I didn't think I would ever have a reason to log back in here.  Thank you for all the effort put in Bruno and Rassah, and for closing it out properly.  I'll PM an address.

gnar1ta$ PM'ed me (and cc Rassah) expressing that he had donated another 5 BTC over and beyond the 3 BTC that I had documented on the table in the OP depicting the list of donors, offering up proof of said claim. I immediately found the error which was on my part. gnar1ta$' tx was https://blockchain.info/tx/b5286f65828657fbb672e8b7f5d55d5e2adb58c62ece8f3e2a0494d46230f571 with the timeframe virtually coinciding with a reply from organofcorti which I misinterpreted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52543.msg1403217#msg1403217

Quote
I'll pledge another btc for the next 5. How many charities so far?

I misconstrued such as an actual donation oppose to just a pledge, but credited organofcorti for the 5 BTC donation sans verifying the txID on Rassah's ledger during a subsequent once/twice-over prior to the creations of this thread.

The following pic depicts crediting organofcorti for a 5 BTC donation:

The following pic depicts the erroneous sum total of the 1 BTC which organofcorti truly did donated and the 5 BTC donated by gnar1ta$:

The solution will be that gnar1ta$ will be immediately paid his awardment the next time Rassah sends out remittances, and I'll be sending organofcorti a PM with a link to this post along with expressing the error on my part, whereupon he'll remit back to Bitcoin 100's coffer the overpayment. Of special note, to date organofcorti had yet to spend any part of his awardment (which is neither here nor there), and I'll offer him a 5% retainage for doing the right thing, in essence returning 2.189 - 0.10945 (5%) = 2.07955 BTC. I'm pretty sure that I didn't need to the include the incentive, but opted to nonetheless.

We'll see what happens.

After I send said PM, I'll be sending Rassah another PM with a new list of user names who've remitted addresses.

Bruno

Yes, Kitten, I confirm. I quadruple-checked everything, and I stand here before you all that I avow that I'm pretty sure about maybe all is quasi-perfect.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes <if not, I'll fix it later>  Cool

TBC, as previously stipulated early in this thread (perhaps in the OP sans peaking), partyp is being reimbursed 1:1 due to the exchange rate when he made his [relatively small] singular donation, thus earning a few extra bucks which we easily have covered.

See how everything came out with the organofcorti episode after I threatened to lash him in bold from the reply PM he sent me (including the PM I sent him):

Hey, organofcorti. With apologies, because of an error on my part, I've instructed Rassah to refund you an incorrect amount of bitcoins. Please read the following post outlining the chain of events which lead up to the unfortunate discovery: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16778527#msg16778527

In the post you'll read that we're formally requesting a refund of 2.189 BTC, but I expressed that you keep 5% of that - 0.10945 BTC - for your honestly et al., thus remitting back 2.07955 BTC.

To be clear, I'm boiling water now to prepare al dente noodles in case I need to administer 500 lashes in the unlikely event you don't comply.  Grin Grin Grin I duly look forward to your reply. Again, apologies for the error on my part for the erroneous overpayment.

Regards,

Bruno

Sent you the full amount back, no need for an honesty reward.

Cheers,

ooc.

Ooops, i just realised I unintentionally sent you back 0.001 less than I should have. Sorry bud!

Here's the tx: https://blockchain.info/tx/cc0fac152c236fc9ee5a78323563a18d46d02f977d210098df014a68bda620b9

Now, as long as nobody tells Rassah that we're 0.001 BTC short, I'll be in his good graces for hopefully till Christmas.

Funnies aside, thank you so kindly organofcorti for doing what you did. Myself, I wasn't sweating it, but Rassah being a pussy (see his avatar  Tongue) may have gotten a tad queasy because of the unfortunate event, for which I apologize is such was the case. Like I've said on a many occasions, publicly and privately, Rassah's a good guy.

