We have a sad news to announce: FaucetBOX.com is closing. We disabled creating new accounts today. On 19 December 2016 we will disable our API, which means that faucets using FaucetBOX.com will stop working. We will continue to handle withdrawals for owners and users until 16 January 2017. You have 6 weeks to update your faucets and migrate to other micropayments services. Remember that you have to reach the payout threshold to receive a withdrawal. Faucet owners will have to manually withdraw their coins in Dashboard before 16 January 2017.

FaucetBOX.com never operated with a fractional reserve. We have enough funds to withdraw coins to all users and owners with balance above the payout threshold.

To ease the transition and give alternative to faucet owners, we released Faucet in a BOX update which adds Paytoshi.org and ePay.info support.
 We will continue releasing updates of our faucet script in the future.

Despite many efforts and great growth FaucetBOX.com didn’t turn into a profitable business and we’re not able to sustain it anymore.

We would like to thank all of our users, faucet owners and our whole community. You were great and supportive. We are very glad we could deliver you fast, easy to use and secure service. For many faucets are the first contact with cryptocurrencies and we believe that FaucetBOX.com left a positive mark on this industry.

Summarizing:
If you’re a faucet user, make sure you’ve reached the payout threshold before 16 January 2017.
If you’re a faucet owner, make sure you’ve migrated your faucet before 19 December 2016 and withdrawn all your coins before 16 January 2017.

the number 1 problem was that faucet owners gave rewards of 1 dogecoin or 30 satoshi per dispense and it doesnt worth to solve 2 captcha for these amounts.

Yes, the owner says it's not profitable for him anymore. It's a really good service, but the owner doesn't want to continue and will shut down the service. But don't worry, we will have another good one micro payment system to use and to earn our income from faucets.

Still looking for http://www.faucethub.io/ official launch as new faucet service provider, it was really surprising to see well known faucetbox wasn't making any profit out of operation. They could have sold their platform for good amount rather than closing it down, may be good owner/management could have found better way to increase profit.

That is bad news i thought that they are making lots of money there.. and i think it is impossible that they are not making any profit since they can change there domain in to new domain if they can not afford to pay and extend domain..
Or for security reason.  maybe they can not make profit because of paying security of their service and more refunds because of bots outside..

Looks they lost the adsense also and it demotivated FaucetBox to continue working. Adsense was the biggest income for everybody, it's a hard loss for micro payments system, but they will need to find a way to continue existing without the high and easy income from google adsense.

Their script was weak against bots also...

All it means is that new micro payment processors will step to the plate to fill the growing demand. The adsense bans are actually good for Bitcoin in the long run because website owners will switch to Bitcoin advertising networks and eventually the supply and demand will equalize. Soon everything will be integrated and hopefully put adsense out of business.

I agree. Publishing Google ads is about as useful as working for Mc Donalds. (at least mc d's pays their employees!)

What a sad story that Faucetbox will cease they operation .  I got a few payments from this site during this past summer. 

The only thing I really do not like from this site was that many faucets have too many banners and the pay was so little for the work and the time you spent.

I forgot all about faucetbox as I use faucets that pay directly to my BTC and Altcoin wallets. So I checked my balance on faucetbox and saw I had 500,000 sats lol which I lowered the threshold to 500,000 so I can get paid as I had it at 1 millions sats. Lucky I checked or else I would of lost this amount even though it is a small amount it can still buy some other cheap Altcoins. It is sad to see faucetbox go as many faucets use this service but as people have been saying a new service will step up and take it's place.
