I'll give it a shot if you'll have me, How many cards? And what PSU Model do you need it to work with. Also, can you upload stock ROM?

The rig is 3 of these cards and 3 of the MSI rx 470 4gb. There are numerous Roms for that model that work so there is no issue there. The PSU is a Corsair HX1000i Platinum 1000w. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0EIcRVSSUSHY1NSaVR0UzRDLXc?usp=sharing

What OS are you running? If windows then they will fit easily, because you can go very low on wattage with right WattTool profile. Important information will be your current energy consumption.

yes, If he is using windows, no need for a custom ROM, just use Crimson and set a decent undervolt for the core and memory.

Well, memory strap modification will be needed if you want to achive lets say 29Mh/s ETH

Win10 Well, memory strap modification will be needed if you want to achive lets say 29Mh/s ETH
I've modded the straps to achieve this already, just unsure how to reduce power usage. Watt tool does not let me edit this model.

I've only copied the 1500 strap to the 1625 and above straps. That is all. cclock ends up at 1200 mclock is 1750 Watt tool does not tell me the voltages.

It should be possible to drop volts in the VBIOS in the VoltageObjectInfo table - unless it's one of those odd ones without a regulator init section.
Hey wolf. It's the only 480 I have that does not give me voltage info.

I have not, I'll give it a try although I'm looking for a ROM because i don't want watt settings to be reset. ROM's are easier once set. I'll look though if I can't get a ROM here

Hmm, well that means you don't need a modded ROM, this default ROM is already 99 Watts, so should be able to have even 6 of these cards on a 1000 Watt PSU. The only benefit I see for making a custom ROM is trying to get the VRAM higher default clocks and Lower the CORE Voltages and clocks to be more effecient.

I most certainly cannot fit 6 of these on a 1000w. My kill-a-watt puts it over 1000. I guess try to crank down the core and I'll test it.

Here are the ROMS: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6VgxfTqxux4cWFWbUpDelhQWFkI made 2 core variants and 2 memory variants Try the Stock Mem and Core 1125 mV 850 first, that should be the lowest Wattage ROM that would be named "Asus.RX480.4096.160817_core_1125_mv_850_memory_stock_timing_stock.rom" If it's stable for more than 2 hours, I would then try the "Asus.RX480.4096.160817_core_1125_mv_850_memory_1900_timing_1650.rom" Which is the ROM with same low power core clocks + 1900 Mhz Mem Clock and 1650 Mhz Straps for better Dagger and Equihash performance. BTW, do you have multiple GPUs? Incase the ROMS fail on boot, you can reflash the GPU with stock ROM if you have another GPU that you can boot with. (I'm assuming you know how to do with with ATIFlash/ATIWinFlash?)

I use ATIflash cmd line tool.
