EDIT:https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/uk/londonBitcoin 100's remuneration process is officially close to any users who've once donated to the cause but failed to reply to any of the four PMs I've personally sent them. jake262144 is the only user needing to be verified, in which his chances look good thanks to theymos' efforts. EDIT: Tomorrow, the 24th (12/2016), is the last day we'll accept PM or post replies from users who've kindly donated to Bitcoin 100 over the years. Again, apologies to any of those unfortunate enough to miss the remuneration process. Looks like Unsung and The Water Project will both be equally endowed with a handsome donation. UPDATE: The refund amount is now 0.368 BTC per bitcoin originally donated to Bitcoin 100 for the last 25 donors listed below who've yet to reply to the initial and first follow-up PMs. This rate will only change if some unforeseen event raises its ugly head. To date (11/15/16), no posts have been deleted from this self-moderated thread. Note to users whose accounts have sat dormant for a spell: Expect to jump through a minor hoop or two so to verify you are the original owner of said account whom donated to Bitcoin 100 now seeking remunerations. It'll be I, Bruno, conducting the test(s) with theymos acting as a backup if his assistance is required. Quick Edit: Any and all donations to me have been and will continue to be redonated to Rassah for his efforts which equals or most likely surpasses my efforts during the course of Bitcoin 100. With that said, consider stating allocations directly to him on this thread or via PM if not planning on doing such directly, along with considering donating to the NPO's we've endowed which still accept bitcoin donations (the annotated list is at the top of the 5th post - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096). NOTE: The OP will be amended due to reaching the 64K posting limit. All the content will still be available on the OP, and second and third post of this thread unless other issues arise, whereupon an update will provide directions. The current major change is that the table depicting users addresses et al. is at the top of the third post of this thread, with intent of moving it back here once I complete amending it, moving the list of charities to either the second or third post. Apologies for any confusions, but rest assured that all relevant content will not be change, just rearranged is all.EDIT: Where all the tables and major lists are located, moved from original location(s) due to the forum's 64K posting constrains: List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors: OP/this post below the fold. Bitcoin 100 Transactions: January 2013 - Present: (2nd post) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16662342#msg16662342Bitcoin 100 Transactions: December 2011 - December 2012: (3rd post) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16662346#msg16662346List of Endowed Charities: (5th post) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096List of Verified Unknown Donators: (also 5th post, below the above) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096. Rest assured that I haven't deleted any of the original content with the exception of correcting grammatical errors and clearing up the text reflecting the locations of the above (said task now complete). To date (11/3/16), nary a post has been deleted from this self-moderated thread. That should take care of all the major housecleaning, with the only ongoing edits to the OP being that of updating the List of Donators as they remit their addresses, subsequently linking their corresponding remitted BTC to a txID.
Firstly, to address why this thread is self-moderated, it's to control any unnecessary drivel from my formidable fanbase, in which they're more than welcome to start their own thread(s) related to this topic et al., reserving this thread for those (for the most part) who've directly contributed to Bitcoin 100 interested in remunerations and the process thereof put forth. tl;dr: If you're a listed Bitcoin 100 contributor (see list below), submit your current active bitcoin wallet address on this thread and/or PM me via the same user account utilized when you originally donated to Bitcoin 100, whereupon your refund will be processed in a timely manner. Contacting users via PMs began after starting this thread. A brief history: Bitcoin 100 was created by me on November 22, 2011, with the intent (subsequently successful) of bringing further awareness to Bitcoin via endowing bitcoins to the then current non-cryptocurrency-accepting charitable organizations once they formally embedded a Bitcoin button (or the like) on their respective websites for the acceptance of bitcoin donations. Bitcoin 100's bitcoin wallet address was only accessible by Rassah, with Roger Ver provided the private key(s) in case of a proverbial bus incident. Not one satoshi entrusted to us was ever intentionally misappropriated nor did any of Bitcoin 100's core administrators (myself; Rassah; edd) ever receive any form of monetary compensation toward our volunteered efforts or for maintaining Bitcoin 100 - viz. the now defunct bitcoin100.org - during the past five years. WARNING!: bitcoin100.org is no longer in our control. The current site may be unsafe. Since its inception, Bitcoin 100 endowed exactly 83 NPOs, most of which priorly were not familiar with Bitcoin specifically, let alone cryptocurrencies (or blockchain technologies) in general. Those 83 entities, depicted in the second [significant] table below the fold at the top of the 5th post of this thread (moved to its current location) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096 - received exactly 681.74286264 BTC valued near-$83K USD when endowed, with 49 of them still accepting bitcoin donations (some now accepting other cryptos) to this very day. The last charity endowed was Northern California DX Foundation over a year ago on July 22, 2015, which brings us to today where Bitcoin 100 still has 109.46781528 BTC in its coffer, the last anonymous [dust] donation of 0.00010168 BTC ($0.05 USD) contributed on January 12, 2016. Given that the majority of the most recent (and periodically over the years) suggested solution voiced on the Bitcoin 100 thread and privately as to what to do with the unspent funds is to return them to those who've contributed - a foregone impossibility on a one-for-one [bitcoin] basis - a quasi-ideal resolution that's reasonably fair and likely acceptable by most donors needed to be formulated. And that's exactly what I believed I've accomplished over the course of the past couple weeks, in which the first three posts of this thread should bear evidence to that fact of dedicating said timeframe to, again, achieving an equitable solution. I've successfully identified 75 contributors ( last table below) along with their exact BTC [accumulative] contributions over the years, all worthy of receiving an equal share per 1 BTC donated devised by a simple formula upon determining the exact number of bitcoins donated by said 75 donors --> 228.40755654 BTC. That sum reflects what was directly contributed to Bitcoin 100's coffer which does not include any donations made directly to endowed charities, the latter, understandably, will not be returned partially or otherwise. In re the simple formula, of the 109.46781528 BTC, 100 BTC was divided by 228.40755654 BTC equating to 0.4378 BTC (rounded down) returned for every bitcoin donated (including partial BTC: e.g. BurtW's [combined] 3.43446733 BTC donation equates to a 1.50360979 BTC allotment), with nary a Bitcoiner receiving less than the USD equivalent originally donated. The 9.46781528 BTC not part of that equation is earmarked toward three other Bitcoiners not included in the accompanied table whose donations were handled separately, albeit a tad shy of what's actually needed, but that, too, is addressed on how such funds are provided for which is the same as for any sleeper unknowns et al. providing valid claims. A list of verified unknown donations follows the tables below is in the 5th post of this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096 - due to the OP's character count reaching its limit. Echoing, all Bitcoiners deemed remunerations shall receive no less than the USD they've individually donated to the Bitcoin 100 cause. To clarify 'deemed', via logic and general consensus a small handful of donors warranted exclusion from inclusion, where I, alone, was central to the determinations, of which some discussion of such might be entertained. To assure that all Bitcoiners deemed remunerations are satisfied [as outlined], the last 15.0 BTC (15%) remaining in Bitcoin 100's coffer will be readjusted accordingly. Example: If after