Any ideas on what causes the big jumps and dips in the price of Bipcoin?

I have a few trades set up to buy low and sell high, but I would not want my trades to adversely effect the price of Bips since this is mostly for fun

Any ideas on what causes the big jumps and dips in the price of Bipcoin?

the free market in a small market. Not unusual. Basically large cnanges are likely caused by buying and selling.

Percentage of fluctuation is large, but amount of fluctuation is not large. BipCoin price ranges from .3 cent to 1.5 cent. Bitcoin changes more than that from minute to minute.

Don't avoid making trades to "protect" the price. Do what you want. This is commerce, not some pump & dump. We want BipCoin running for a long time, and that means it weathering actual markets.

We did a blog post, by the way, read the last part on buy orders. Mainly for anyone else, seems like you got it worked out.

whether it could use a win7 bit 32 to execute the wallet?

we now have GUI wallets for Windows and Linux that will work on both 64-bit and 32-bit:

great news: i found a whole core i3 system i forgot i had in storage! even had a gtx 650 ti still in it. also had a free slot i can stick a spare 750 ti into!

there's maybe a 15-20% chance the rig died though so i won't know until i can set it up this evening ☺

beep beep.

We decided, If we get another cat, we're naming him "Beep."

all our cats are B names. One is BipCat, the cat BipCoin is named after.

welp, there's good news and bad news. the bad news is the motherboard and/or cpu is dead. when powered on, the fans spin and the mainboard led lights for about 0.5 second then powers off. i tried 2 different PSUs, tried each stick of ram by itself, removed the motherboard from the case and sat on plastic case and had only cpu/ram with psu connected in case anything in the tower was shorting it. same thing each time, 0.5 second on the power off over and over.

but the good news is i also found a gigabyte Z68 socket 1155 motherboard in storage, so I bought a cheap i5 cpu for it on ebay and it should be good to go by late next week (hopefully)! i'm going to try running ubnutu server os from the msata slot on board with a 32gb ssd Cheesy

The democats block explorer does not seem to be working

The other one at the pool works but while the pool reports a total network hashrate of about 2 KH, the Block explorer page reports 1 KH

Which one, if any is accurate?

They can be out of synch with each other while hashrate is rising or falling fast on an exchange or the network. Sometimes the two pools will report differently for a little while. Sometimes even a pool total hash will show more than total network (!). this is the nature of pools, especially CryptoNote.

If anyone wants to "vote" to help get BipCoin C-Cex,
 https://c-cex.com/?id=vote

The address to send it to is on there, it's
19EPY2jKo4psT3dtDwrkTv17KqLYD3WXwJ

It would be a good exchange for us since some commerce sites use it in .

Thanks!

C-Cex doesn't add cryptonotes.

C-Cex doesn't add cryptonotes.

wow. They don't.

I'll ask them to remove us from listing. Either that's scammy to list us for "voting", or they just didn't notice.

Do you know of hand a list of the exchanges that do take CryptoNotes? or if not that, any in particular that do not?

I know Cryptopia does, we're on there.

Thank you for your service!

Thank you so much!

You'll always be our first, and I will always appreciate you doing that.

Have you read the whitepaper of what we have planned? If you do you may see why one day you may have "We had BipCoin first!" at the top of your site.

Half kidding, half not. Read the first couple pages, see if it grabs you:
https://bipcoin.org/ASSETS/WP/Dot-Bip_whitepaper.pdf

I do know our price tripled and network hashrate doubled since it came out a few days ago.

Ah - I just checked and I forgot, I am using Wolf miner for BIPcoin and Claymore for XMR. I couldn't get Claymore to work either. sorry! Wolf miner works great though.

Hey dudes.  I heard about this coin on the Crypto Show, and decided to try mining for the first time.

Just wondering if anyone knows how often the bip.cryptonotepool.com pool pays out?  I haven't received a payment in the 12+ hours I've been mining.  Also haven't received my withdrawal from Cryptopia after about 12 hours..  just hoping there's not something wrong with my address.
