Could the dev explain what will happen with the 28.000.000 pies that would be used for development.. in the initial plan of 400.000.000 pies they only represented 7% of the supply.. now that all those pies are burned the 28.000.000 pies are around 40% ... I guess that the best move would be to burn the same percentage of them and using around 3.000.000 pies.. if nothing is done then the distribution of the coin is messed up and there is no future here

Hi all, I've seen this message is that the dev abandoned the project is that true ?

Hi gradys225 and all,

I am not a trader but a developer, but this coin impressed me, so:

I don't know if the dev abandonded the project forever but I think there still is a chance of his return. He's been not active at the forum for 8 days now, but:

A project like this is probably very difficult to handle concerning all of the stuff the dev did:

- settling some cool rules for a new cryptocurrency (e.g. 1 minute chain progressing time, 20% annual staking fees for owners who support the network by a running client, no need of mining processor power for any client or server node, etc.)

- programming this coin (based on traditional satoshi code), providing the code at GitHub for everyone to compile (I did it at Linux so far) and preparing a user friendly wallet for Windows and Mac OS.

- setting up servers running the coin.

- building a great Web Page declaring the concept and some kind of a timetable of upcoming  features...

- bringing the coin into c-cex, novaexchange, tradesatoshi markets (and maybe more, I don't know).

- answering questions about 150 times at this forum.

According to my own life experience I would assume that the dev is just some kind of exhausted and needs rest!

Now there are rumours that he's gone with an outcome of about 4 BTC at March 06...
But the ICO price he paid at c-cex is 3 BTC... !?

Would one think that the work I mentioned is only worth 1 BTC?
I don't think so!

All Websites relating to this coin are online. I will post a message in a few minutes about that. Just to make this reply not too long.

i hope dev not abandonded the project-forever, just some delay. following in the roadmap, social sending and merchant solution should launch right now. but yeah, dev not active since 8 days ago.

I think PIECoin is still a great Coin.

There are only about 70.000.000 circulating because the most has beeen burned at c-cex burn-address. That's a low supply for an alt-coin.

Besides the great Website at piecoin.tech there are more evidences of life of the pie:

- the connection list at cryptochat: http://piecoin.thecryptochat.net/network

- the richlist: http://piecoin.thecryptochat.net/richlist

I am running a server node myself to help this coin getting more and more stable.

And one important note: a coin like PIECoin is open source, the piecoin-network cannot be shut down by one person! it will continue running even if the original dev will not support it in the future. There are maybe others who like to care about the development of PIE. I am definetily one of those Smiley

Just forked the original PIE source at GitHub onto my account at:

https://github.com/flintsoft/PIE

Thinking about doing the Android and Web Wallet Clients myself, if dev won't recover Wink

PIE is not dead! It just sleeps Smiley

Hi all,

because PieCoin is stable at the markets and the coin network runs smoothly, I've started to build Android Wallet based on Electrum server and Coinomi App. This work isn't easy and will require some time.

Btw: I think it could be useful to provide you with updated versions of the Win/Mac Os Clients which contain actual nodes.

And a Linux Wallet which I've already compiled and running is interesting for someone maybe.

I am looking forward to getting any tips concerning what would be the most required update/download in the next few days.

Stay tuned,

Pikku

in my post yesterday I forgot to mention that PIE is also still active at Coin Market Cap:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/piecoin/

and that you can stake it great at POSWallet: https://poswallet.com/

Cheers, Pikku
