I think that it isn't the best investment just holding your bitcoin because there may be something else that is way better and that suits your investment style more. You might not get the most out of bagholding bitcoins, to put it simply.

Holding is better than investing on suspicious site, it sometime will run away your coin.
Holding is need safe wallet too, it's very necessary and keep your device clean from any suspicious site/software which contain malware.
I do hold my btc right now, it's clearly defined investment.

I dont think the best investment is holding my bitcoin, i think it would be buying bitcoins, and the strategy would be holding it for a very long time or do daytrades to multiply the holdings while waiting for the set price of selling. Because in my opinion holding bitcoins is not an investment but rather a strategy after buying bitcoin as an investment.

I would like to say hello first off, I am new to these forums as a member, but I do often enjoy browsing on my lunch break.
I see a lot of people like to invest in other coins in particular IPO/ICO. But with the volatility of Bitcoin is this not the best investment choice in itself? Keeping your Bitcoins which have a higher value and can fluctuate more? Especially with the recent halving, I can only see the value going up.
Do you see any need to invest elsewhere or is it greedy? What are your thoughts on this?
Holding bitcoin is not the best investment but holding bitcoin is the safest investment out there. It will stay away you from programme that has big risks, ponzis and to make you stay away from scammers. |

Not Really You can't make money all the time from trading some times you make money some times you lose money.Investing in bitcoin i think you won't find anything better than this. Bitcoin will hit $1k before the end of this word.Market is very strong that's why possibility of dump is very low.But don't invest if you can't afford to lose your money. |

It is right, that many peoples are doing investment, But also you should see many peoples are afraid of scammers, because we all know that investment is best way in bitcoin, but the risky way is that you can't trust on anyone. So i have a one solution, that just hold your bitcoins, and when you see now bitcoin is going high, and if you sell it than it surely give you profit, than should sell them, like now bitcoin has a good price. If i sell my bitcoins than definitely they give me good profit.

That is not holding bitcoins , that is trading bitcoins. And holding is not an investment it is a strategy on how you will earn a profit in an investment. Actually a part of a trading strategy. Holding bitcoins until it meets my selling price and buy bitcoin if it meets my buying price. That is trading and holding is a part of it. in·vest·ment

I can agree about this, I think that holding is a good thing and that we can do it on a easy method that is safe and also good to do due to the fact it has a great future.

you're right, I also prefer trading from the store bitcoin. but I think it's also true, that hold bitcoin in a long time is the best way of investing, especially at this time. even so, it would be very difficult, because if you hold bitcoin in significant amounts, you'll want to immediately redeem it |

We don't know how bitcoin will scale in the future. Financial and cryptocurrency experts generally agree that bitcoin has the biggest potential to be much more expensive.
It happened before Bitcoin price skyrocketed from $125 USD to over $1000 USD within a few months.
But...
- Bitcoin is still experimental payment system and "first edition" of cryptocurrency, a one of kind phenomena.
- Bitcoin is widely susceptible to mob mentality. That is why we see dramatic price shifts after negative news like exchange hack, bitcoin legislation etc.
- Bitcoin is hated by current economic establishment: Wall Street, Banks, Governments...
If you want to become rich then holding bitcoin may be a good idea (it certainly is stupid not to buy at least 1 BTC), but you have zero guarantee that price will skyrocket again and where it will happen.

If you see that the IPO/ICO have solid devs and will be profitable in the future, it is okay to invest in it. It is not greediness to seek and invest on different platforms. I think it is a must to invest on different coins not only on bitcoin. As long as you know that the coins you are investing have good foundation and you can invest on it for long term just like you would do with bitcoin. |

There is a chance that investing and holding with the bitcoin is good and I think it is but we cannot predict this also because the future of the bitcoin is unpredictable, no one knows what will happen with the bitcoin so it can be good but also bad.

in my opinion,holding bitcoin isn't the best investments, but it is a safer investment than other investment. because the best investments can make a bigger profit and not have to wait for a long time. but certainly all of that there is a great risk. like when we invest in ICO or altcoin. but the gains will be bigger than just hold your bitcoin.

There are more concerns that I mentioned than just fees, which is the least of those concerns.
I prefer to hold most of my bitcoins and use just a fraction of them to trade altcoins with leverage. It is far easier than trading BTC/USD and it is less risky and I even make better trades with the smaller amounts. After I make my altcoin profit, I divy up the profit between bitcoin re-investments and cash withdrawals (mostly cash these days).

ofcourse , holding the bitcoin is also a best way to investment but i think when you starts to hold bitcoin for long time then you need to buy bitcoin at the price when it is at very low rate or profit then this will result into free of tensi of downed price . |

Bitcoin looks very stable and in very good position so instead of taking any further action better just keep holding.

Volatility can go both ways, of course, and yeah bitcoin is volatile as hell. Altcoins on the other hand will murder you in your sleep. You wake up from that catnap and your pet shitcoin has dropped all the way to 1 sat. I've seen it happen. I wouldn't invest in anything other than bitcoin at the moment. The other coins are too shitty and too risky. I did not understand the bolded part above, and I'm not sure what you want to do in a volatile market. Some people are shorting bitcoin right now, thinking it's risen too high too fast. I would not rule that out completely. I don't have much trust if any in altcoins either. They tend to go south overnight, never had any luch with any one of them |
