after a long silence, thought I do something wrong, but today I noticed that my wallet was gone pie it was a couple of days ago I brought a purse with about 700000 pie I was left with 300,000 thousand then I noticed that I lost 5000тыcяч today and lost another 4,000 are you kidding?

That sounds like your wallet has been compromised. Sounds like someone has access to your wallet client by entering your computer over the network. Did you encrypt your wallet?

I would suggest everyone staking PIEs to encrypt their wallets by setting a passphrase and unlock afterwards for staking only (this is the default option when unlocking) - everything found in the Settings menu. At first encrypt your wallet and then, unlock it 'For staking only'.

PIEs seem to be a target for some thieves... but if you have encrypted your wallet they shouldn't have a chance to steal these sweet pies.

I have an encrypted wallet running with a lot of PIEs for many weeks and never had any losses.
It is just yielding interest at a rate of 20% annually, exactly like the info at piecoin.tech

An unsynchronized Wallet could be a problem, too...

...but I will write about that in the next post.

hold on all, PIEs do have a future, it depends on our network!

because this Coin is really great! The chain works for about 6 months now!

But we need more network activity!

Have you been in touch with the dev? Why keep supporting a project if there is no news of forward progress, unless you know something the rest of us don't? Everyone seems to be staking a dead coin that might be pumped on Yobit for no reason. I also LIKED the project, I have some staking on my PosW online wallet, and the returns are EXCELLENT, but if there is no forward progress I would like to know.

The chance is not too bad. The social sending function was one of the features which got me into PieCoin.
I often think about the development of this feature. But this task doesn't seem to be easy.
I will write about that in a future post. I think we will have to build a community to achieve this.

For now, I am concentrating at providing useful 'classic' wallets (i.e. Linux, Mac OS, Windows) with good network connections.
The network has to grow first - then we can go further.
Info about the actual wallets in my next post.

All of them are compiled with fresh root nodes and I hope you can run these versions without installing additional packages.

Please give me feedback, especially on the Mac OS Version because I couldn't test it at a fresh system. Should work 10.8 upwards.

There are buyers every day - not too much trade but there is still interest in this coin.

I don't think the outlook is too bad. There were some nice gains to be made in the past weeks. The price is now still hovering around the last ICO price and it did not crash completely like so many other coins. The maximum coin supply is very reasonable.

I was thinking of creating an address for collecting PIE, BTC and other altcoin donations so that they could be used to pay listings in exchanges and other things. Yobit or Livecoin Generally, I was thinking about taking over the social function of this coin.

Only still possible that DEV will come back, last login a month ago so it is not so bad.
