What happened originally that caused this coin to become delisted or was thought to be dead? Why the revival? Thanks
Original developer suddenly disappeared/abandoned the coin. From that moment, everything started going downhill. Why the revival? Why not? Coin is working fine. It is simple, user friendly. We found people who are willing to work on this coin. There are lots of coins on the market and they are mostly produced for a pump and dump scheme. Qubitcoin survived for more than 2 years (most of that time without a proper developer team). We have some ideas for QubitCoin which will hopefully make it more popular for users. Yes, there are probably few people that are still holding bigger amounts of Q2C but, as I already said, most of the coins are forever lost. You might see addresses with large amount of coins on the rich list but that doesn't mean that those wallets haven't been deleted or forgotten somewhere. QubitCoin should appear on one of the exchanges during next week or so, hopefully To start mining from the wallet, open the console and type in setgenerate true 1 where 1 represents number of CPU cores to be used for mining. If you leave out this number, mining will fully load CPU.

After richlist can be determined with high addresses are mines closed long ago. q2c also had a lot of exchanges, they also were gone along with the coins.

Interesting to estimate what % of the original remain recoverable. Sounds like only a small proportion. Also, looking at the richlist, this seems to be a surprisingly well distributed coin, with only 33% in the top 25 addresses. Many small (and not so small) coins have up to 50 % in the top 10, often with 90% in the top 100.

Blockchain stoped working the old wallets 8.4.1-8.4.3 are on block 2008003 things not going very well. New wallet 11.2.1 ccminer fails on json_rpc_call. To many problems again. Two blockchains working in parallel the old wallets on block 2008003 at this moment and the new wallet on block 2008990. Never liked unnecessary upgrade.

@zex24 : Have you made fork of Q2C form original chain and only latest clients (v11) can switch on forked chain?

I am not a developer but as far as I know this wasn't the case. We were using both versions past few weeks and it was working OK. I am trying to contact willowrose (developer).
Until we resolve all this I think all of us should use only new version.
If the block difference is only 3000 or 4000 (between two blockchains) and someone lost coins from that period, I will reimburse all (I just need some proof). Hope this is OK.

The different block chains is due to the new 0.11 clients starting to enforce the soft-forks from Bitcoin (BIP34, BIP65, etc).
These are enforced if a certain number of blocks are mined on the new wallet.
Since the majority seems to be on the new wallet, I suggest everyone upgrade to the new version to remain compatible.
To get the fork info on the new wallet you can type:
getblockchaininfo
{ "chain" : "main", "blocks" : 2010486, "headers" : 2010486, "bestblockhash" : "00000006a0f46da556779ea27b0ae43054ab294500ea1bfbe5a97871a8c35eed", "difficulty" : 0.13478134, "verificationprogress" : 1.00000026, "chainwork" : "000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001dc91cf4f3258c", "pruned" : false, "softforks" : [ { "id" : "bip34", "version" : 2, "enforce" : { "status" : true, "found" : 8000, "required" : 750, "window" : 8000 }, "reject" : { "status" : true, "found" : 8000, "required" : 950, "window" : 8000 } }, { "id" : "bip66", "version" : 3, "enforce" : { "status" : true, "found" : 8000, "required" : 750, "window" : 8000 }, "reject" : { "status" : true, "found" : 8000, "required" : 950, "window" : 8000 } }, { "id" : "bip65", "version" : 4, "enforce" : { "status" : true, "found" : 8000, "required" : 750, "window" : 8000 }, "reject" : { "status" : true, "found" : 8000, "required" : 950, "window" : 8000 } } ] }

In later Bitcoin they changed the rpc interface. It now uses a new call "getblocktemplate" https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/GetblocktemplateHave you tried an updated miner? This one looks like it supports qubit and getblocktemplate: https://github.com/Atrides/sph-sgminer