Bruno

PS: Most likely Rassah will get to the next refunds outlined in my last post(s) above tomorrow (Saturday) given that he probably was only waiting on a confirmation from me. No new names have been added because no further PMs/posts have been submitted since its penning.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO RASSAH: In case we cross paths in the next couple minutes, I'm now adding DiThi's name et al. to the table because he just confirmed that he is the true owner of his account on this forum. I'll cross this out and further amend this post once his name is added and I PM you. The time is 5:12 PM CST on 11/5/16. DONE!

@Rassah (also will PM): I've added MaxSan to the bottom of the list of names you've yet to remit, for he just weighed in. DiThi also replied submitting his address but I'm holding off inclusion till he passes a simple test I devised due his user account laying dormant since 2014, an action I take on all long-time dormant user accounts to help deter nefarious actors gaming the system. Different tests/requests apply to different users, with theymos acting as a backup to look into things if need be, not yet bothering theymos in regard to DiTHi.

EDIT: DiTHi has been confirmed, thus his name is now included below, Rassah.

Rassah, please remit to the following users:

Non-important edit not worth its own post: Was just catching up on Bitcoin related news on 11/5/16, and by happenstance I stumbled upon this, with image here. Like I stated and quasi-confirmed, I happened upon the article by pure chance, not giving it a second thought if do 'partake', bud. I'd say the article was bigger than the turnout, with the author, you and DeRose making up 30% of the participants, with, perhaps, other media reps rounding out-cum-surpassing the majority of those present. So odd!

Meanwhile, I'm about to link BTC to the txID on the table in the OP. Since my last login and your reply/remittance process, two more users have PM'ed me. I'll let them know that you'll get to them in a timely manner, bud, coupled with amending this post with their vitals. Looks like Ricochet's gonna have to past a test, along with perhaps k (complete user name), due to having 2013 and early 2016, respectively, last login dates.

Just a couple hours ago or so I amended the top of the OP, outlining that a process is in place for users of accounts which sat dormant for a [long] spell.

Thanks again, Rassah.

I'm holding off on having Rassah remit to Ricochet and k till theymos gets back to me after checking for anomalies. Ironically, in re both user accounts I'm unable to make an assessment on my own via formulating some sort of test(s). I have added their addresses et al. to the table in the OP but, again, holding off on remittance by Rassah.

TBC, I've PM'ed theymos and the two parties (separately, no CC), quasi-feeling bad for making theymos work, but moreover for having the two users wait, but it is what it is due to past hacks of this forum, with apologies.

IMPORTANT EDIT: This is the original post [below the horizontal line], albeit formatted incorrectly due to simply conducting a copy/paste. Reason: I was in edit mode so to glean the top of the table code to be incorporated in a new post, but opted to delete everything and construct my new post in the near-blank space instead, posting it once completed, falsely thinking that I was in quote mode. Boy, you should've seen the look on my face when I realized that this was my third fuckup for the year.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes It would've only take me a few minutes to reconstruct it where no one will be any the wiser, but I didn't want to, so there!  Tongue <wanna hear a clue as to how fucked up I am? the time it took to pen the above including editing amounts to more than it would've taken to simply fix my fuck-up - PLEASE KEEP THIS TRUISM AMONG OURSELVES>

@ Rassah: Ricochet and k (both users) have passed muster, leaving only sethsethseth that I currently need to verify, hence the latter's not on the list below. I've already informed all the parties below that you'll get to their remittance by tomorrow, no later than two days from now. Hopefully seth... will be verified by then so that I can include him for the next outlay.

EDIT: gsan has replied, thus I've added him to the list along with his BWA and the sum of 2 BTC he's more than happy to have remitted to him (paraphrased), further expressing his intent of donating some of the moneys to Bitcoin related projects, whereupon my reply included a link to the 5th post of this thread depicting NPOs we've endowed who currently still accept bitcoin donations. sethsethseth is still going through the verification process. (EDIT: I've stumbled upon seth's other Web presence and should have no prob getting him verified via one of them outlets)

EDIT: meanig is currently going through a verification process, hence holding off on including his address below, albeit it is on the table in the OP. Approved! Thanks to theymos on this one. Only leaves sethsethseth, easy to approve as soon as he logs in again, unless ...

