Blockchain for airport?!!

As a financial consultant we dealt with several projects in energy, aviation, construction,...etc over the years.

Learning about blockchain and it's potential applications, I am fascinated to know how, whether it's possible to use the technology (at it's current stage of development) to fund, built, manage such projects be it a power station, a hotel or specifically an airport. I would appreciate your contribution on the subject, if the brainstorming would lead to a practical solution, we have an access to very interesting project and can hire a team immediately to commence the job.

I think you are saying about create and build an airport or hotel using BTCs...

It would be a big project and many BTCs would be spent to concretize this idea, I'm not sure someone would be interested in using Bitcoins for an idea like this now, the flutuations in the coin price are still big and frequently, to invest on something like this the coin used should something more stable like dollar. But as Bitcoin is money, someday someone could try to realize a big project like this using Bitcoin.

Sorry dear, am not sure if I get what you meant. Governments can regulate blockchain as technology but they cant acquire it unless you meant they acquire a [Suspicious link removed]pany.

As for more information on the project, I can just disclose now that we have been appointed to assist with financing of an airport project through conventional methods (institutions) but were curious to find out if we can do it differently and through blockchain. Since this form have a lot of participant, we thought of sharing the subject and get feedback before reaching a conclusion if it's technically possible or is just a wishful thinking.

Please dont hesitate to leave your feedback and contribute in brainstorming.

It will need more research, I may think if the blockchain can be implementing on the payment system. It can give a new revolutionary payment system. The simple word, I don't need to order a ticket but such as just send some amount to the companies blockchain and the chain will send me tickets.

If we can consider about how the Lightning network is work, and innovation will come. Such as put the blockchain be a middle man was holding a lot of the ticket.

What would you use a blockchain in an airport for? I have heard every idea about blockchains from different people who are said to be "experts" but all I see are ponzi schemes. I would be surprised if this isnt another scam or ponzi scheme.

what you think of Proof of Asset (PoA) protocol used by digix to tockenize physical assets on to blockchain? Can it be applied to create shares in physical projects?

If we can find a solution to link more and more physical assets to blockchain, it facilitate more participant to join this new domain and of course create more liquidity for the market.

considering cryptocurrencies are still evolving and liquidity is gradually increasing, the potential solution should by hybrid.

No dear, I am no expert in blockchain and as mentioned the subject is absolutely new to me. This post is just to brainstorm a potential application of blockchain technically and will be closed once this is concluded.

I've seen some companies use the blockchain technology, where blockchain is not just used for financial services,mining,or payment processors.
Hybrids like "Filament" are gaining ground. It even got $5m in VC.

Blockname is a technique for decentralized resolution of endpoint addresses in electronic communication using the Bitcoin blockchain and public notaries to verify the authenticity of name/address bindings.

Blocklet is an electronic accounting system that builds upon the blockchain to provide autonomous, decentralized equivalents of traditional methods for commercial transactions, including contracts, agreements, receipts, and escrow arrangements.

I, however, do not know how  blockchain could be integrated with airports, aside from the payments angle.

I would use a hotel that accepts BTC as payment, where I could book room beforehand and execute deal online carrying only the payment proof with me. However, it would be a great challenge to keep the hotel's good reputation inbefore criminals move in as they did at many hotels that did not require that much validation, but cash.

everything the OP said is possible to do with blockchain but its need more research but for the hotel, i think and i heard that there are hotel available and accepting bitcoin for the payments but i am forgot where is the hotel locations. maybe for first, the implementation is on airport for using blockchain to pay airport tax and after that, maybe we can use bitcoin to buy the ticket for flight and so on.

Yes, Blockchain could be applied in airport, especially in cargo management, to track cargo and prevent loss of cargo that is common in come Airport.

you can use blockchain for almost everything, it's basically a database.
yes, blockchain is awesome but it doesnt mean it's needed for everything, so in most cases a simple database will work for you.

what kind of use for blockchain you have in mind?