exactly 85 BTC of the 100 BTC pool had been remitted leaving exactly 15 BTC, but 37 BTC donated by X Bitcoiners remain outstanding, then the new refundable amount would be 0.4054 BTC per every 1 BTC donated (15/37 = 0.4054 0540). It's axiomatic that not every refundable Bitcoiner will reply to my wave of PMs (including follow-up PMs and via users' other provided contact options) or see this thread in taking advantage of the windfall within the self-imposed allotted two-month-plus timeframe, namely by Christmas, ergo few, if any, of the materialized claimants will miss out on the slightly more advantageous 0.4378- BTC-per awardment. On Christmas Day, 2016 (12-25-2016), I purpose that any remaining bitcoins be equally dispersed between Jason King's Unsung and The Water Project, the contingency predicated on [if] over $1,000 USD worth of bitcoins is still available, elsewise, barring the unlikelihood, the under-$1,000 balance shall all be donated to Unsung. I envision that at least a two-grand-plus balance will still be in Bitcoin 100's debit column come Christmas Day in spite of my best efforts in making sure that all concerns have ample time to partake in the reimbursements. Anew, I, alone, resolved that 60-days-plus is considered ample time, serendipitously coinciding with endowing a couple fine charitable organizations on Christmas if all goes according to what's conceptualized. Due to this forum's 64K character limitation per post, the second and third post depict the breakdown of all the transactions to and from the Bitcoin 100 bitcoin wallet address - 1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac. The top of the second post includes annotations and notes so to better understand said posts' contents. Special Note: Once a bitcoin wallet address has been received, it'll be included below, along with the amount of bitcoins to be refunded in the REMITTED column which will be linked to the txID on blockchain.info once processed without exceptions (with apologies to anybody having privacy concerns, thus plan accordingly if an issue). This table may be moved to the top of this OP once the last two columns are TBD percent populated or the remittance process has commenced. EDIT: Location fixed. By my discretion, partyp is the only person on the list below deemed receiving their original donation back on a one-for-one BTC basis (subject to adjustment depending on the exchange rate, regardless will be fair) due to partyp loosing money if adhering to 0.4378 BTC per 1 BTC, coupled with it doesn't break the bank (nor alter the math of any significance) giving him/her an ever so slight profit (comparatively speaking). Not that we wish it, but it's possible partyp may no longer be part of the community given how long he/she's been away, thus perhaps missing out on the awardment. Regardless, a PM has been sent, with follow-up PMs up to Christmas Eve if no replies. Speaking of follow-up PMs, I'll periodically announce them on this thread, with, perhaps, starting another thread in the appropriate forum section a week prior to Christmas showcasing a complete list of names who've yet to reply. Bitcoin 100 Transactions: January 2013 - Present Upon comparing three historical-bitcoin-price sites and seeing that all three were basically in line after conducting a few test, I opted for http://www.investing.com/currencies/btc-usd-historical-data chiefly due to ease of use. The date I used is the one found in Bitcoin100's thread or on WalletExplorer (which fundamentally align with blockchain.info's date and time), e.g.: As with partyp's transaction, I merely plugged in the date August 25, 2014, to glean the average exchange rate (AXR) generated for that day. For all intents and purposes, the expressed process should suffice for any sought-after determinations. [Other] strikethrough donations not previously addressed in the OP stemmed either from accounts handled separately which were doled out accordingly or were merely anonymous dust donations, i.e. those below $0.50 USD (at the then exchange rate) according to blockchain.info's assessment. I did preform a semi-aggressive search on the Bitcoin 100 thread et al. to see if a face could be associated with the donations, perhaps augmenting a benefactor's overall contributions which proved fruitful on occasions. In re linked user names, the generated page - more often than not a forum post - verifies the donations, linking to a profile page if a user's been inactive for a spill (~2+ months; sincere efforts will be made to contact the user regardless). Any other linked-to pages should be self-explanatory, but if not, please inquire, whereupon I'll make up an answer address concerns accordingly. In re Still Accepts BTC Donations, that is a clickable link to the relevant NPO's donation page depicting the acceptance of bitcoins. In re other Links, they are relevant for some mundane, up to important significance (reasoning on my part). Aside commentaries should be self-explanatory, but please inquire if at sea. AXR = Average Exchange Rate [for date depicted]. L A: = Last Active: (when the expressed [linked-to] user last visited this forum) ✔ were put in place to deter omissions or duplicate entries during the tallying process. Dollar (cents) amounts under $0.50 USD don't include an AXR or user name, nym, moniker, etc., again, unless warranted. NOTE: I had to jungle things around in the first three posts due to the 64K posting constraints, thus the new home for the following table and list are below. Please make me aware if any links are broken or if clarifications are in order. Endowments Overview:#__Charities__Endowed___ | Total__BTC__Donated___ | #__Still__Accepting__BTC___ | #__No__Longer__Accepting__BTC | _ | | | | _ | | | | | 83 | 681.74286264 | 49 | 34 |
The Breakdown: Annotations/Notes: 3rdPPP = 3rd Party Payment Provider; Self = most likely a 3rdPPP was/is not used, NPOs opting instead to maintain their own bitcoin wallet addresses, some in conjunction with a 3rdPPP; Nice! = donated bitcoins not moved since endowed, with some bitcoin wallet addresses augmented since. Please consider donating to any of the following charities on the list if you're seeking an NPO that accepts bitcoin (some, other cryptos) donations. List of Charities Endowed List of Verified Unknown Donors Every effort was made in determining who were the donors including: rereading the official Bitcoin 100 thread up to, during and past the dated donations (and entirely); Googling the addresses; Googling the txIDs; more often than not searching directly on this forum the latter two; checking the bitcoin addresses that fed the donating addresses, sometimes more than three txs back (sometimes a couple txs forward) depending on the size of the donation; checking my PMs to see if clues existed there; etc. If a mistake has occurred on my end, simply supply proof that a particular donation did indeed stem from you and that you're desiring to be reimbursed accordingly. How the hell did you do that? Like magic, your post generated the page view count to (Read 100 times). Being a Cubs fan, I would've totally freaked out if the count were 108 (ref. http://www.harrycarays.com/2016/09/magic-number-108/), albeit 100 is our magic number, hence serendipitously was part of the equation to generate the multiplier (0.4378), and come Christmas 100% of Bitcoin 100's coffer will be 100% appropriately dispersed with hopefully Unsung and The Water Project receiving worthy endowments. Thank you, Ente, for your kind words. I duly hope that the "procedure" I conceived is über-fair across the board. Your bitcoin wallet address (again, sorry for such being public knowledge, thus plan accordingly if problematic), among others, has been added to the List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors table in the OP along with respective BTC earmarked for reimbursements (later linked as proof of remittance). Echoing, the List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors table will gravitate to the top of the OP once several more users remit their currently active bitcoin wallet addresses as I continue to pen PMs to those listed. Dude, I was about to PM you the same exact copy (plus a PS) I've sent to others on the list. Yes, as you can see in the OP I've already linked CBH to your profile due to being well aware that both bald headed fucks are one in the same. (tell the misses I said hello, BTW) I will admit that you were at the top of the list as one that may have an issue with the plan (don't ask me why; just did). Now I'm shocked to see that you've donated your awardment to me which I will thankfully decline acceptance, opting instead to give it to Rassah for his efforts throughout the years, perhaps used to buy his better half a worthy Christmas present. Thanks again, CBH.

