290x = 23ish - 29ish @ 1000/1125mem -75coremV modded roms
Nano = 14ish - 21ish @ 900/300mem modded rom
7990 = 11ish - 17ish @ 1050/1500 on each core

Everything is WAY cooler than running ETH.
Currently V0.5 is more stable then 0.6 except with the Nano's.

Tahiti are the KING of mining GPUs as usual.

0.6 is a bit more stable than 0.5 for me, but less so than 0.4.2. Having a lot of machines crash out on writing the Tahiti bin file - some of them do this over and over and then suddenly start mining for a while, others never start mining.

The 7 card Tahiti/Pitcairn/Hawaii rig continues to be a problem on anything but 0.4.2 - 0.5 and 0.6 both run to GPU driver failure and the machine must be rebooted at that point. 0.4.2 ran on that machine all day and night yesterday with only a 1000 second reset timer. Not getting max hashrates out of any one card on this machine. Currently trying 0.6 on it with the Hawaii cards on one instance and the rest on another instance. We'll see how this goes...

What Sols/s rate are you getting with 290(x)?  (Clocks 1030/1250)

I'm getting just about 25 Sols/s and 7950 and 280 gives about the same. (Clocks 900/1500)

By the way Miner is getting better on every release, thanks

my R9 280 at default get 29 to 37  not the X version and seem to the holdiong at 30 with this version of the miner even my r7 370 seem to run better .

You can't get 30 with a Radeon 280. Not even with a 280x.

set at defaults including the software  miner. I may flash it to see what that does i was very impressed when support for older amd cards came how well this works, it went from using nicehash software hitting at best  10 sol to what you see when 0.42 came out or what ever version gave tahiti cards support .

Now i got 30 from my 280 too, 16.10.3 Hotfix did the trick, no change in 7950. Thanks for help

and for everyone else-> You dont have to install the driver, just copy these files to same drawer.

download 16.10.3 from amd and you will find all files in
AMD\Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.10.3-Oct27\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B308236

but this still doesn't work for me, so I stay with 20ish for all my cards for now

Reason I don't want to install AMD 16.xxx is because 6 GPUs might not work in Windows 7.

However I read somewhere that 16.7.2 (pre-RX 470) drivers might work.

Copy the entire directory of AMD\Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.10.3-Oct27\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B308236

Into the Genoil directory, will be like 100 files over 250MB long.


I used the Windows 7 AMD 16.10.3 NOT the Windows 10 like shown above.

um u should have over 30+ on 290x run mem at 1500 also your 7990 is running slower than your 280x a 7990 should be 2x that 280x

um u should have over 30+ on 290x run mem at 1500 also your 7990 is running slower than your 280x a 7990 should be 2x that 280x

1500 mem? You sure it can overclock that high when the stock speed is 1250?

But the truth is it does not help as the miner sometimes get the error in the first 1min or sometimes longer.

We will just have to wait for genoil to get his miner stable.

Thanks! I modified this to work a little better for 0.6. Now my hashrate on the pool is constantly exactly where it should be!

Yeah huge disappointment. Only good thing about those cards is that they use half the power of other GPUs but speed wise they aren't that great.

With the new version my gpu's are going to 0 more often and the restart function doesn't work. The colors and details are great but for now i went back to 5 cuz it was running more stable.

Try using https://www2.coinmine.pl, i was on flypool, my miners were crashing every 3 min, now in coinmine it is really stable

Thanks for suggesting this pool , i got tried of to many disconnects on FLy pool i like that pool but binng discounted to much and  i couldn't use my CPU's with my GPU there i can on  coinmine my r7 370 went from 22 sometimes or lower on fly to 35 steady on coinmine because i can use my cpu at 4 cores and they have version nheqminer  3a which doesn't effect Genoil's 6 at all like nheqminer  2 a does in other word my GPU is not tanked out by using both to gather like it was on fly pool ,  i do hope they fix fly pool if not it looks like coinmine is my new ZEC mining pool, I'll hit 200 Sol or higher  being able to use my CPUs and because of all the crashes and disconnects it  was causing I had to reformat my three card rig, error got worse and worse . I just ordered a better cpu cooler for the rig with my r9 280 in it, the cooler it has now sucks a lot if I stress my PC it shuts off it is a very cheap low grade cooler I used to get it running ,I had no intention of using the CPU to mine with .
