Not sure if you guys got this or not, I wound up getting more traffic since I included this metric.

The way it's calculated:

Current spot price * (25 BTC +  transaction fees)

All taken in real time from most recent block

Basically someone (or pool) is making $5,248.35 every 10 minutes.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I for one welcome our new hashing overlords.

About 40% to 45% of this does... 

Meaning that over the course of a day there are 144 blocks to be solved.

144 *  $5,248.35 = $755,762.40 a day.

BTCguild get's about 40% of that.

IE: They are making (collectively) $302,304.80 a day.

and I currently own 1/27000th of that hashing -- and profit making -- power! (before fees of course)
