Experts believe that bitcoin can soon break away from competitors in a short time when new system updates will appear. Soon it will be possible to send bitcoin much cheaper and more efficiently. There will be an opportunity to conduct micropayments which perhaps will make bitcoin a more common means of payment around the world.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Maybe with the implementation of the lightning system we`ll see more pluses to say that BTC have chances to be succesfull currency with the mass usage and adoption but for now the existing problems do not give us such confidence to say ''yes''.

From what I can NOW see, the answer is maybe.  At this point in time, we all know that bitcoin doesn't operate very well as a currency for small, day to day transactions, though the possibility exists that things will change in this regard, of course.  For large, cross border transactions however, there has literally never been a better means to transact.  I'm very curious to see how the side chains experiment goes.   I think anyone and everyone in our forum wants to see bitcoin as the future of money, as we'll all benefit greatly if it were to become so.  If we want it to get there, please continue to speak with all of your friends and family about the benefit of transacting in a decentralized world!

The future money is just a label people put to bitcoin to exclaimed the ability of bitcoin top develop and to initiate progress within its price and its value on the market. I think most of people want to earn as a perspective of the future so having bitcoin is also being a part or settling a future within our money so we could definitely conclude that bitcoin could serve as a form of future money.

One thing's for sure, Bitcoin has potential. It has benefits that normal money/currency can't give. It gives us convenience and it supports the technology today. However, some governments doesn't accept this cryptocurrency which makes it difficult to prosper.

I think bitcoin is not the future money if the transaction fee is very expensive and its too long to send bitcoin. Maybe it will use by people as the future money if their is some adjustment or need to fix by the developer the issue and problem of bitcoin

Bitcoin has been proclaimed dead 89 times. It has been labeled a Ponzi scheme and a failed experiment. Writers have argued for it to be forgotten and for developers to move on to greener pastures. But moving beyond this rhetoric, it’s not all that difficult to compare the rise of bitcoin to that of another technology: the World Wide Web. http://blockgeeks.com/questions/what-is-your-future-predictions-of-bitcoin/#comment-604

No and it will never be. Bitcoin will never become the future of money as it doesn't have the basic characteristics of being a money. Money is basically a contract between the central bank to pay the bearer the similar value in exchange of a note. So money is regulated by a central authority and backed by some tangible asset like gold.

On the other hand, bitcoin is not backed by any tangible asset and not regulated by any central authority. It is anonymous which is not a characteristic of a money. You can say, bitcoin is an alternate currency which is creating a parallel internet economy.

If I think so, because the exposure in bitcoin forums is very much, so maybe it could be the currency in a more advanced period for Indonesia.

I'm sure BTC will be used as the main currency for all payments in the future. Anyway, many people want the main use of BTC. Many users feel satisfied to use BTC as a way to transfer and store value.

all that can happen because of the times and technological developments as we know first payment with barter system but along with the times and technology changing with coin or paper as well as bitcoin may also be a currency that can be used as a means of buying and selling transactions

Soon or late bitcoin will be found, the fact the younger people are addicted to cellphones isnt something new, the world is getting more conected, and bitcoin its a currencie online, soo give time till someone make something revolutionary with phones and bitcoin. I do believe bitcoin will force and expose all beneficts of a digital currencie, instead the currently printed money.

In my own opinion, bitcoin is not the future of money, but the stepping stone or the headstart towards developing a better replacement for money, for me bitcoin is still at its early stages and still has plenty of room for development. This boom on popularity and value of bitcoin is a good start towards developing a very reliable and accessible form of currency

If we will side the bright sides of bitcoin it can be a future money. But if we will consolidate all the things that bitcoin can’t do well it is definitely not the future money. First of all Bitcoin is not accepted in the whole word, we all know that there are a lot of countries that don’t accept bitcoin or it is prohibited on their country. Secondly bitcoin needs an internet in order for it to be productive or accessible. In this case we can say that there are some place here in the word that has no internet at all. There are more of disadvantage of bitcoin that can’t make this the future money.

i think this question is too old. Not only Bitcoin but also all cryptoes will become the future of money. I believe that in the future, when the Internet covers all around the world, crypto will replace cash in the economy.

It's already happening but we are only on the early stage.  Like the the cellular phones, internet and other innovations, we are struggling towards success. We are still on the middle of our journey through massive adoption.

I think it is not because Bitcoin is a virtual currency. Many people, many countries have not accepted it yet. Its digital trading is easy to get into a scam, so it can not give people real currency stability, so I think it should not be possible to become The real future money.
