I see btc as a form of payment with the fastest confirmation and the least transaction fee. Paypal may need to pay up to 20% fee. Paypal and ebay tends to be buyer protection so as a seller, i am not very happy to deal with this kind of payment.

For me bitcoin is a business and a currency like others we have there is no any difference in other traditional currencies and in bitcoin it is working the same for me as a national currency and it is giving me the same profit which other people are getting from their business so I have respect for bitcoin.

It depends on the type of people some will have a different mind with different type of business so they will collect capital via bitcoin and after collecting they will start their business which is in their minds and some are interested in crypto world so for them it is their field of business and they will be there forever.

I read some replies, mainly in the Mining section that said mining was a fun hobby for them and not a thing that they could continue doing as a business. In the Project Development section I found many projects that generated profit like your local businesses.

How serious is BTC to you? Could you look at it as a foundation of business/job or is it just an exciting hobby/experiment?

I guess it greatly depends on the amount of bitcoins you have

If you have only dust, the question would be ridiculous itself since the only thing that you could do with your "stash" is to just gamble it away. If you had a few thousand bitcoins and they made up a hefty share of your total wealth, then, obviously Bitcoin would be a great deal to you. Also, it depends on how you use your bitcoins specifically. If they just sit idly in your wallet, it is one thing, while it will be a totally different one if you make a living off them, for example, through day trading

I'm from Venezuela and BTC are ver y serious for me, i have all muy savings in BTC and i dont care about the volatility. Due the financial issue in this country, having my money in my currency it's wasting it (inflation rate its >10% MONTHLY) so it's a way to keep my purchasing power

before i know bitcoin, i am with paypal for almost 6 years, and i am very happy with paypal but after i know bitcoin, i think i am prefer with bitcoin because for me bitcoin is simple than paypal, the transaction is not difficult, we don't have to login or type anything except wallet address to send. and this is why bitcoin is really serious to me and i am treating bitcoin as i am treat my money because its another small investment for me.

If being serious about bitcoin means relying on it for my primary income, then no I wouldn't classify myself as "serious."

I bought most of my bitcoin back when it was in the $10-$14 range and have been hodling and accumulating as speculation for future value more than anything else.

It is a good thing to start with as a side income first and slowly you start exploring the options to make more money with bitcoins than you can think of using bitcoins as the main source of revenue. You just need to find some good market to sell your service then you earn good money online. I'm also using bitcoins to earn some money during my free time .

I view bitcoin as very important to me and my lifestyle.
I use it everyday to exchange with and receive payments for the work that I do.
So I am quite serious when it comes to bitcoin and what I use it for.

As a student. Bitcoin is really important to me because it helps me to pay for my tuition fees and other miscellaneous. I do trading altcoins which makes earn enough to to survive. Its also allow me to work with ease. If you have good capital you should be fine. Theres nothing to compare with bitcoin. Thats all i can say.

I guess the longer we stay here the more we are attached with bitcoin, actually we are doing a great job as long as it's all productive. Only few in the world knows about bitcoin and definitely it's our chance to be the pioneer when this will continue to succeed in the future. It will be big, the community and the economy and no question about that so let's focus on this as there's more we can do here that will bring us good life.

I see it as a bit of both right now. The technology that comes from all this will grow in the world, and it could be an emerging market like networking and the internet in 1991.

I've gone so far as to offer a short course on btc at my local community college.

It's still mostly just a fun hobby, but with all the vitriol in the ecosystem a lot of the fun has disappeared.

How serious is BTC to you? Could you look at it as a foundation of business/job or is it just an exciting hobby/experiment?
I think for now it is just an experiment or maybe you could say a sidekick, but it would be a lot more when I actually own a couple of BTC Cheesy
I think then I would be able to see it as a proper business or opportunity for a business with it.

I'm  serious enough like I'm handling my money(fiat). You could look bitcoin as a foundation  of business when you have a lot of it but unlike me who doesn't  have lots of it. I think of it as somekind of hobby and use it when i really  need it.

Bitcoin is an investment to me, I believe it will make me rich in the future so I already started saving now and this is for preparation for another price increase that is going to happen in the following years to come. I do not see the future but I have never been too confident with my investment.
