I'm perplexed, bud. The only time you've ever mentioned Bitcoin 100 (or Bitcoin100 for that matter) on this forum was above. To be fair, if you can provide proof of donations, we'll be more than happy to make things right. You shouldn't have any issues with anonymity given 1NastyFRkeUTmMdbMmzggDVTQA6r3ibUoX's history, but if you do, please PM me details to help in resolving this minor issue.

Collectively, all the donors contributed to 83 good causes (minus any rogues making it pass the vetting process). That said, I look forward to your reply.

Bruno

I don't make it a point to publicly announce all my charitable donations.  I'm perplexed why anyone who donated to a charity would want a rebate (I certainly do not), or why you didn't choose another worthy cause.  Sorry if that was off topic.  There is nothing to "make right" with me.  My last donations to the Bitcoin 100 were back in 2014, so I'd like to believe they found their way to a charity.  I see the https://www.austinfoodbank.org/bitcoin I have more recently donated to is no longer in service either.  There seems to be a lack of Bitcoin charitable donation options these days...  Also, I don't control the NastyFans public address you posted above.

https://www.austinfoodbank.org/bitcoin this is the only food bank i saw upon searching

Since there were no other suggestions, I have donated the entirety of the BTC held in escrow to the Austin Food Bank.  Thanks to those who tried to make this a success.  It is possible something like this may be tried again in the future, but for now I'm bringing this to a close (I don't want to hold the escrow funds forever).

https://www.austinfoodbank.org/bitcoin can now be found at https://www.centraltexasfoodbank.org/bitcoin using the same BWA 1ARxKuBArW8XzJQNGoRC5RZBVqhb4Tx5yx.

Not only did they change their name, but expanded: Bastrop County food pantry to benefit from Austin food bank expansion

Quote
Austin-based Capital Area Food Bank has taken on a name – Central Texas Food Bank — one that more accurately reflects the organization’s founding role: carrying nutritious food to the hungry in 21 Central Texas counties, including Bastrop.

The Central Texas Food Bank will operate out of an expanded, state-of-the-art facility in Southeast Austin and is expected to open June 20.

President and CEO Hank Perret said the shift would benefit all the organization’s partners, including the 13 pantries that serve populations in Bastrop, Elgin, Smithville and the rural areas in between.

“We are going to have a lot more food to distribute to people,” Perret said.

The new 135,000-square-foot facility has a production kitchen, 15 loading docks, seven times more fridge and freezer space and nearly three times as much dry storage space.

“Today we are not hitting all the people that are food insecure,” Perret said. “Now, we’re going to be able to do that.”

Be careful with really old members showing up to collect that have been inactive for a long time. The forum database has been leaked and many old accounts have been showing up recently... I would hate for some scammer to get a donation refund from you and this good project.

Thanks so kindly for the advice, bud, but I have taken that into consideration, having my own way of knowing who's who. Case in point, I'm having some doubts about the Bees Brothers' submission.  Shocked Shocked Shocked <and a wink>

No problem! Here's hopefully a favorable solution: I'll personally send BurtW 0.4378 BTC, in essence splitting your (CBH) donation in half, so that Rassah still receives the added compensation for his efforts. Furthermore, to quasi-satisfy OgNasty (re: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16678168#msg16678168), I'll personally donate $100 USD to https://www.centraltexasfoodbank.org/bitcoin.

FYI, OP says "INVALID BBCODE".

I PM'd you my address.

Thanks for organizing this.

Yeah, just saw that myself, bud. Posted a quick update in the OP then went to the bathroom sans checking the revision. qxzn, you've been included on List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors in the OP since very shortly after you first PM'ed me. In re the anomaly, all I did was add a warning about bitcoin.org not being a safe site according to my assessment since it's no longer in our control thanks to that retard edd.  Grin Grin Grin

EDIT: Weird! I can't include the following in the OP for some unknown reason even if I reword it, thinking at first that the BBCODE wrapped around WARNING! was the issue.

WARNING! bitcoin100.org is no longer in our control, controlled by some other entity that may have incorporated malware (or the like) which may effect operating devices. My last (recent) visit seems to verify my assessment.

Ironically, it was my discovery by happenstance that caused theymos to change some code on this forum - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1526858.0 - hence his solution --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1526858.msg15364958#msg15364958 now generating INVALID BBCODE on occasion.

Unfortunately, when I brought the above to attention, it was uncovered that I am one of the original first ten Cypherpunks, and if you believe that, I suggest you mortgage your home so to purchase as much as possible of Chantha Owen Lueung and Leroy Fodor's RateCoin.  Roll Eyes

EDIT: This is so weird! I can't even post the following [as written] in the OP at the top of the page:

is no longer in our control, controlled by some other entity that may have incorporated malware (or the like) which may effect operating devices. My last (recent) visit seems to verify my assessment

For all intents and purposes, the following will have to suffice [added in the OP]:

WARNING!: bitcoin100.org is no longer in our control. The current site may be unsafe.

EDIT: Now I can't add the following after the above in OP without generating the BBCODE warning:

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16691275#msg16691275.

I will get her an extra present and thank you very much!

Update on daughter:  last year (4th grade) the teacher asked all the kids in the class to research a topic of concern, create a presentation and present it to the class.  Most of the kids presented typical 4th grade topics of concern (cruelty to animals, recycling, etc.).  Her presentation was "Stop the Madness:  Civil Asset Forfeiture".

She gave her presentation to the class including details of my arrest, etc.  Interestingly she said many of her classmates flat out did not believe her and accused her of making the whole thing up.

This year the students in her class have all been tasked with presenting a civics lesson of some kind.  I can't wait to see what she does.

Post whatever you wish, bud. The self-moderation was only put in place to deter derailments of the welcoming kind, with even some of those I'll be somewhere fair with. The truth be known, I would have to go through a learning curve to learnt how to delete a post in a self-moderated thread given I've never done such prior.

Satoshi Nakamoto is ... <beep, beep ... beep ... beep, beep ...> Excuse me, but please turn off your bitcoin txs alerts during the duration of my talk. Thank you. Where was I? Oh, yeah.
