Exchanges are indeed a good way to mix your coins, or at least, it might look like so at first glance, but keep in mind that an exchange stores your information for ever.

From there they basically can follow what you are doing, and to what service you are sending coins to. That's something not many people seem to look at.

Legit Bitcoin mixers always delete logs and whatever other information that is connected to your mixed/clean coins. That's the main benefit of Bitcoin mixers. It saves you some extra headache.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

That’s it, but there are some problems. Simply put, NEVER EVER use this pseudo-legit services :
Bitmixer.io (cloudflare)
Coinmixer.se (cloudflare)
Darkbit.io (cloudflare)
[banned mixer] (was cloudflare or incapsula as i remember. now vps. that's much better then those that use cloudflare coz server located outside usa but using VIRTUAL server is sucks)

First of all, the log of your actions will 100%! be recorded and investigated by US law enforcement agencies. I think European law enforcement agencies will also gain access to them.
Secondly, the log will be made available to any lawyer, attorney, court, etc under any reasonable and legitimate request.
Even if you don’t violate any law, using these services is like walking down the street with a dummy grenade. You may at times be dealt with by the cops without any reason whatsoever and enter into their black book.
I'm not even talking about those who use these mixers in some illegal activities. In this case, instead of unknowingly surrendering themselves through such service, it’s easier and cheaper to go to the nearest police station with their own money and surrender without intermediaries.

You may ask why this is so? There are no secrets here for many people. So much has been written on this forum about these wonder services. The problem is that these services use VPS (not dedicated server) or Cloudflare,Incapsula anti-DDos. How does such anti-DDos work? Cloudflare fully decode all traffic (https) on its resources, analyzes it, filters and then passes it on to the wonder mixer. There is no anonymity whatsoever. Major legal companies undoubtedly analyze the traffic of such "sweet" clients as Bitmixer with utmost care. And if any law enforcement agency will need some log, they won’t need to search for the owners of Bitmixer – logs can always be obtained from NSA, where they get to from Cloudflare by default.
To achieve the best mixing effect, the wonder services recommend using web wallet from blockchain.info and buy Bitcoins from Localbitcoins.com‎. It’s hard to think out a more idiotic act given the fact that both blockchain and localbitcoins also use Cloudflare. In this case, bitcoin purchase log will also be attached to the log of your actions on the mixer with your name, bank account, credit/debit card number and so on.

Yeah, that's a royal clusterfuck. But you would say that these sites have tor mirror.
Yes they have. However, the way these people organize their services in a clear Internet is the same when doing so via tor.
Of course, when using tor, it’s more difficult to set up clients, but I think these services are coping.

You are right. However, the problem is not the Cloudflare, but the clearnet in general. Cloudflare has the advantage of obfuscating location of your server, in exchange for lowered security of the TLS layer. You can disable the "MitM attack" carried on by Cloudflare, if you have the premium account, but as you pointed out, most of the services don't. We strongly recommend using the Tor mirror to access our website (it is among our best practice recommendations), which is in different location and the server hardening is much stronger.

Even if you don't use cloudflare, you have to trust CA, which is controlled by the government anyway. The clearnet mirrors are only for users, which require less privacy, then the Tor users. If you are doing something illegal, don't use the clearnet for mixing your bitcoins.

Our best practices are listed here:
https://coinmixer.se/en/bitcoin-mixing-service/how-to-use-bitcoin-anonymously/

There's a great difference between arranging mitm attack with fake certificate to sites which care about their security and getting trafic from your site, which you send to officials with your own hand, voluntarily. Huge difference. Chasm.

I do not see warning for clients on your site: ALL YOUR TRANSACTIONS ARE LOGGED AND ANALYZED.

Tor is not panacea. There are enough good ways to stay anonymous in clear Internet. But if we're talking about tor :
As i said before, the way you organize your service in a clear Internet strongly suggests that your tor site is on the same vds (which you hide from us under cloudflare )) ) as your main site and all your clients transactions via tor are logged easily.
I am 100% sure of that after your stupid comment about " disable the "MitM attack" carried on by Cloudflare "

You sell air, just the illusion.

You can update fees and limits info for bustabit as they have fee of 300 bits that mean 0.0003BTC

https://www.bustabit.com/withdraw/request
Quote
**The minimum amount for a withdrawal is 400 bits. You will receive 300 bits less than what you withdraw, as we use that 300 bits to go towards mining fee. As required, we will as well chip in with our money to help expedite confirmation time.

What you mention under 1 is fine, i use bitmixer.io and its good but 2 i don't really get. If someone is looking for bitcoin i think it's possible to trace them to your address on 2. If you have government looking for you/your bitcoin they can just ask Bustabit (your example) for their database and they will give you up easily

True.    Easy to fix tho.

The best way to mix bitcoin is by XMR conversion first. Rather than relying on the service provider to keep the mixing private, you rely on the inherent non-traceable nature of the Monero currency.

Best thing to do is to convert your bitcoin to Monero and then use https://xmr.to
- This will mix the monero and give you fresh bitcoin surprisingly quick and at a very very low fee.

As an added measure if you want you can then mix the fresh bitcoin on a tor service such as Grams Light that automatically deletes the records of the mixing shortly after it's completed.

There was an article floating around not too long ago explaining why losing bitcoin's trace through monero is your best bet.
Combine the monero conversion with another bitcoin mixing if you want and it's as untraceable as it's gets Smiley

Hope that's helpful

That's interesting.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Can you please add SmartMix.io to the list?
Announcement thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2815450
I can provide you with further info, but I think for an objective list it makes sense if you gather the information yourself.
Looks like OP is inactive since last year's February. So I don't think he can do that =P
