Hi!

I brought component for a rig, including 6 Radeon 7970 and two 1000W NXZT HALE90 PSU..

I miscalculated the W requirement of these 7970 so i'm kind of.. limit.

Can I power the PCI-e 75W via extender mofset with a power supply and power the rest (the normal PCI-E power connector) from the second power supply?

If so, I will be able to fine tune the load between these power supply.
I plan to run them on 240V and I have installed a dedicated circuit just for that rig, so that might help for the efficiency.

You should be able to add additional powere supplies as needed to take on additional load. You will need to jumper the power supplies so that thye will come on. Its just a matter of shorting two wires.

That is the plan, but what about powering the same video card with two power supply, that was the initial question Wink
