Any idea what's changed in 0.6? No update on https://github.com/Genoil/ZECMinerAlso any idea what a good rate is for my 480? I'm seeing about 31 S/s steady on 0.5 and now 0.6.

Keeping up with everything really requires wading through so many posts.. perhaps because people think if they make it too easy then too many people will be cutting in to their profits.

honestly, i feel the 470 and 480 can run better and get even higher speeds but it's to unstable.
I guess, on the profits comment, i have yet to see how mining cuts in on any one profits in the end they still get it, but that might be .
and some one said 0.7 in this post some place will have more speed fixs better speeds and be more stable . which is probable true with new issue ofc .

I agree, it hasn't been optimised properly for the 480. Of course maybe there are optimised miners out there but people are keeping them private for their own gain

There is i read a few off site posts about private farms. even the cloud farms are . I find other interesting stuff looking for other stuff i never find. some one on the forums was taking bids for his only copy of a working proxy from what i saw that worked better then nice hashes bot and works anyplace starting bid was one btc, hell get it i think he was the person who sold off a few bots for selling to the exchanges .

Hey Guys... First time poster here, new-ish to mining... I wanted to see if I can help some other people with the issues they are experiencing with mining ZCash using Genoil's miner. I have a few different machines I'm using for mining but my main rig is 6x 390Xs running Windows 10 Pro. I've, up until recently, been mining Ethereum on it running reliably at more than 200MH/s using Claymore's miner. Mining ZCash has meant a lot of baby sitting crashing software for the past few days, but I've been running Genoil's 0.6 now for about 6-7 hours without issue. So far no decrease in hash rates and cards are all restarting upon a crash. Here is my configuration: Crimson 16.6 - Windows 10 Pro 64bit 6x R9 390X 8GB - Stock Intel Celeron - 16GB RAM - Samsung SSD - 2x 1000w PSUs Running Genoil 0.6 with the following batch file(s): title Miner01 :start genoil.exe -c us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u YourZCashTAddress.Miner01 -p z -i 20 -w 64 -P 1 -f 2 -g 0 1 cls timeout /T 10 goto start
I am running 2 cards per instance, which seems to be very stable, so 3 slightly different batch files. The first line titles the cmd window so you know which miner you are looking at more easily. The -f switch is set to 2 which will exit genoil.exe if the miner crashes, and the -g switch just says to run the first two cards. That -g switch and the window title/address are the only that differ between my batch files. Basically when Genoil crashes, for any reason, it will continue on in the batch file and just start Genoil.exe over continuously. You may need to change the -P switch to a 0 if this doesn't work, different rigs are picky about this switch. There is only one other problem with this... The windows debug window will pop up and yell at you saying Genoil.exe has crashed. This will prohibit the batch file from continuing until you press 'Close Program'. The easiest solution to this is to turn off this dialog via Group Policy: GPEdit.exe > Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Error Reporting > "Prevent display of the user interface for critical errors" = EnabledThere should be a way to do this via the registry if you don't have access to GPEdit, but the information I've found is inconclusive and hasn't seemed to work. Now when one of your threads/cards crashes, they will restart automatically without any user interaction. This setup has been tested on two different 'Hawaii' based rigs and another 'Pitcairn' rig. Yield is about 30S/s on 390X & 17S/s on 270X.Happy Mining - Let me know if you have any questionsUPDATE: Running this batch file and configuration for ~24 hours with no crashes or degradation in Sols/s. Average hash rate as shown by flypool is stable and creeping up to meet my current effective hash rate!

how to mine with cpu?
I've been using this: https://github.com/etherchain-org/nheqminer/releases/tag/0.2 on Flypool. Seems to be very stable and reliable. Running this with a simple batch file: title Miner01CPU nheqminer.exe -u YourZCashTAddress.Miner01CPU -l us1-zcash
No problems with it so far, I've had it running for 72+ hours on multiple machines with no failures. Yield: ~17Sols/S on i7-2600k - Stock ~16Sols/S on i5-2500k - Stock

not enough memory on the card. it has 153.6 GB/s GDDR5 you need to mine 2 gb sadly it would work if the memory could handle it .

Just tested the dual thread mode (-k zec zec) with 0.6 and got a crash last night on a Rx 470. Single thread seems OK.

Just the Silentarmy kernel needs 1.3GB but the other miners don't. But that card won't work, just like my 6990 didn't work on any of these miners released so far.

Here is my expereince with ZEC mining for now:
I have it running on 2 rigs for now:
RIG 1: 1X 290 + 2X 370 2GB + 1X 380 2GB WIN7
With genoil 0.6 and mining now at nanopool it been doing average 70 sols/s and stable for 24hr now. (No slow down in hash speed)
RIG 2: 5X RX470 4GB WIN7
Tried everything from 0.4.1 to 0.6, various settings... seems to hash quite well (125-130 sols/s), is stable, but I will get some GPU doing 0sol/s after some time. Tried some restart bat file but nothing works great for some, always need some babysitting.

Hi I think Genoil 0.6 is stable for me this is my setup : first rig 6x MSI RX 480 Stock Mod its makes 140~155 Sol/S. title NanoPool-rig2 :start setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 genoil.exe -c zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6666 -u t1QKD2fit4aEbR3xhMERLLutGqwGr5paPY8/rig2 -p z -i 20 -w 64 -P 1 -g 0 1 2 3 4 5 -f 2 cls timeout /T 10 goto start and its the most stable one the second rig 6x MSI RX 480 4G Moded its make 140~165 Sol/s title NanoPool-rig1 :start setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0 setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 genoil.exe -c zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6666 -u t1QKD2fit4aEbR3xhMERLLutGqwGr5paPY8/rig1 -p z -i 18 -w 64 -P 1 -g 0 1 2 3 4 5 -f 2 cls timeout /T 10 goto start
and its become stable just after change -i 18 , that makes the mod useless and I will change it to stock ROM . you can check it from here : https://zec.nanopool.org/account/t1QKD2fit4aEbR3xhMERLLutGqwGr5paPY8both of 2 rigs now up more than 18 hour with Genoil 0.6 and I think its nice . and I am waiting for Clymore ZEC miner to test it .

Hashrates using the silentarmy v2 kernel: R9 Fury X @1050/500 - 35-40 Sol/s R9 290 & 390 @ 1060/1500 - 32-34 Sol/s R9 280x @ 957/1200 - 28-32 Sol/s Overall I'm really happy with the performance, but fixing the stability so it doesn't crash every time would make it even better I have r9 390 @ 1080/1500 and can't get more than 24Sol/s with 4g ram and amd sempron, in config changed 2 to 3 instances but no change, tried higher TC, same hashrate. Using 15.12 drivers Win7 x64, what am I missing here? Same thing with this http://coinsforall.io/distr/zcashclient-0.2.4.zip . And on r9 280x rig, genoil miner just crashes on same mobo cpu ram, Application unable to start correctly, 0xc000007b . Same driver and OS. Both rigs are at 70%+ CPU use, is that the problem ? Hashes fine with eth or previous algos.
