With malware on your system whatever you do if your not using a hardware wallet DO NOT enter your wallet passphrase. Once opened the malware can grab the now unencrypted keys that are in system memory. Backup your wallet, ensure it is backed up, then format!

wallet.dat for bitcoin core, electrum lets you make a wallet backup unless you already have your seed.

Am afraid if it is not a new virus, antivirus should be regularly upgraded to handle improved version of this virus. Have not had the experience of the bitcoin virus maybe it is peculiar to darknet.

I, amongst the others here on this thread would like to know if this is actually a virus, of some sort. In the mean time you need to copy the wallet.dat (or export privkeys) and resync on a clean machine, move any btc from that / those addresses and then look to remedy actual problem on machine / wallet.

For me as experience technician for software and hardware i also recommend to back-up your important PC document files and after that you can format everything in your storage disk and don't forget to wipe out all partitions and create new drive C and D because viruses and malwares still present in drives if you don't create new drives partition. After everything is done with formatting the PC hard disk drive you must install anti virus security that is genuine and be sure to have reliable and user friendly antivirus software and then you can get back to your normal activities as wel with internet network access.

Complete wipeout should really be done if you like to clean up your PC because if you done only a semi reformat it wont still work and as you said hardrives C and D are usually the locations on which virus is being replaced.Make back-ups on the most important thing you have so that it wont be included on the deletion.

Best thing as per my opinion , reinstall OS by Formatting current Partition and remove it , make new partitions . Install good AV and Antimalware together , For example Kaspersky Total Security + Malwarebytes and always careful what you doing , what are you downloading Smiley ; I guess no AV can protect you unless you are bit aware about your security Smiley

After reformatting a PC the most important thing that you should do is putting up a Anti-virus like MB,Avast,ESET or any other good AV out of the market and on this way virus could hardly go in into your computer system and those bitcoin virus do exist is a malware which to run automatically and they are being scattered by installing it without any awareness. If you don't have a good antivirus your computer would easily be infected.

I suggest that you format your computer immediately. Backup all bitcoin wallets and passwords, destroy everything else, specially .exe files which may be infected.

Start from scratch and first time you do when you install windows should be to download comodo firewall which is a robust firewall, also download malwarebytes antimalware,  malwarebytes anti ranmsonware,  malwarebytes anti exploit, they do a good job for free. Remember to enable auto updates and that's about it.

Also never visit any strange websites and don't open cracked software in a computer that has bitcoin in it.

I think he dont put a wrong address and i think he mean every time he copy and after paste the result of address are different
This is a virus that we need to check and prevent while we are dealing or sending bitcoin..
The solution for this for safety like other said backup all files password and private keys before you format the whole computer.. and i think someone are remoting hs computer..
