Which is the safest country in the world, regarding natural disasters?

I mean a place where there is no risk of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, eruptions, tsunami or other natural disasters.
Do you know any official stats? What is the situation in your country?

dunno about countries, but check out a louis theroux documentary about survivalists. there was a guy on there who set out to build a community in the safest area of America. he went through all the same stuff you did and settled on rural Idaho. I think the biggest danger there is dying of boredom.

For example, Japan ranks high in that article, but, as we all know, is a dangerous place for frequent earthquakes and tsunami.

I'd like to test the safety of Barbabos myself

It's my first time to hear about Barbados haha.

But I've lived in Saudi Arabia for several years, and yeah I can say that's true it doesn't really experience any life threatening natural disasters.

safest country by what ? crime ? or weather related ? I think japan and iceland is the safest by far depending on crime rate . I don't like people saying qatar or any middle east country is the safest as I had seen a news were a man has been raped and thrown in a desert the sad part is hes still alive and now had a psychological problem

I've recently read that the japanese population is one of the most depressed of the world. They have the highest number of young people committing suicide because of the unbearable pace of life

I think no one country is safe as my opinion only because all country have experience different kinds of disaster like tsunami , earthquake and landslide many more. Its a natural disaster no one can stop what happen today and tomorrow. So always be careful .

There's no such place. We've all probably looked for this type of country but none of them are going to offer us enough protection in case of a natural disaster. Many countries done a lot of tests 'proving their safety' but most of them proved they couldn't offer any when a natural disaster took place. There are also people wondering which country would be safe in case of a nuclear war. No country can be safe in case of a war either.
