My Avalon only works with stratum. With getwork, it generates tons of getwork requests, but rarely submit solved shares (difficulty=1) to the server. Do you have the same issue?

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

it works with getwork, it just needs an INSANE computer to keep it fed. Stock bitcoinD cannot handle it. P2pool can barely do it on a 3930K. will memory leak and crash within a couple hours.

I find mine does OK solo mining against bitcoind (and variants), and on getwork pools.

However, cgminer seems to restart regularly every few minutes.  This does not happen when using stratum.

You need a new firmware. Did you try "next"? We just just made a new one a couple hours ago with a new cgminer build that fixes many things and tweaks the watchdog.

Moving along nicely now I think. More soon. Testing on my two avalons tonight, but looks good.

When will this firmware be released and available in the "testing" folder?