Thank you, Bruno, for such an unbelievably monumental and important work! Having tried and failed to take just one small fund-raising project off the ground, and trying to convince just one charity, I know first-hand what a challenge this is. At the time, when you launched Bitcoin100, I was but a neophyte to the crypro-currency world, so, alas, that tiny amount was all that I could spare at the time.
You have truly written your name into the Bitcoin history, Bruno!

Obviously, you didn't read the OP kindly suggesting to curtail unnecessary drivel from my fanbase, instructing you dudes to start your own threads pertaining to such. Seriously, thank you kindly, Nemo1024, for your sentiment. As gleaned from your PM, I've added your BWA to the list. Thanks again, bud. Brueno, Rassah,
Thanks for all your work with Bitcoin100!
Check your PMs, we have something we want to give you guys.
Got your PM and won't tell a soul (especially edd) that you're sending this good dog - Bruno - some treats. I've added your address to the list. Glad to read that your wonderful boys (and family) are doing well. Thanks again, bud. As always, great work, Bruno. I plan on putting aside half of whatever I get to help in the event of any discrepancies. (Though it looks like you really took the math seriously!)
Here's my address: 16AWhSZ4T6Xsr2LwQBxGQ6V6xfkvbkgHTT
Thanks, edd, and your address has been added to the list as well. I doubt that there'll be any major discrepancies with most of any combined smaller ones covered by the last 15 BTC adjustment I've devised and outlined, specifically designed so to make sure all who've contributed are satisfied. To all others, more PMs are still being sent and the List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors in the OP has been updated.

This is a nice surprise... I was half worried someone would come to us and say hey.. you haven't given the whole 25 btc nice work jim I just checked, Jim, and your original pledge was 20 BTC, not 25 BTC as you've alluded to. That said, kindly remit to us 18 BTC, whereupon you'll receive a handsome reward of 0.8756 BTC (according to my Leroy Fodor math). Seriously, thank you kindly for your support and PM reply. Your address et al. has been added to the list in the OP. Bruno Thanks, edd, and your address has been added to the list as well. Oh, I'm sure you were very thorough and this does seem to be the best way to satisfy everyone involved. Two-plus-weeks of thoroughness in fact, in which unintentional minute errors may still have occurred, but, again, financially covered via late and/or non-arrivals making up the expressed 15% pool (reads like word spaghetti, but hopefully the gist was not lost).

Hey Phinnaeus Gage, Blast from the past! I haven't been here on the forum in forever, and I've abandoned /r/bitcoin as well, so now I'm like a Bitcoiner without a home... an orphan lost at sea. But that's okay, I get to see most of the good ones at conferences/events still. Hopefully you and I can perhaps meet some day. Thank you for putting together the Bitcoin 100, and for winding it down in such a professional manner. I haven't kept up to date with the Bitcoin 100 thread. I'm saddened to learn that funds are being sent back to contributors. As someone who has donated anonymously over the years, I know I'd rather see the funds donated to a charity or pro-Bitcoin entity and not sent back to users. I'd hate to think my donations never made it to a good cause and instead were sent to other members.

I'm perplexed, bud. The only time you've ever mentioned Bitcoin 100 (or Bitcoin100 for that matter) on this forum was above. To be fair, if you can provide proof of donations, we'll be more than happy to make things right. You shouldn't have any issues with anonymity given 1NastyFRkeUTmMdbMmzggDVTQA6r3ibUoX's history, but if you do, please PM me details to help in resolving this minor issue. Collectively, all the donors contributed to 83 good causes (minus any rogues making it pass the vetting process). That said, I look forward to your reply. Bruno

Bruno I don't make it a point to publicly announce all my charitable donations. I'm perplexed why anyone who donated to a charity would want a rebate (I certainly do not), or why you didn't choose another worthy cause. Sorry if that was off topic. There is nothing to "make right" with me. My last donations to the Bitcoin 100 were back in 2014, so I'd like to believe they found their way to a charity. I see the https://www.austinfoodbank.org/bitcoin I have more recently donated to is no longer in service either. There seems to be a lack of Bitcoin charitable donation options these days... Also, I don't control the NastyFans public address you posted above.

