There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin-Qt, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

im betting the difficulty is a bit too high to mine...a few people must have thrown a decent chunk of terra hashes at this coin when it launched...

still hasn't stopped me from pulling out a few of my antminer u3's and mine at one of the OM pools...see what happens

This is seriously the kind of coin that people should just avoid at all cost, like com on... a crypto for christianity. As long as people know its just a pump and dump game here it's all good I guess.

Retirement update:
-Now there is another scene, desperatly trying to steal my passwords (my retirement money).
Recall that now in Jan. 2017, I still cannot even afford for a washing machine, at soon 45 yo.
So I stay away from the internet for a while. Expect no updates, nowhere. Om is now in your hands.
I just got stolen what is a month of food for me (0.5BTC), for I got scammed, I did not noticed
the detail, so why continu and lose everything? I am sick of being humiliated.

End of memo, go to hell.

@DavidSantamaria a suggestion, sorry to hear of your situation and that you were scammed... BUT please protect yourself now and

Enable "Hide email address from public?" your account settings.
,

It seems obvious here that you got scammed by someone who has found your thread and because your email is publicly displayed, they were able to scam you by emailing with a fake Polo email.
don't underestimate the lowlifes that lurk on here looking to scam newbies. unfortunately these scammers are everywhere and will seize any opportunity they can to steal bitcoins from people.  Angry
