I don't keep much of money in Bitcoin, so if it grows hugely, I would be sad for not having a lot. I want Bitcoin to become just a bit higher, so that the salary for a signature campaign would remain the same in btc but it would be actually more in USD . So, it should be somewhere around $900 but not more than $1000. I am more concerned about the ability to use btc. I would like it to spread, so that I wouldn't have to exchange it.

I like them to drop again in price so I can buy them cheap an then keep them save as I brought over 30 bitcoins and then my laptop broke. so woul make sure that I bank up my wallet and bought more and kept hold of them and what the price rise again one other thing I like if you could buy bitcoin easy with out id and not have to pay a price increase because of it.

Since i don't hold any I wish it will die off now to clear up most of not all the problems that fiat money faces right now. From day one that it has come into existence the REAL money has taken a tumble from GBP to USD all the way down to AUD.

Not really to into the ups and downs of bitcoin, would rather see a stabilized price so that people are not getting dinged on their first interaction with bitcoin. For mass adoption I would think these swings need to be addressed as they are clearly manipulations of the market. So I would also like to see a day when people did not have to worry about a credit score dictating their lot in life or having to grovel for a loan. Economics sets so many peoples path or direction early on,it would be interesting to see a world without these fences.

actually I am not really sure about the idea "bitcoin replace fiat", it sounds scary because when everybody use cryptocurrency, I do not know, it is probably not good.
so I prefer bitcoin is able to be used by some people around the world only. just imo.

I wouldn't like Bitcoin being the worldwide currency or something similar - that only opens the way to the globalisation which I personally dislike. It would obviously be awesome for the price to go up to an insane amount, and I gope the next year will bring us a big increase during the winter. Bitcoin can just be used for a hobby or a secondary investment/business, but I do not agree with the idea of it replacing existing currencies. That means control.

Actually I am not so optimistic about the future of bitcoin in the long run, because digital technologies are in continuous evolution, so I think sooner or later bitcoin will be displaced by something more advanced in the medium term.

What I am aiming at is to see Bitcoin being used way more as a store of value tool where the benefits of Bitcoin will greatly exceed the ones from Gold. If it will benefit me, then it can also benefit other people. So in that matter, it's not selfish at all. Gold 2.0 is the closest I think I can name Bitcoin in this case. People are looking for financial freedom. Bitcoin can give them exactly that. Bitcoin is here and ready to give people what they are looking for, so make use of it!

I think if bitcoin started to get widely used, my holdings would skyrocket. Maybe. And that'd definitely be a good thing. But honestly I'd be more than happy if bitcoin stayed the way it is, which is a sort of a 'bad boy' currency. It's definitely got a sinister rep, being used by drug dealers/cartels, the illegal sex trade, and questionably-legal gambling sites. I think that's cool, though I know a lot of people don't share that opinion.
A lot of people place a high value on using it, and as long as that continues all is good.

and what happens to all the money sunk into bitcoin? people are incentivized to work on advancing bitcoin itself. to almost everyone here it's money first, software second. you can't jump to a new system just like that when money's on the line.

Thats why the transition wouldn't happen overnight. It would take years, five or ten years at least, once a superior coin was established, (and you could argue it already has been) but money would slowly flow to other coins, and the price of Bitcoin would slowly go down.

i don't buy it. if it was clear that something was gonna supersede bitcoin there would not be an orderly exit. there would be a tipping point where people would stampede for the exit. everyone here is hyper paranoid about 'bitcoin killers'.
if there was a real one it would crater bitcoin in no time at all and all those potential migrants to the new coin would be wiped out before they could get there. and it's not as if you could persuade a bunch of marks to come back and reinflate it so more could escape.

it's a given that everyone here wants bitcoin to make them rich.
what i'm more interested in is what you yourselves want bitcoin to become. do you want it to be accessible to everyone in the world so it becomes a global currency, do you lean more towards gold 2.0, would you prefer it if it stayed under the radar and was the preserve of a knowing in crowd?
personally i'd like it to be available to everyone whoever and wherever they are without any type of barrier so they can transact without the usual restriction and problems. at the same time that would raise the possibility of being clamped down on by governments that much higher. you could argue a gold 2.0 would lessen that risk or make it much worse if real wealth moved into it. i dunno.
The more people addopt bitcoin, the more restrictions and regulations will appear. If bitcoin grows fast and becomes a real global currency used by billions of people it will lose some of it`s advantages for sure.

I want both of the above, i am trying to hold as much bitcoin as i can earn/buy now so that i can get really good amount in fiat after few years and i think many people want this. Talking about adoption and accessibility, more adoption means more demand and more demand can simply boost the price of bitcoin due to its limited supply. On the other hand more adoption means bigger community support for bitcoin which will help bitcoin to stay stronger against governmental regulation and Fuds.

Well I would want bitcoin to be known and used by everyone no matter which part of the world but this would also pose some problem to the governments of different countries

I think this is one of the main things Bitcoiners want to see become reality. Especially because of the fact (from a selfish perspective) that it will also help to push the price forward in a much faster pace. Current holders will greatly benefit from such a scenario. But if it was that easy, this would be the case already. Governments won't simply allow Bitcoin to be so easily accessible to the point that it may harm their own economy at some point. Banks and governments fear Bitcoin. For the first time people can now actually own their entire wealth, and operate outside their systems. In that regard, everything will be done to prevent Bitcoin from growing too large.

Nope, I don't think the bigger community can prevent the government from regulating bitcoin. It is the opposite, the more bitcoin is adopted, the more government will rush to regulate it. We know the government wants intervention for profit/tax sake. You cannot stop your government in regulating bitcoin in your country because they are the authority.

I don't understand what is gold 2.0 in your post. Can you explain me what that means exactly? And of course everyone here expects bitcoin never die and just continue to rise to get rich with it one day.