Also, I don't control the NastyFans public address you posted above. Since there were no other suggestions, I have donated the entirety of the BTC held in escrow to the Austin Food Bank. Thanks to those who tried to make this a success. It is possible something like this may be tried again in the future, but for now I'm bringing this to a close (I don't want to hold the escrow funds forever). https://www.austinfoodbank.org/bitcoin can now be found at https://www.centraltexasfoodbank.org/bitcoin using the same BWA 1ARxKuBArW8XzJQNGoRC5RZBVqhb4Tx5yx. Not only did they change their name, but expanded: Bastrop County food pantry to benefit from Austin food bank expansionAustin-based Capital Area Food Bank has taken on a name – Central Texas Food Bank — one that more accurately reflects the organization’s founding role: carrying nutritious food to the hungry in 21 Central Texas counties, including Bastrop.
The Central Texas Food Bank will operate out of an expanded, state-of-the-art facility in Southeast Austin and is expected to open June 20.
President and CEO Hank Perret said the shift would benefit all the organization’s partners, including the 13 pantries that serve populations in Bastrop, Elgin, Smithville and the rural areas in between.
“We are going to have a lot more food to distribute to people,” Perret said.
The new 135,000-square-foot facility has a production kitchen, 15 loading docks, seven times more fridge and freezer space and nearly three times as much dry storage space.
“Today we are not hitting all the people that are food insecure,” Perret said. “Now, we’re going to be able to do that.”

Yeah, just saw that myself, bud. Posted a quick update in the OP then went to the bathroom sans checking the revision. qxzn, you've been included on List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors in the OP since very shortly after you first PM'ed me. In re the anomaly, all I did was add a warning about bitcoin.org not being a safe site according to my assessment since it's no longer in our control thanks to that retard edd. EDIT: Weird! I can't include the following in the OP for some unknown reason even if I reword it, thinking at first that the BBCODE wrapped around WARNING! was the issue. WARNING! bitcoin100.org is no longer in our control, controlled by some other entity that may have incorporated malware (or the like) which may effect operating devices. My last (recent) visit seems to verify my assessment. Ironically, it was my discovery by happenstance that caused theymos to change some code on this forum - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1526858.0 - hence his solution --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1526858.msg15364958#msg15364958 now generating INVALID BBCODE on occasion. Unfortunately, when I brought the above to attention, it was uncovered that I am one of the original first ten Cypherpunks, and if you believe that, I suggest you mortgage your home so to purchase as much as possible of Chantha Owen Lueung and Leroy Fodor's RateCoin. EDIT: This is so weird! I can't even post the following [as written] in the OP at the top of the page: is no longer in our control, controlled by some other entity that may have incorporated malware (or the like) which may effect operating devices. My last (recent) visit seems to verify my assessment
For all intents and purposes, the following will have to suffice [added in the OP]: WARNING!: bitcoin100.org is no longer in our control. The current site may be unsafe. EDIT: Now I can't add the following after the above in OP without generating the BBCODE warning: See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16691275#msg16691275. <the URL in the above redirects to this post which you're reading>

I will get her an extra present and thank you very much! Update on daughter: last year (4th grade) the teacher asked all the kids in the class to research a topic of concern, create a presentation and present it to the class. Most of the kids presented typical 4th grade topics of concern (cruelty to animals, recycling, etc.). Her presentation was "Stop the Madness: Civil Asset Forfeiture". She gave her presentation to the class including details of my arrest, etc. Interestingly she said many of her classmates flat out did not believe her and accused her of making the whole thing up. This year the students in her class have all been tasked with presenting a civics lesson of some kind. I can't wait to see what she does.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security. Read all about it here: http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/ Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Thank you so kindly, LightRider, but akin to CornedBeefHash doing similar, your INSIST has been vetoed, opting to redonate the 10% to Rassah, with such course of action now included on the table in the OP. I tried to include the now-slightly-altered following in the OP, but I kept getting that pesky BBCODE error, so it's now at the top of the second post of this thread: Quick Edit: Any and all donations to me have been and will continue to be redonated to Rassah for his efforts which equals or surpasses my efforts during the course of Bitcoin 100. With that said, consider stating allocations directly to him on this thread or via PM if not planning on doing such directly, along with considering donating to the NPO's we've endowed which still accept bitcoin donations (the annotated list is on the OP above). Due to personal matters (nothing draconian), Rassiah has yet to commence the remittance process, coupled with him texting me the other day that he was having troubles accessing BitcoinTalk [like everybody else has]. Rest assured that funds will start flowing shortly. Bruno
To deter errors during the remittance process, the following [updated/current] abbreviated table has been PM'ed to Rassah, of which coincides with the full table found in the OP ( Rassah's address embedded once remitted if not sooner - now added [~3PM CST on 11/2]). Original donated BTC are Strikethrough so, again, to deter errors, kept in place for quick referencing purposes. NAME | NULL

Hi guys. First batch went out: https://blockchain.info/tx/901736b274a8f41b3914365cb6b5c9cba6f81bd97e8fbc9e9837221635ea65ccBruno, update who was sent to so we don't accidentally double-send. It was a pleasure to work with you, and to work on Bitcoin100. I apologize for letting it slide so badly after taking it over. Honestly, just tracking the funds and dealing with charities was a huge job, where every time I sat down to reconcile funds, answer new email requests, and help charities get set up, it was an 8+ hour span of work, and even one or two days of that was getting too much with my other full time jobs. I started dreading sitting down to do it, and unfortunately no one else offered to step up and take over. Being in charge of the money, I also worried about any issues of conflicts of interest, where I both choose whom to donate to, and have the money to donate. It would have been too easy for me to donate to a charity I pick which gives me a kickback in return. Not that I would consider doing such a thing, but I wanted this project to be as honest and transparent as possible, and this would muddy the waters in a way that couldn't be proven to be true or not. Anyway, thank you Bruno for setting up the project, I have been very happy to be involved, and this is a good way to wind it down. With regards to money going my way, although I kinda need money myself, I'll probably redirect it elsewhere anyway. Plenty of people who need it more than I do (plus I can always just spend a few extra nights driving for Uber/Lyft to make up any shortfalls)

Happy, happy, joy, joy UPDATE, all: The first wave of rebates have been remitted as seen here: https://blockchain.info/address/1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac. In a few minutes, I'm gonna double-check (yous, too, do the same) all the txs and link according as outlined in the OP. Afterward, I'm going to send out the first wave of follow-up PMs to all those who've yet to reply. That means you, too, again, The Joint, whom I took it upon myself to PM him twice to date for non-nefarious personal reasoning. Shortly, I'll also be taking care of a couple promised remittances outlined earlier in this thread. All that said, I wish to thank Rassah for taking the time to do his part. Please consider thanking him publicly and/or privately as well, all. He's a good guy in this space. I guess same so for edd, in spite of him letting bitcoin.org lapse. (seriously, edd's a very fine gent in spite of ... okay, I'll quit) Was ready to post the above when saw that Rassah posted, with one aspect I'll address (though already have): I will most definitely double- and tripe-check everything, with virtually all the info made public for all to peruse. Not quoted, but surprised to read that you're an Uber dude. Do you do such with the Prius Bitcoinmobile? You go and rest now, kitty, while I put in another couple hours in this winding-down process.

