In the time that it takes to write this reply I could have bought Bitcoin three times.  It is not hard, it is not hard at all.  There are numerous sites that require ID and info and there are even more sites that do not.  Provided that you are buying Bitcoin with the intention of investing or purchasing and that you intent to report all gains from the purchase of a commodity, then you are not even breaking the law.  Get over it and just do it.

The major reason for these sort of verification is mainly because to counter illegal funds,credit card frauds and hacked funds and so is the reason every online services that deals with money is taking it serious to avoid serious issues as they do not want to lose money and if there is a legal proceeding they can very well provide the details which would help them track the criminals.

I kind of look at it the same as you do. Whenever there is a huge ICO that is about to get launched I am kind of curious how the new people who have no idea of what Bitcoin is invest into an ICO without the knowledge of Bitcoin exchanges and Altcoins.

Are you sure because if I own bitcoin, it is a matter of seconds for me to convert them to altcoins from any exchange at the nominal fees of 0.2%.
And as far as buying bitcoin concerned, I could buy bitcoin in my country directly from Net Banking which hardly takes 5-10 minutes.

I have not really bought any bitcoin in a while, i have been mostly trading this last year.  but i have been trying to buy today from localbitcoins and bittylicious and it has been a real challenge.  they want photos of me holding cards on localbitcoins and on bitty they need about 4 different forms of id, what is going on. 

this is seriously restrictive to anyone wanting to get into bitcoin,  like its meant to be pseudonymous but if the gate ways into bitcoin dont allow that people will be put off.   

Well, am yet to see such restrictions in my country because the first bitcoin that i bought was so easy and i don't think such strict regulations exist in my country. Bitcoin local exchanger have their office almost every where that one can walk in and exchange bitcoin with your local currency or dollar value.

Now if you don't want your personal information to be submitted to other people I would like to suggest that you can buy Bitcoins in ATM Machines in which the comvert your money to Bitcoin. Also there are Botcoin Wallets thats offer Buy and Sell in which you don't give them any kind of information.

It's not really that hard to find some seller it's just the way they sell their bitcoins to you just follow what they wanted from you only if they a trusted sellers. You can still buy some low bitcoins out of the market but the point of interest is totally big than buying to a trusted sellers of bitcoin. Sometimes there is a limit where you can buy bitcoin to some of the seller that you can actually got to used to.

By just simply buying bitcoins it is hard? I don't think so, it is very easy to buy bitcoins. You just need to visit an exchange where you are comfortable of doing it so. But most of the exchanges are requiring verification's and asking for identifications for the validation. And maybe that's why others are having hard time, they can't provide those ID's.
