Well - just got scammed on ebay =/ so it's hard to really know what you're in for. Only lost 1 litecoin - so whatever..but it would have been something i preferred not to deal with.

Inept code monkeys mucking up the system
When I was into SL, I was making some decent money (real usd once converted), and it's not unlike selling anywhere online, even here. Competitors trying to undercut, copying what you designed/built, but staying ahead of the trends,.
