If you like BTC you have to use at least one faucet.

Imagine when all of a sudden, all of us stopped using faucets, how the market cap would shrink along with the bitcoin price? I would say, a lot. I have no specific data ( if any ) on how much cap is consumed by micro-earnings, only speculations tell me that it can be more than 20%.
In order to keep BTC demand at current rate, any one should use some
form of micro-online-earning systems, so that faucet owners can keep buying more, resulting in steady/constant demand growth.

I think it wouldn't make a tiny bit of difference to btc's price if faucets sites disappeared, micro earning sites do help newbies to get started with bitcoin but they don't power 20% of market cap.

Faucets are good for people new to bitcoin but a serious bitcoin user has not got time to mess about with such crap earnings, and actually they end up putting your fees up eventually when you use coin from a faucet.

I like the whole faucet concept and I am still using some of them because I've build and big referral list that gives me a nice passive income every month,it will not make me rich of course but as long as it is passive it is more than welcome.
But let's be honest faucets may be important for newbies but if they all disappear tomorrow the impact on Bitcoin ecosystem will be insignificant.

Faucets is good earning method for the newbies and new comers to Bitcoin world, I believe that every bitcoiner has used faucet before, but now it is difficult to come back to faucets after we discovered other methods which are much better of claiming faucets, faucets now are waste of time, at least look at your signature and think how much time you need to earn an equal amount of Bitcoin to the amount you get by posting this post.

I really doubt the faucet owners do buy bitcoin directly, just the big paying faucets have to do such with their adsense earnings, the most faucets do use networks that pays in bitcoins, soo they just balance the income and the payments doing such. The faucets marketplace is currently one of the biggest into transactions done, and i do believe into payouts as well, i do believe around 5-10bitcoins are being credited  into those people which use them.

I like your idea, however i don't think many advance bitcoin user liked your idea because 1 month faucet earning can be earned through 2 or 3 post from signature campaign, there are still a lot of user use faucets especially the newbie in bitcoin world, so don't worry faucet is going to extinct

I don't know if the makes much sense... The faucet earnings are very low these days... People aren't making much money with that. I don't know if faucet users have power to influency market cap. Maybe a bit...

I'm always using faucets, low profit, but let's help the faucet owners and earn some satoshis with it.

I think faucets do serve a purpose, especially for those newbies trying to figure out how to earn a little amount of bitcoin. I have to admit that the first earning I had came from a faucet by solving captchas, although most other faucets aren't really worth the time for those who have better things to do.

Faucet's is a small part of the bitcoin and that is will not consuming over than 2% of the total market cap and why because too many faucet are get a die caused by can't making their capital for running their faucet. I just assuming the top 10 of the bitcoin faucet and every of them are not having more than 50 btc in their hand and I could assuming if the 50 btc are very larger for the small task like a faucet.

100% pure garbage. There's no money in faucets and everyone with half a brain has figured that out. It's great to get a few Satoshis when you're a newbie but if anyone is trying to earn a decent amount from faucets they're just wasting hours to earn pennies. No. 20% of the market cap is not coming from faucets.

This is  just  nonsense,  i clicked   the  option on  the  poll.  Even though faucets are  part on  bitcoin ecosystem  but still  it wont affect much   even  people  would  leave all those  faucets things  because  its really a waste of  time and  effort and people would  surely  find  another way to earn  even more and also  faucet sites are  gradually  decreasing because  its  not profitable  nowadays for the owners of it.

...The wealthy people think faucets are a waste of time and the poor think it is FREE money and Manna from heaven....

only idiots think faucet is Free money or even a good way of earning money because there are so many downsides in using a faucet.
the waste of time is the most obvious one that everybody would think of as soon as you say faucet!

but another important thing that is usually ignored is that using faucets will create lots of dust (micro UTXOs) in your wallet and when you want to spend them you find out that you have to pay a couple of days worth of faucet work to pay the fees.

also another important thing is that you can get infected with malwares just by visiting a website especially since they force you to turn your adblock off!

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

Faucets are good when people first learn about Bitcoin.
It gives you a chance to get some coins, make a wallet and store them.
Then you can practice sending/ receiving some coins so you know how to make a transaction.

But once you have that knowledge, a faucet pays so little for your time.
You will be lucky if you earn a couple pennies a day from all the sites put together.
There are simply better things you can do with your time.

this is not true and it does not even make any sense!
neither faucet users nor the faucet owners make any significant money so you can even call it a percentage of daily volumes! at best it is only 0.01% of the total volume which is transacted everyday with bitcoin and that percent is with a lot of room.

p.s. what does your yobit key giveaway has to do anything with anything here that you posted a link to it in your OP?!!

Thanks for your thoughts so far guys. Some posts though... so much anger, much wow  Shocked
I suppose my initial claim was kinda wrong but lets check something here.
If a successful faucet, like for example faucetGo, can pay out 2.5BTC in a week -> this gives 10BTC in a month. There are ~1400 faucets in faucetbox alone (BTC and others combined)
Raw calculations tells me that ~14KBTC is needed every month to sustain status-quo and this is for faucetbox alone. Don't know how many stand-alone micro earnings websites are out there but those numbers can easily double. Now how about surveys providers? Those are also paying serious amounts every day. I would say that 40K Bitcoins are being spread across the globe every month, just from micro-earnings/faucets. Try to see a bigger picture here. If this branch is no more than 40K have to have some overall impact on the BTC price.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you what to do with your time Smiley just wondering that's all.

I must admit that I started with faucets.
But faucets were more creative at that time, and the amount they paid was worth at least a little something.
These days faucets are flooded with advertisements in letters I can not even read and you get 100 Satoshis per claim!
100 Satoshis! If you are lucky! With the chance to get a nasty virus that destroys your computer. That's ridiculous!

Nobody today can make amounts with faucets that are worth the time you put in it. Not the user, not the owner.
The only people who profit from faucets are the ones behind the bot atacks. And I really don't want to support those.

  It's me!!!

If you like BTC you have to use at least one faucet.     EDB3 :o3

Interesting theory.

I`ve never used faucets and i will never use them. It`s a waste of time.

I don`t think that btc price depends on how much faucet owners buy btc to giveaway to the faucet users.
