I don't know why Africans are not using bitcoin and related things.
You say
Quote
we don't study or we underrate the potentials of bitcoin?
so why you think this?
ps Where you come from? because I think South Africa is a nation that use a lot btc and has also some start up's , but I think in the center of Africa there isn't the same situation.

Maybe a great part of people there don't have computers, laptops, cell phones or acessible internet to connect themselves to the Crypto-Currency world.

But slowly I'm sure they will start using BTCs over the internet. It's a good way for them to make easy and fast profit also, it will help them a lot!

You cannot reallynsay that they are not on bitcoin hence we are all anonymous here, maybe some africans are hiding there identity since we don't need to shout out that we are africans and we are bitcoin users, and not only in this furom you can actually see all the bitcoin users just go outside and search them on fb,twitter or any other social media sites you can really see that they exist on using it.

I think many people in africa are using bitcoins this is just like the same as mine that i also introduce it in my place but no one also know about it.. but some people are interested here in my place because they are looking for extra income.
Maybe sooner or later you can find some bitcoin users here from your place..

I have to say, I don't find it surprising that OP hasn't found much interest, but that has little to do with him being from Africa (it'd be nice to know what country, BTW).  I'm in the US and I've tried to get other people interested to no effect.  You either like bitcoin or you don't, and the community at large is pretty damn small.  But props to OP for trying to spread the word.

If the original Backside walkaround can prove to me they are the old owner of this account, I can update the email address to the email address of their choosing.
Backside walkaround has lost access to their account as they used someone else's email address to sign up, and the owner of the email address got tired of random email notifications from this site after a few months and reset the password.

I am sure majority of the reason has to be an absence of a good internet infrastructure and technology. In a recent documentary, African exchanges charge upto 50% of the amount transferred as fees for a single transfer, so bitcoin definitely makes sense. But the only reason it didn't get so popular is lack of access to internet, and inavailability of an exchange to sell those bitcoins.

Africa is suffering from poverty for a very long time. Maybe that's why they didn't know about bitcoin and not interested on it because they are more curious on the things that will easily get them up from poverty. Maybe they are also lack in technologies, like they don't have smartphones or laptop at home and so on. I know bitcoin would easily help them to have a source of income in which they can use in their everyday lives but the thing is they are not interested on it because they might also think that bitcoin is hard to earn that requires complex solution something like that. I guess it would be great if someone who has influence on people will explain this thing to them in order them to understand more and can be easily persuade.

I can't really say that  most of the Africans or the Africa it self are  really not into bitcoin or Crypto industry. Maybe they just have their own platform or i think that you've said that one because you can't find or know someone that is an African in this forum.

The only thing I can see happening at the moment is scammy projects like BitLand (look it up, I don't want to get pissed about it again lol) making big promises through crypto due to lack of...'regulation' (not sure the best word).  For example, they promise 'land registry' in Ghana, where land is often controlled by various chiefs/tribes varying region-to-region...and oftentimes land ownership is finalized with a bullet rather than pen & paper.  See where problems might arise...?  Roll Eyes

I don't agree with you to say that Africans do not know much about bitcoin. If you want to know African country that has far gone into the business of using Bitcoin then check on Nigeria, you can get so many discussion on their biggest forum on nairaland.com in the investment section. Hence, to me some African countries have gone far in that regard.

maybe they are been out numbered by some nationalities who using bitcoin but surely they exist. and im pretty sure that they are making theirselves anonymous so they wont be bothered by some politics in this furom nor on outside world, but seriously bitcoin is known in the world so theirs no surprise if we can see some africans or any far to imagine people whos using it(not mentioning those aliens).

Neither do I. Maybe it's just lost in translation. Maybe just showing them the benefits will help you educate them with cryptocurrency. It's kind of strange that you're lumping everyone in Africa together though. What country do you live in?

The country that i knew used bitcoin is south africa and egypt. Also i knew some users here from africa.
Though in Africa around 9.4 % of the world population has an internet connection today. I think people out there are not interested to bitcoin or maybe less exposure of the bitcoinin that area.

I understand about it, too difficult for the people in Africa for understanding about bitcoin and according to from a lot of the education rating of African are always in the under level comparing with the asian.. and that is very low and you will need more effort for that.

No. I know few forum members who are from African countries. So, not sure about your circumstances also due to high anonimity maintained by every member here in this forum hard to know who are all from which continent. Maybe you are right in percentage of users from Africa.

From my observation from bitcointalk, African are not really make it in bitcoin or other altcoin. I try to introduce bitcoin to my colleague but it seen their don't understand what am saying. Is it that we don't study or we underrate the potentials of bitcoin?
No. I know few forum members who are from African countries. So, not sure about your circumstances also due to high anonimity maintained by every member here in this forum hard to know who are all from which continent. Maybe you are right in percentage of users from Africa.
my observations was based on local knowledge of bitcoin in my area. I find out that 90% of people from were I come from don't have knowledge on bitcoin, in fact their don't even believe that minig bitcoin is possible. Some of the people think bitcoin is another thing like PayPal or liberty deserve.
