People are talking about getting 28 to 40 on rx480 but all I am getting with both this miner and nicehash's miner is 17-18 max. What am I doing wrong ?

just think yourself as lucky, there are still a lot of people haven't figured out how to mine with their gpus, and by current price its still worth it mining at these early days

How many confirms have occurred since the first block you were part of was found? I think it takes 101 confirms of a block before anything goes into your balance.