Wow. That is awesome. Thank you Phinnaeus Gage. As I stated, you didn't need to do anything to satisfy me but this does make me happy. As promised, I've remitted a $100 donation to CTFB, verified if you click their bitcoin page linked above. I've also sent BurtW 0.4378 BTC as promised to CornedBeefHash. Now onto double-checking txs and plugging in links, then sending out follow-up PMs. Seriously, this is cutting into my scam-busting time, with Hashing24 now on my radar thanks, again, due to Cointelegraph's ineptness, i.e. accepting their 0.4 BTC press release fee sans doing their promised due diligence in protecting the community, but I digress.

I just saw that a few minutes ago when I started updated the list linking BTC to txIDs. Please rest assured that you'll be paid as soon as Rassah comes back online, for I'll be sending him a PM shortly about this issue among any other anomalies to date of which I've yet to see sans him not yet paying himself. If you desire the moneys ASAP, please, please, please, PM me, whereupon I'll pay you, then get refunded. Just call me Mr. Fixit.

The accounting is fine and everything looks perfect so far sans you unfortunately being left out. I'm for certain that Rassah went by the previous table I PM'ed him, missing the last one I sent which included your vitals. We merely crossed paths - I sent after/during he was already in remitting mode (that's my assessment). I just finished linking BTC to txIDs in the table currently at the top of the third post of this thread till I put it back in the OP at the top of the fold. Moved due the 64K posting limitations. Next task, follow-up PMs. NOTE! - I won't be updating the below, with all updates to the table easily found in the OP. The below table was only included to depict the first round of remittances. (edited on 11/4/16, noonish CST).
The BTC in the last column have all been paid if linked:

I just heard this news today - what a bummer. There was over 109 BTC in the wallet until just recently. Obviously you've made your decision, but it's too bad it couldn't continue until the wallet ran dry. It was only this year that I started to pitch Bitcoin 100 to local non-profits, only to discover it was basically over. It's now going to be a lot harder to overcome objections to non-profits accepting bitcoin. "Why should we jump through all these hoops?" would get wiped away as an objection if a $1,000 donation was in the offering. Would have been cool if this could continue, but thank you for doing it for as long as you did and as successfully as you did.

Thank you for your sentiment, Ian, with apologies for Bitcoin 100 not running a fuller course that you've envisioned, but as you can see we no longer had the bitcoin100.org domain damain, thus no site, let alone not having an official charter (virtually a mute issue, but just the same), etc. Most everybody agrees that Bitcoin 100 was instrumental in one capacity or another in advancing Bitcoin proper via the NPO space where mostly needy charities were endowed. I'd say that BitPay's Tony Gallippi saw the potential using bitcoins in the NPO space thanks to more than in part (my assessment) of Bitcoin 100's success, thus his sister starting up BitGive, in turn they being instrumental in The Water Project accepting bitcoins which we endowed, and hopefully will again come Christmas along with Jason King's Unsung with projected remaining funds in our coffer, so that come December 26, 2016, we'll be bone dry.

First you forgot LightRider, now you forgot thomkaufmann's remittance. Don't think for a second, Kitten, that this community doesn't know exactly what you're up to - at the end of the day [come Christmas], you're gonna buy yourself a new coffee table with the funds from the last user that you'll conveniently forget to remit. Seriously, just an oversight, folks. The above txs have been included in the table found in the OP.

Received thank you all!
We want our moneys back because you omitted a comma along with other grammatical errors in your reply. All follow-up PMs have been sent, resulting in a couple more users responding, with one user I had call me to verify he was him given the amount of time his account laid dormant. Just a heads-up to any nefarious actors thinking that they may be able to game the system, with theymos expressing privately (on his own accord) that he's there if needed as well.

gnar1ta$ PM'ed me (and cc Rassah) expressing that he had donated another 5 BTC over and beyond the 3 BTC that I had documented on the table in the OP depicting the list of donors, offering up proof of said claim. I immediately found the error which was on my part. gnar1ta$' tx was https://blockchain.info/tx/b5286f65828657fbb672e8b7f5d55d5e2adb58c62ece8f3e2a0494d46230f571 with the timeframe virtually coinciding with a reply from organofcorti which I misinterpreted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52543.msg1403217#msg1403217I'll pledge another btc for the next 5. How many charities so far? I misconstrued such as an actual donation oppose to just a pledge, but credited organofcorti for the 5 BTC donation sans verifying the txID on Rassah's ledger during a subsequent once/twice-over prior to the creations of this thread. The following pic depicts crediting organofcorti for a 5 BTC donation: The following pic depicts the erroneous sum total of the 1 BTC which organofcorti truly did donated and the 5 BTC donated by gnar1ta$: The solution will be that gnar1ta$ will be immediately paid his awardment the next time Rassah sends out remittances, and I'll be sending organofcorti a PM with a link to this post along with expressing the error on my part, whereupon he'll remit back to Bitcoin 100's coffer the overpayment. Of special note, to date organofcorti had yet to spend any part of his awardment (which is neither here nor there), and I'll offer him a 5% retainage for doing the right thing, in essence returning 2.189 - 0.10945 (5%) = 2.07955 BTC. I'm pretty sure that I didn't need to the include the incentive, but opted to nonetheless. We'll see what happens. After I send said PM, I'll be sending Rassah another PM with a new list of user names who've remitted addresses. Bruno

I quadruple-checked everything, and I stand here before you all that I avow that I'm pretty sure about maybe all is quasi-perfect. <if not, I'll fix it later> TBC, as previously stipulated early in this thread (perhaps in the OP sans peaking), partyp is being reimbursed 1:1 due to the exchange rate when he made his [relatively small] singular donation, thus earning a few extra bucks which we easily have covered.

