Ever since HashOcean went awol, I've been more than sceptical about cloud mining and the purchasing of "powers" and investing in pools with other investors. I know the ROI of most cloud mining sites is impossible to achieve with mining alone. I've recently invested a small/safe amount into a new site and I'm literally watching my balance grow. That is why I post this question.

Me come a crying? Not a chance. I wouldn't gamble more than I comfortable losing. Did I say gamble? I meant invest. I think it's wise to get in and get out fast. I know It's tempting to stick around to watch your numbers grow or even deposit more, but I don't recommend it.

99% of all cloud mining sites are Ponzi schemes.
If you invested in one and you somehow have a chance to make a profit you should DEFINITELY get out while you can.
And be sure to thank god that you are one of the lucky few who got out before the scheme fell apart.

who cares about ethics when you  can never get your initial amount out. you say you have already invested so try your best to get it out first then lets discuss if it was ethical or not.

Most of almost 90% cloud mining sites are scam and based on ponzi schemes as they offer attractive incentive to affiliate marketer to encourage user to invest there bitcoins to get higher ROI. Already big names with big capital such as hashocean, cloudminer.io are shut down , even they have already paid lots of amount to user. But according to algorithm set for bitcoin mining such cloud mining companies cannot sustain for long term.

Defintely yes, mining sites are long term ponzi scamming sites. They will give you first a little ROI but later on they will steal the remaining 25% of your investment. The only mining site that is paying and that has payed me well is cryptomining.farm but I dont know how long will it be paying.

The big question on the mining sites is, if mining is profitable then why are they selling hashpower, they alone should be enough if mining is profitable. So before investing on mining sites it is better to rent a mining rig and mine a new coin.

I feel like you're just baiting people to ask what site you're using, so you can either profit off their referrals or take their money personally (if it is your site).  How can your balance grow so quickly, in such a short period of time?  And obviously the answer to your poll would be 'yes'....

for identified ponzi disguised as cloud mining that was very easy because usually they will offering 3% daily profit or 150% monthly profit untill ROI i think this is traits of fake cloud mining sites and honestly for now i wouldn't tempted again for those offers because i considers all cloud mining was fake and i don't believe them all

You should stay away at any cloudmining sites. It will not give any profit. Its a waste of money. Even its a legit like genesis and hashflare. Its not worth to invest with your money. Think twice before entering at any cloud mining sites because its really risky. Some of them are scams and some are legit.

its almost too easy to pull off any cloud mining scam..

Step 1. Take Deposit

Step 2. Pay back part of Deposit over time (70-80%)

Step 3. Profit on the rest (20-30% every contract)

Stay away .. spend your money on GPUs or ASICs if you wanna mine.

Trusted cloud mining sites were found very few. Most cloud mining sites come out with a scheduled plan but things won't go perfect as scheduled. This makes the mining sites to be a ponzi. These can be eliminated with the planned regulations.

your question doesn't even make sense!

if you suspect a cloud mining service is a Ponzi scheme (which is a scam by the way) why would you even want to invest in it in the first place? you should stay away instead of handing over your money to these scammers.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

The main reason I did not disclose the name of the site I am using is because I wanted to be taken seriously. I never promote anything I can't stand behind 100% I was curious as to what the communities consensus is on the topic. If I want to use click bait promoting, I would have only posted this to Twitter. Thank you all for your input. It's much appreciated.

I just reread my opening post here and I can see how, for lack of a better word, advertisey it sounds. I meant to capture my scepticism in cloud mining, not make it sound profitable. Which from what I understand is mathematically impossible.

I wish you luck for your withdrawal.

But, if you knew that there's a bomb in the bag, do you let it explode or do you evacuate everyone? That is about the same question you are asking.

Without hesitation I would do both. Not particularly in the order asked though.