EDIT: I've added the joint to the list.

EDIT: fizzisist just replied and should have no problem confirming without any help from theymos at this penning. Approved! Here's the proof I indirectly requested: http://fpgamining.com/bruno.html

Thank you, Rassah. I know you've been busy and all, so the efforts you put in as we wind down Bitcoin 100 is that much more appreciated.

An error occurred in the last remittance but was quickly resolved, thanking the party involved for returning the overpaid bitcoins. Apologies for not mentioning names, but the info can easily be gleaned via rudimentary blockchain forensics. A Neanderthal could do it (with apologies to any Neanderthals in the house).

We've reached the threshold where subsequent payouts need to be adjusted affecting the remaining 25 donors listed on the remittance table in the OP. The new payout is 0.368 BTC returned per 1 BTC originally donated due to adjustments of the first outlays that were quasi-expected expressed in the OP. Not too drastic of a decrease, but for what it's worth, the dollar equivalent is currently higher than when this remittance processed was first introduced thanks to the increase in the exchange rate. I'm sure that none of the late comers who hopefully reply by Christmas Eve will have any qualms with their unexpected reward.

Since sethsethseth replied prior to this change, he'll still be awarded 0.4378 BTC if he's able to verify his user account by Christmas. I'm surprised that he hasn't logged in lately so that I can continue the process already started, completing what I feel is a straightforward verification.

Shortly, I'll be sending PMs to the remaining 25 users mentioned expressing the change. Barring unknowns, the revised ratio to said remaining original donors will be satisfied proportionally, leaving scant bitcoins in our coffer if all of them reply/comply. If not, the NPOs Unsung and The Water Project will be endowed with any remaining bitcoins come Christmas Day as outlined in the OP.

The timestamp of this post acts as the start of the revision expressed above in case any of the remaining 25 donors reply between then and when they receive their next follow-up PM from me in re Bitcoin 100's rebate process.

Thank you.

No problem whatsoever, bud. It doesn't affect the latest adjustment stipulated by me in the post above yours. Still waiting for 26 donors on the list to reply, including sethsethseth to continue the verification process. Much longer and me's'll start wondering if some nefo (just made that up; in lieu of nefa for nefarious) was tryin' to game the system via sethsethseth's user account. Time'll tell.

Impressive! Awesome job nicely done Phinnaeus Gage.

Actually, it was pretty easy - I took all the queues from past nefarious actors in this space and did the opposite. Voilà! How'd you like the part where I didn't have control/access to a single satoshi?

Heya Bruno, Rassah!
Lovely talking to you guys again, and thanks so much for all the work over the years! I've always loved Bitcoin100, and I feel and felt like I can trust you guys completely, whether Bitcoin is at $7 or $700!

I kind of missed the first PM you sent (iirc tried to change my password, had to wait 45 seconds, got distracted), but was sufficiently roused by the second one d:

Okay, let me brush the dust off of my nearly 5 year old GPG key... Boom! There we go! That's me right there: bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=Mqrius

(I'm also happy to do more mundane forms of verification, such as skyping/sending ID/etc, if that would be deemed welcome! I could technically even sign with one of the donation addresses, but that would be a lot of hassle since I don't have those wallets active anywhere atm)

Anyways, here's my address for the remittance:
1AY4iGVFSAtFdmxvYtDTdKJwV7S3iVq9pw

Cheers! <3

BTCurious should have no problem getting confirmed since he has an active Reddit account, instructing him via PM to edit a recent post, PM'ing me its link once completed so I can see the timestamped edit. I think that should suffice unless, that is, a nefarious actor has control of BTCurious' Reddit account as well, of which I serious doubt.

Bruno

@Rassah: BTCurious is verified. I had him edit a post on his active Reddit account, then he provided me a link, whereupon I took a screenshot and saved it to my personal files in case of whatever.
