You do it just like IRL. That's not too hard is it?

If someone you don't know texts you with offers, advice, and "once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity" you don't just give them your trust and money.

If a total stranger suddenly approaches you and offers some kind of exchange, proposal, etc , you don't just hand over your money.

How is it any different online? If anything, this should make you more cautious.
So always, always check. Most of the scams perpetuated here could have been avoided if they had checked and if they hadn't let greed take over with "too good to be true" deals/offers. That or it's some sort of shady deal.

Use escrow every time you gonna make a transaction to anyone first check if there's an positive of the user so that you could see if his legit or not. And if his too greedy and he want you to send the payment first then he will scam you.

Thats very easy. Just see at their account and when you see theres a red mark, just stay away because maybe he/she did something bad from his/her past transactions. If you see theres a green mark in his/her account, thats the one you should transact with because his/her account is reputable. You should also stay away from newbies because it was just newly created account.

Green mark does not mean they are all trusted imho, there are some bought accounts with green trust iirc. Better to use trusted escrow for any transactions, keep safe is always better.

Now we are having alerts for password and email changes in the trust page of a user. So, we can easily identify any recently traded accounts. People are having the practice of giving neutral feedback to warn people if they come across any traded accounts with positive feedbacks.

Better to use trusted escrow for any transactions, keep safe is always better.

This must be a universal fact here, using escrow will safeguard us all the time regardless of we are dealing with green trust members or not.

Well you must use escrow for making transaction on this forum and you can check on their account, does they have positive feedback or not from the other users, and don't make deal using reversible payment method except they can be trusted.

To escape from scammers? I guess it is not that easy to look if the one you are talking to is a scammer or not, there we are lots of people trying to persuade others especially if they knew that people are in need like taking advantage to those who are in need.

But I guess here, in this industry you better be wise on whom you trust especially when you are sending bitcoin to the one you do not know, think so many times before making moves, it might lose you most, avoid the newbie as other posted, you better look at their trust rate it might help you, use escrow if you want to be paid by others for good transactions.

The best RULE for yourself here is:       THINK MANY TIMES, TRUST LESS.

if you really have done many online transaction and so often then you will eventually meet a stranger that you don't really know,the only thing you can do is by checking out his past transactions and any feedbacks which is sent to him,never dealing with stranger will make you done nothing about transaction

Escrow can be a help or a disaster too the first thing i have learned during transacting online is that there is no such thing that guarante safe. Even using escrow is not safe because when the time comes in need where money can blind a person's humanity there comes a disaster to people trust him.

Even green trust is no a guarantee that you will not be scammed since there is the possibility someone just bought that account, or is in some way abusing the trust system.

Assume that everyone is a scammer at first. Always use escrow(and by escrow I mean one of the legit escrows that have a proven track record, and multisig is preferable). Ranks don't matter as much as trust in my opinion. Full member and senior member accounts are bought and sold everyday on this forum so you better watch out and be careful.

I think the only way to prevent yourself from scammer member is to use escrow for every trade you decide to make. This is very effective and convenient for both sides. And the another way to avoid being scammed is to directly meet in the physical to  make a trade face to face.

I doubt that many people here on the forum will want to do a face to face trade since most people here want to have a certain degree of anonymity and will not like their accounts to be linked to them.

To be safe from scammers always have an escrow everytime you have something to buy or trade from a person. Never go first because you can't say whether he is trusted or a scammer. IF he don't agree for an escrow then don't trust that person and find someone who will agree to escrow.

Always using escrow is a must but I don't think is enough to not trust newbies since you can buy accounts in the forum the lesson must be don't trust anyone period.

If we implement this kind of attitude here then market economy in bitcointalk.org will not boom.  In order to have a safe transaction with unknown people, we can use the service of escrow.  'That is the beauty of this forum, we have many reputable escrow that have established their credibility with the number of successful trades or escrowing successful trades between two  parties.