See how everything came out with the organofcorti episode after I threatened to lash him in bold from the reply PM he sent me (including the PM I sent him): Hey, organofcorti. With apologies, because of an error on my part, I've instructed Rassah to refund you an incorrect amount of bitcoins. Please read the following post outlining the chain of events which lead up to the unfortunate discovery: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16778527#msg16778527In the post you'll read that we're formally requesting a refund of 2.189 BTC, but I expressed that you keep 5% of that - 0.10945 BTC - for your honestly et al., thus remitting back 2.07955 BTC. To be clear, I'm boiling water now to prepare al dente noodles in case I need to administer 500 lashes in the unlikely event you don't comply. I duly look forward to your reply. Again, apologies for the error on my part for the erroneous overpayment. Regards, Bruno Sent you the full amount back, no need for an honesty reward. Cheers, ooc. Ooops, i just realised I unintentionally sent you back 0.001 less than I should have. Sorry bud! Here's the tx: https://blockchain.info/tx/cc0fac152c236fc9ee5a78323563a18d46d02f977d210098df014a68bda620b9Now, as long as nobody tells Rassah that we're 0.001 BTC short, I'll be in his good graces for hopefully till Christmas. Funnies aside, thank you so kindly organofcorti for doing what you did. Myself, I wasn't sweating it, but Rassah being a pussy (see his avatar ) may have gotten a tad queasy because of the unfortunate event, for which I apologize is such was the case. Like I've said on a many occasions, publicly and privately, Rassah's a good guy. Bruno PS: Most likely Rassah will get to the next refunds outlined in my last post(s) above tomorrow (Saturday) given that he probably was only waiting on a confirmation from me. No new names have been added because no further PMs/posts have been submitted since its penning.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO RASSAH: In case we cross paths in the next couple minutes, I'm now adding DiThi's name et al. to the table because he just confirmed that he is the true owner of his account on this forum. I'll cross this out and further amend this post once his name is added and I PM you. The time is 5:12 PM CST on 11/5/16. DONE!@Rassah (also will PM): I've added MaxSan to the bottom of the list of names you've yet to remit, for he just weighed in. DiThi also replied submitting his address but I'm holding off inclusion till he passes a simple test I devised due his user account laying dormant since 2014, an action I take on all long-time dormant user accounts to help deter nefarious actors gaming the system. Different tests/requests apply to different users, with theymos acting as a backup to look into things if need be, not yet bothering theymos in regard to DiTHi. EDIT: DiTHi has been confirmed, thus his name is now included below, Rassah. Rassah, please remit to the following users: NAME | NULL

Like I stated and quasi-confirmed, I happened upon the article by pure chance, not giving it a second thought if do 'partake', bud. I'd say the article was bigger than the turnout, with the author, you and DeRose making up 30% of the participants, with, perhaps, other media reps rounding out-cum-surpassing the majority of those present. So odd! Meanwhile, I'm about to link BTC to the txID on the table in the OP. Since my last login and your reply/remittance process, two more users have PM'ed me. I'll let them know that you'll get to them in a timely manner, bud, coupled with amending this post with their vitals. Looks like Ricochet's gonna have to past a test, along with perhaps k (complete user name), due to having 2013 and early 2016, respectively, last login dates. Just a couple hours ago or so I amended the top of the OP, outlining that a process is in place for users of accounts which sat dormant for a [long] spell. Thanks again, Rassah. Bruno

I'm holding off on having Rassah remit to Ricochet and k till theymos gets back to me after checking for anomalies. Ironically, in re both user accounts I'm unable to make an assessment on my own via formulating some sort of test(s). I have added their addresses et al. to the table in the OP but, again, holding off on remittance by Rassah. TBC, I've PM'ed theymos and the two parties (separately, no CC), quasi-feeling bad for making theymos work, but moreover for having the two users wait, but it is what it is due to past hacks of this forum, with apologies. IMPORTANT EDIT: This is the original post [below the horizontal line], albeit formatted incorrectly due to simply conducting a copy/paste. Reason: I was in edit mode so to glean the top of the table code to be incorporated in a new post, but opted to delete everything and construct my new post in the near-blank space instead, posting it once completed, falsely thinking that I was in quote mode. Boy, you should've seen the look on my face when I realized that this was my third fuckup for the year. It would've only take me a few minutes to reconstruct it where no one will be any the wiser, but I didn't want to, so there! <wanna hear a clue as to how fucked up I am? the time it took to pen the above including editing amounts to more than it would've taken to simply fix my fuck-up - PLEASE KEEP THIS TRUISM AMONG OURSELVES>
@ Rassah: Ricochet and k (both users) have passed muster, leaving only sethsethseth that I currently need to verify, hence the latter's not on the list below. I've already informed all the parties below that you'll get to their remittance by tomorrow, no later than two days from now. Hopefully seth... will be verified by then so that I can include him for the next outlay. EDIT: gsan has replied, thus I've added him to the list along with his BWA and the sum of 2 BTC he's more than happy to have remitted to him (paraphrased), further expressing his intent of donating some of the moneys to Bitcoin related projects, whereupon my reply included a link to the 5th post of this thread depicting NPOs we've endowed who currently still accept bitcoin donations. sethsethseth is still going through the verification process. (EDIT: I've stumbled upon seth's other Web presence and should have no prob getting him verified via one of them outlets) EDIT: meanig is currently going through a verification process, hence holding off on including his address below, albeit it is on the table in the OP. Approved! Thanks to theymos on this one. Only leaves sethsethseth, easy to approve as soon as he logs in again, unless ... EDIT: I've added the joint to the list. EDIT: fizzisist just replied and should have no problem confirming without any help from theymos at this penning. Approved! Thank you, Rassah. I know you've been busy and all, so the efforts you put in as we wind down Bitcoin 100 is that much more appreciated. An error occurred in the last remittance but was quickly resolved, thanking the party involved for returning the overpaid bitcoins. Apologies for not mentioning names, but the info can easily be gleaned via rudimentary blockchain forensics. A Neanderthal could do it (with apologies to any Neanderthals in the house). We've reached the threshold where subsequent payouts need to be adjusted affecting the remaining 25 donors listed on the remittance table in the OP. The new payout is 0.368 BTC returned per 1 BTC originally donated due to adjustments of the first outlays that were quasi-expected expressed in the OP. Not too drastic of a decrease, but for what it's worth, the dollar equivalent is currently higher than when this remittance processed was first introduced thanks to the increase in the exchange rate. I'm sure that none of the late comers who hopefully reply by Christmas Eve will have any qualms with their unexpected reward. Since sethsethseth replied prior to this change, he'll still be awarded 0.4378 BTC if he's able to verify his user account by Christmas. I'm surprised that he hasn't logged in lately so that I can continue the process already started, completing what I feel is a straightforward verification. Shortly, I'll be sending PMs to the remaining 25 users mentioned expressing the change. Barring unknowns, the revised ratio to said remaining original donors will be satisfied proportionally, leaving scant bitcoins in our coffer if all of them reply/comply. If not, the NPOs Unsung and The Water Project will be endowed with any remaining bitcoins come Christmas Day as outlined in the OP. The timestamp of this post acts as the start of the revision expressed above in case any of the remaining 25 donors reply between then and when they receive their next follow-up PM from me in re Bitcoin 100's rebate process. Thank you. Bruno

