Legalization of marijuana is evil. Legalization of drugs will lead to degradation of the population. Now with a drug problem and will be even worse.

In Portugal they decriminalised all drugs and sent people to treatment rather than prison.

Guess what happened next?

Drug use went DOWN.

I do not believe that after the legalization of drug consumption may be reduced. Alcohol is legal so what? Its consumption is declining? No. Will also be with drugs.

Rather than not believing, do some research. Look at what has happened in Portugal - it's been over 14 years since they decriminalized.

Since it is legal, people don't need to report that they are selling and using.

Your cited data thus is capable of lying (as did the polls for the 2016 USA presidential election because survey respondents lied).

Also you need to differentiate between hardcore drugs and soft drugs which are used to get teenagers started into drugs. Marijuana is a stepping stone to dysfunctional lifestyle and very likely slide into harder drugs.

weed is not a drug, its just a plant that grows why or how can this be evil??

Lethally poisonous plants should be legal to sell for food consumption because plants can't be evil?

In other words, the logic that plants can't be evil isn't logical.

and the more people switch from alcohol to weed the better it is ofr the population

I drank a lot of recreational alcohol in my life and it didn't destroy my lifestyle habits. I remained an athlete and productive engineer. Alcoholism is of course an insidious disease with poor outcomes.

Those I've known who smoke pot have become unproductive drug dealers (other than my parents who quit after the 1960s). Seem marijuana is more lifestyle altering because it turns the man into weakling, shriveled, pothead. Turns women into hindbrain sluts.

Congratulations California.

I still hope it will be legalised here in the Netherlands, we have 700+ coffeeshops where we can buy our weed for decades but it's all in a grey area of our laws. I'm a grower and growing on wholesale level 250+ plants every 10/14 weeks run (5 plants are allowed) but it's illegal for me to grow and deliver to the coffeeshops.

It kinda hurts the USA is catching up on us with their legalization.  Tongue

Congratulations California.

This will lead to a fracturing of the USA. We will not have one nation after 2032.

I loved the climate in California when I lived there. But alas the culture has gone bezerk liberals. Hope the western and southern portions of California (with the people as in Pompeii) falls off into the Pacific Ocean with a giant severing of the fault lines.

I heard that California is bankrupt, as a result of the welfare rats leaching the state resources. I hope that tax money from Marijuana sales may allow them to stay afloat for some time.

You misunderstand.

When drugs are illegal, people do not need to report that they are selling or using. In fact, they have even less inclination to do so for obvious reasons!

In Portugal, ALL drugs have been decriminalised, "hard" or "soft".

I implore you to do a google search to see what has happened in the 15 years since they decriminalised all drugs.

I do think that the tax revenue will be the main factor in many states deciding to legalise and regulate cannabis.

Marijuana cannot be used in medicine. She's too weak for anesthesia. There are medicines more suitable for this purpose. It attempts to teach society and then to legalize the use of marijuana.

After spelling the word 'Restricted' like that, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume that your opinion on the matter is null and void. By your same logic both Alcohol and Tobacco should be restricted for Health use and not for public consumption. Do you remember Prohibition? Speakeasies? Bootleggers? Scalawags? History repeats itself, be careful out there.  Wink

So you are suggesting that reporting is more accurate when it's illegal? That doesn't pass the smell test.
