Avoid transacting with anybody you dont know. There is no way because sometimes evn those reputable here are ending up to scam people. You have to think twice whether if you get scammed you afford to lose whatever a scammer takes from you or dont do any deal with anybody.

Verify the trust level of that user. If you see a red mark there: stay away (that mean the user is a scammer).
If you want to make a deal with another member, use a escrow.

The best protection that you can get in this forum is always get an escrow and the kind of escrow that is known and trusted because there escrow wannabies out there who will volunteer to be an escrow to a deal just to get a positive feedback. Other than getting an escrow, I cant think of anything else on how not to be scammed here.

Too many the people are promoting their service are having a high chance for to be a fraud, someone is trusting will not for directly making any PM in your inbox. I guess this is just used by the people are having a low trust level, don't trust someone in this cases, without making any PM for you the trusted person are already having a lot of the people are know him in this place.

If someone is messaging you personally which would be a scam you could start a thread in accusation regarding it and you could expose if you think they are planning to scam you,there are no services provided by bitcointalk but the service section is used by its members,so be careful when you are dealing with money

We'll mostly of them offered such to good to be true offers and untrue situation of their business establishments,sites and etc, and thats totally a red flag if someone offered you such of those, just be more vigilant bad peoples are always been here watching and monitoring on those who is easy to be fooled by them, the one thing though's you should remember there's no easy way to earn money here, and no busines/sites/people can generate big profit returns from your investment.

Try to digging their account: trust, history post and what the user have been done.
Always use an escrow for any transaction, unless you can manage a transaction situation which can saving you from being scam.

Better do not respond to them. If you want to participate in any trading activities ot to avail any services, you must initiate the conversation and listening to the strangers might lead to getting scammed finally. I do get weekly 2 to 5 PM from strangers always. Just, ignoring them is the right action I do take all the times.

In the first place, you shouldn't respond to those one. Since trading has a platform and you can trade online in a site instead of person to person EXCEPT if that person is the one you know or a legit one in this forum. Make sure to vouch them first before transacting to them. Or another alternative is that, hire an escrow from this forum to keep your money safe in that transaction. But, the safest thing to do in trading is by trading in a site because there's low risk of loosing your money.

That's quite an obvious question actually. If you came accross from a stranger asking to help you out on a trade and handle you money, will allow them? If it is me I wont. What I am saying is know that persons background first and always ask help from someone that you know is trusted. Do not just plunge in to an offer just so it sounds interesting. it is not easy to tell and it's hard to know if a person wants to help you he just want to deceive you . so my best advice would be given to you avoid transacting with so many people very often and do not trust them easily . it is very hard to make sure that they are not a fraud especially they are distant from you don't even know them .

yeah because they are everywhere and we don't actually notice them easily , they are hard to be traced once they have took away your money or stuffs from you because it seems to be impossible to know their location especially when we talking about bitcoin . so it better to be cautious and do not trust any around you on the internet and keep your stuffs in safe also do not give a lot of information about you .

To escape from scammers? I guess it is not that easy to look if the one you are talking to is a scammer or not, there we are lots of people trying to persuade others especially if they knew that people are in need like taking advantage to those who are in need.

Use escrow every time you gonna make a transaction to anyone first check if there's an positive of the user so that you could see if his legit or not. And if his too greedy and he want you to send the payment first then he will scam you.

In trying to avoid scammers by using escrow, one is not totally free, because an escrow without reputation can also scam. What I think is the best way to avoid getting scammed is to put one's greed on check, because that is what scammers capitalized on. When a deal is looking too good to be true, there is no need trying to confirm if it true or not, money does not grow on trees.

Before you trade with members check their trust rating, that will tell you a lot about someone. You can also check scam accusation section, there you can see topics about possible scammers. Except that you can always use escrow and that will protect you 100 %, there is no chance someone will trade and scam you while you have founds in escrow.

For your finances, ignore any request to send money to the people you dont know, never give some financial information (e.g, SSS, credit card number). I wouldn't depend solely on common sense because scammers are already experienced and they know how to manipulate people now. It's not always about the offer, it's easy to make a realistic offer but still scam someone. For example, you're having a deal with someone and the guy says that you have to send first because he just got scammed by someone. You'll pity him and so you sent first, the guy will just run away. This is one of the most basic ways scammer manipulate you, there are other ways to do so and they always end up having a good and smart way to scam you.

I'm not trading with unknown people and I always prefer to trade only with my close friends circle. I am passionately building a big bitcoin community for this purposes. It simply eliminates the risk of getting scammed and saves time and also eliminates the need of having escrow. Yes, we do trade in persons.