No problem whatsoever, bud. It doesn't affect the latest adjustment stipulated by me in the post above yours. Still waiting for 26 donors on the list to reply, including sethsethseth to continue the verification process. Much longer and me's'll start wondering if some nefo (just made that up; in lieu of nefa for nefarious) was tryin' to game the system via sethsethseth's user account. Time'll tell. Bruno

Actually, it was pretty easy - I took all the queues from past nefarious actors in this space and did the opposite. Voilà! How'd you like the part where I didn't have control/access to a single satoshi?

Heya Bruno, Rassah! Lovely talking to you guys again, and thanks so much for all the work over the years! I've always loved Bitcoin100, and I feel and felt like I can trust you guys completely, whether Bitcoin is at $7 or $700!
I kind of missed the first PM you sent (iirc tried to change my password, had to wait 45 seconds, got distracted), but was sufficiently roused by the second one d:
Okay, let me brush the dust off of my nearly 5 year old GPG key... Boom! There we go! That's me right there: bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=Mqrius
(I'm also happy to do more mundane forms of verification, such as skyping/sending ID/etc, if that would be deemed welcome! I could technically even sign with one of the donation addresses, but that would be a lot of hassle since I don't have those wallets active anywhere atm)
Anyways, here's my address for the remittance: 1AY4iGVFSAtFdmxvYtDTdKJwV7S3iVq9pw

I think that should suffice unless, that is, a nefarious actor has control of BTCurious' Reddit account as well, of which I serious doubt. Bruno EDIT: Verified!

@Rassah: No new payouts to report, but have added blobbie to the pending list to accompany sethsethseth. Please keep an eye on this post. Feel free to take Thanksgiving Day off. Hopefully (with respect to users who fail to reply), you'll be busy for a couple minutes on Christmas Day completing transactions to both Unsung and The Water Project (else just Unsung predicated on coinage remaining as stipulated in the OP). EDIT: Rassah, minorman logged it and replied (logged in prior not too long ago, thus was virtually instantly approved), and Jeremy West logged in and replied, but is currently being reviewed, albeit see no problem with him at this penning. Feel free to remit to the users depicting bitcoin wallet addresses below the corresponding BTC depicted in the last (right) column like you've been doing. AND, please try not to mess anything up now that we're so close to home (read: winding down [if you're not versed in baseball]). Along with apetersson, blobbie has now been verified with the help from theymos (he apologizing for being behind), leaving only sethsethseth to return to this forum and claim his reward (he's social media et al. heavy, whereupon he'll be easy to confirm if he returns - I'll try to blast him through one of his available channels). Seven more days till Christmas when Bitcoin 100 winds down. I'm now going to blast PMs to all those on the list in the OP who've yet to comply to hopefully garner more payouts. @Rassah: If at all humanly possible, please be available for a couple minutes on Christmas day so to remit BTC to Jason King's Unsung and The Water Project to their respective addresses which I'll post on [late] Christmas Eve. Reason: As a symbolic gesture à la a Christmas gift. Bruno EDIT: The 21 remaining Bitcoiners who've initinially contributed to Bitcoin 100 have been PM'ed, none of which have logged into this forum since the onset of this remuneration process.

EDIT: sethsethseth has been verified and jake262144 has logged in and PM'ed his address (seen in table on OP), currently going through a simple verification process with the help from theymos (I sent him a PM). Transaction sent https://blockchain.info/tx/09590118fd1089a6c8b526e10accc71b14dccd03f863c4043958fef800ce5865@Rassah: If at all humanly possible, please be available for a couple minutes on Christmas day so to remit BTC to Jason King's Unsung and The Water Project to their respective addresses which I'll post on [late] Christmas Eve. I know Jason really well and keep in touch often. He's a friend who lives nearby now, and we jointly own an airplane together. Also he owes me something like $12,000. So... The table in the OP has been updated reflecting the last payout. Jeremy West has successfully been verified thanks to him complying to a minor hoop I had him pass through on one of his social media sites leaving to date only sethsethseth who has replied but not yet verified. Re the latter, we'll give him till 1-1-17 to comply to the verification request else his due 0.4378 BTC will be equally divided between Unsung and The Water Project no earlier than on 1-2-17, we/I assuming that his user account may have been compromised now controlled by a nefarious actor, with apologies to sethsethseth is such is/was not the case if by happenstance he/she misses out on being part of Bitcoin 100's remuneration process, duly hoping that I/we are being fair in that regard. Tomorrow, the 24th, is the last day we'll accept PM or post replies from users who've kindly donated to Bitcoin 100 over the years. Again, apologies to any of those unfortunate enough to miss the remuneration process after a series of PMs were sent to all parties warranted a refund, depicted in the table on the OP of this thread. @Rassah: Feel free to remit to Jeremy at your earliest convenience, but no later than on Christmas Day as I've PM'ed him that such may be the case. EDIT: Pay sethsethseth also, he, too, just now verified at the 11th hour. jake262144 still needs to be verified, hence no address included below but can be seen in the table on the OP. NAME | NULL

EDIT: @Rassah: Jake is verified and Roger provided his address to both of us via PM, thus dole out the remaining bitcoins as depicted below as one tx or save Roger's payout for last so that he incurs the scant fees. I guess it really doesn't matter, eh? https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/uk/london (I visited the site to see exactly what time it was GMT, whereupon I noticed that it was less than a minute till Midnight, so I waited, than snapped a screenshot, in case anybody is wondering if I planned such beforehand, which was not the case, else I would state such) Bitcoin 100's remuneration process is officially close to any users who've once donated to the cause but failed to reply to any of the four PMs I've personally sent them. jake262144 is the only user needing to be verified, in which his chances look good thanks to theymos' efforts. VERIFIED!The following is the current standing of what I'm now officially instructing Rassah to remit the stated bitcoins to the corresponding addresses, crossing my fingers that he doesn't mess it up. NAME | NULL
|
BTC...ADDRESS | REMIT | _ | | | | _ | | | | Jeremy_West | 3.012.... | 1EZDRm8KB1GWTJAJ8uigb38etin35CGvzB | 1.108416 | jake262144 | 3.0 | 12AGFpvtQFHMUWT5bLmb6QcDhyUekrNwaH.... | 1.104 | sethsethseth | 1.0 | 1AZFqkxEwVd1zgZfagKsmbTqCumLeNRcrs | 0.4378 | Unsung | . | 3DdRfEq6twLWS4kXANTNRLC7DEqJXnuKCX | 3.5 | The_Water_Project.... | | 14xEPWuHC3ybPMfv8iTZZ29UCLTUSoJ8HL | 3.5 | Roger Ver | . | 1PpmSbUghyhgbzsDevqv1cxxx8cB2kZCdP | 2.37637213 | Checking the math:1.108416 + 0.4378 + 3.5 + 3.5 + 2.37637213 + 1.104 = 12.02658813 12.02658813 BTC = exactly what's currently in Bitcoin 100's coffer: https://blockchain.info/address/1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4acNo, I didn't forget about the tx fees in the above equation, thus having slightly less BTC available after West, seth, Unsung and TWP are satisfied. The cumulative scant fees will most likely be deducted from Roger's remittance unless Jake takes too long to be verified, else said fees will be deducted from his refund, in essence Jake would receive any remaining bitcoins, with, again, most likely it'll be Roger Ver garnering the balance (TBC, the last one paid incurs the scant fees deduction - it is what it is, with apologies). Now a nonissue. If, by happenstance, jake262144 fails to be verified, the less than (due to fees) 1.104 BTC will be equally divided between Unsung and The Water Project to the same corresponding addresses depicted above sometime after 1-1-2017. Verified! With that, my friends, is how one successfully winds down a cryptocurrency entity having funds on account needing to be [re]distributed. Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2017, all. Bruno Kucinskas PS: Even though I've already PM'ed Rassah, I'm now going to call him and at least leave him a message to give him a heads-up about this post. EDIT: The following is not presented as proof, but to show what Bitcoin Jesus thinks of me: (Yes, Virginia, there is a ... ) Hi Bruno,
Thank you so much for making Bitcoin 100 a reality as well as being one of the most interesting and memorable characters in the space.
Keep up the great work!
Roger Ver 1PpmSbUghyhgbzsDevqv1cxxx8cB2kZCdP
That cements the notion that I, Bruno Kucinskas, am The Most Interesting Bitcoiner in the World. EDIT: Looks like Rassah is cutting my symbolic-gestured Christmas present to Unsung and The Water Project mighty thin if going by GMT. I still have faith that such will be accomplished prior to Christmas ending in his EST, else I'll have Jason King kick his furry ass.

No, I didn't forget about them pesky tx fees, even mentioning paying Roger last. But it's all good, bud. I've updated the table in the OP linking the BTC payouts to the txID. Thank you again, Rassah, for handling the financials of Bitcoin 100. Merry Christmas and a crypto-prosperous 2017. Bruno Kucinskas PS: Leave it Rassah to leave $0.027 worth of bitcoins in Bitcoin 100's coffer. Hey, maybe one day the scant coinage will be worth thousands.

The below table depicts the links to the txIDs that Bitcoin 100 doled out to Roger Ver and the two endowed NPOs, Jason King's Unsung and The Water Project. Below is a screenshot of Bitcoin 100's now depleted coffer, bringing an end to the era of the first, and perhaps most successful cryptocurrency charity/NPO to date, endowing a total of 84 mostly venerable charities priorly not accepting bitcoins et al. as a donation option till such an option was introduced to them. The exact number of NPOs which Bitcoin 100 endowed was 83, adding Jason King's Unsung at the very end, along with endowing The Water Project a second time thanks to their continuing noble efforts of supplying clean water to those in need in hard-pressed Third World countries: https://thewaterproject.org/how-we-workThe Water Project invests in local solutions to the local water crisis in sub-Saharan Africa.
Providing access to clean, safe water helps capable and determined people realize the hope they have for their own futures.
The Water Project works closely with local in-country teams and partners to develop clean water programs alongside these heroes. We carefully select implementing partners who have long term relationships and commitments to the people they serve.
We're passionate about unlocking potential. After all, water doesn't change anything; the people we serve do Personally, I favor the depicted $ amount received.

Does it have anything to do with that kind anonymous donation that made the media rounds? Or just the private key to Bitcoin 100's wallet [address], thus giving some broke-ass sig campaigner the opportunity to steal the remaining $.03 in its coffer?

I wonder if I should reveal a long held secret about Bitcoin100... and publish the private key of the address?
It would be interesting to see what happens with such a well known address. I'm a fuckin' idiot! The secret that Rassah was alluding to IS the private key to the Bitcoin 100 wallet. I first read it as something nefarious pertaining to some other address, albeit guessed at the reply's true intent. No wonder Rassah and edd kicked me out of the Bitcoin 100 as venerated nefarious actors have claimed - because my critical thinking has critical issues in conjunction with supposedly being a thief and a racist. That outta the way, if there's no objections, I'd love to lock this thread, deleting but saving all the last comments pass Post #99, whereupon they'll be archived as one post with, or then a last Post #100 - in the spirit of Bitcoin 100 - to say the final thanks you and goodbye. But feel free to post till then, for I'm well-versed on how to fix shit or simply let them be, in spite of BurtW thinking that he had to school me a solution. Bruno Kucinskas

Sure, why not, but if that $0.03 would turned into over a million dollars down the road, I'll be huntin' your ass in the furry-afterlife (or is that furry ass in the afterlife?). A million dollars could purchase a fleet of small aircrafts or supply clean water to a magnitude of people.

What if someone finds out about it and sends some money without fully researching it and finding out that is has been closed and that the private key has been published? Just my humble opinion. We can predict what will happen. If you publish it then it will end up in a lot of sweep scripts and if any funds ever get sent to it then they will be swept to another address by whoever gets lucky and has the fastest sweeper.

If the private key gets published, a lot of people will know about it, and not too many people will have not researched enough, not to send a small amount. People will be sending small satoshi amounts to see what happens, but the balance will likely remain zero and everyone will see that.

Once again this is why we can't do fun things - somebody comes along and presents logic as to why the fun haz to be nipped in the bud. Reads like it's a no-go, Rassah, thanks to Burt's astute input.