There is no risk in trading with strangers, as long as you didn't fall on their words or promise. I never trust escrow since they can also scam you. When I do trading, I always do favor for me first ir meet ups so that they can not scam me. Also, it is better not to earn than to be scammed.

There are trusted escrows here, nothing to worry. These reputable escrows won't scam you for a transaction and destroy their reputation forever. It takes too much time to be build, they will accomplish with their word.
Without escrows here you can't do many things, you won't find anyone to trade with you without a trusted escrow.

In any situation, There will be always risks involved in trading. The only difference between them is their level of riskiness. Having said that yes escrows can also scam you but It is less riskier dealing with trusted escrows than a starnger right? Since their past involvement is also a must review to based their trust rating. Even if there are so many scammers here there will be always some people that you can trust to.

That's a good advice. Escrow is must for any transaction in crypto world. And avoid all "too good to be true", "get rich quick" schemes! They are designed to steal money from new people in the crypto world and always take time to read and study about the new developments relating to the crypto world.

Any of the member in this forum sites are free to talk to anyone. If someone here sending a message to you and making a transaction with you there's no problem with it, unless HE/SHE asking any bitcoin from you to send to hi/her BTC addy. Well you better think about it, unless you know the person so well why not. But if not, avoid that guys for your safe in the scammer.

Just don't talk too much on in the stranger in this forum which you do not know him/her personally, unless if that person is trusted one for you. The sign was I think if asking you to pay him via bitcoin with his/her address, just check first, investigate, ask the opinion of the veteran member here from Sr. member and up so that you know what to do.

We cannot determine actually who is the scammer in this community, its very hard also to give our trust to anyone here in this thread to. Sometimes the scammers are great pretender too, they are good in conversation, they can easily get the trust of others once they hit it, that's the sign for them that they have a victim. so be careful to whom you talking too, its up to you if you accept my thoughts or not, whether you take it or leave it, nothing to lose for me.

Verify the trust level of that user. If you see a red mark there: stay away (that mean the user is a scammer).
If you want to make a deal with another member, use a escrow.
There are may members here in forum wich offer a escrow service (some of them for free).

Yeah theres a lot scammer around this forum, just dont do any transaction without Escrow. If trade is real the person who offer some service will agree using Escrow, but if he dont want to use Escrow, then he is scammer. Ignore their PM, you can report that member if they spam your inbox.

in this case if they're offering you things which are too good to be true then you must avoid and it's better to never make a contact to them even if they're pm-ing you first.

There are many signs in anything that they say if it is true or not but that is only in your mind. You should need to try it to know if it is real so that you continue with it. Too many the people are promoting their service are having a high chance for to be a fraud, someone is trusting will not for directly making any PM in your inbox. I guess this is just used by the people are having a low trust level, don't trust someone in this cases, without making any PM for you the trusted person are already having a lot of the people are know him in this place.

Yes personal messaging is the best way to be safe in scammer. You need to know who is the one you will make a transaction with because in trading there is no physical currency that you can see. In transaction some trader want to have the trade first before they pay, because somehow they also think the same way if you are a scammer or not. And if you have some past transaction in some people you can used them to know who is the person to trust on or not.

Agreed. Because a lot of newbie are just alt of others scammers as well. So they will try everything to scam people out of their bitcoin without you knowing it. I felt sorry for those who are already a victim of scams here, specially a newbie being scammed by a newbie. Just used for better judgement in making transactions. On the other side, there are also members here who built their trust because its really hard to build one, so they protect their hard earn trust here in our forum. So making trade to them is safe.

But past record alone will not help to prevent getting scammed. Because there are a lot of incidents that some trusted people turned scammers overnight. Engaging escrow and dealing in multiple times by dividing the total amount into small parts are few of practical way to safeguard ourselves from not getting scammed.

I always do prefer to go for currency exchange with only small amount even in the case of going through escrow. That amount is affordable to lose in worst case.

Maximum,avoid trading with newbies as it may be an account just now opened by the scammer to cheat you.Always use escrow while trading and dont bother about the small amount of escrow fees,otherwise you will end up with loss of your own investment.Check whether they have red trust mark.If found,just avoid trading with them.

Yes that is right and that is the very common scheme of the scammers which is using newbie account for doing transactions here in our forum but it is better to just avoid newly created newbie account who wants to do big transactions because they are obviously scammers and they just want to victimize other people who are not aware of them.

Don't click their link. Check the website they  sent tl you by reading some reviews, articles, and such forums in order to know if it is real or not.
