I've been using BTC for a while. I've been using it at exchanges, to trade altcoins and to order goods over the Internet, but I've never exchanged BTC with someone in front of me. At a store or between friends, or family. This despite having had long conversations about BTC with various kinds of people, and attending a few meetups.
Who has exchanged BTC F2F?
Not yet and I don't see this happening any soon. Where I live, people are not only ignorant of bitcoin but also not interested to make any shift from current payment system. There still are people who need help to use atm card, how can they be expected to use bitcoin

I havent never exchanged any single coin face to face, i had used whatapp to trade with local buyers and sellers, nothing besides those, nowadays i dont believe its required to get any transaction with bitcoin taking such risk, since the other person can try to scam and steal your money. Even knowing people that does those business does like to be exposed and has a reputation to increase and keep, for me i would consider it as a risk transaction.
yep bitcoin payments can be made without personal information tied to the transaction, this offers strong protection against identity theft, bitcoin users can also protect their money with backup and encryption. but for me exchanged bitcoin face to face it's not risk,if you want to meet someone before that instead you should make sure who it was

I have done this, however I do not know if it counts because it is with people whom I was doing business with and I paid for a project to be completed and when they came to deliver, I paid in bitcoin. Does this count?

Most users won't prefer the face to face exchange of bitcoin for fiat. Most users for anonymity prefer bitcoin, so meeting a person face to face doesn't seem good for those. Myself too haven't got into such exchange but felt of making it, because some quotes a bigger value for face to face trade of bitcoin.

Who has exchanged BTC F2F?
No , I have not made yet but I think soon I will make because I found some Bitcoiner at Facebook who belongs to my country and probably one day I will got a trader in my city to make deal face to face so that I can make a clear practical deal for virtual money . Well I am thinking to start a shop that will accept Bitcoin

No, I've not. I was told if you want to exchange Bitcoin face to face that you should bring along either gun or small knife in case of any unforeseen circumstances
I think things like that are not necessary, because lucky I live in a peaceful country. And the people was good, But if you live in an area that indeed is a conflict that could have been required. But I think you can avoid the things you do not want with transact in a public place or near a security officer hehe

You have the worst fake black vernacular that I've ever witnessed. You must be a young white Jewish guy from the Bronx. I used to work in Oakland and have never heard anyone talk like you. Give up the Aunt Jemima act. Don't exchange Bitcoin face to face because it's dangerous.

With my brother I have exchanged when he need to buy some bitcoins he ask from me to sell some to him and so he pay me fiat and at that time I send him bitcoins that is a good example of face by face bitcoin exchange
While that was a face to face trade, you did it with a person of the utmost trust to you, but in a real face to face trade you have no idea who is going to show up at the meeting, there have been cases where people who wanted to buy some bitcoin were robbed of their cash.

Never had the opportunity yet. Never even met anyone who knows about bitcoin IRL.(aside from family of course) Although, if ever I am presented with the opportunity, I most probably will agree to an exchange. Just for the hell of it! I even occasionally check if there was a scheduled meetup in my area. You never know.

Yes, and he's also a member of this forum as well. Exchanged over $800 worth of bitcoins by that time and everything went through flawlessly. Prior to that meeting, we exchanged over $200 worth of bitcoins online, and since his money on his online account was not sufficient, we ended up meeting face-to-face and doing the transaction In real life. Oh and btw, we met on a mall to erase the doubts on each other's companies.

She needs to lay off the syrup! I've never used bitcoins irl. I ask all the time but nowhere that I shop accepts them. I've given up at the grocery store completely. They say only I ever asked.

No actually. I haven't tried it. Exchanged online is good enough for me, I won't take any risk just to see the person I am buying/selling my bitcoin. Aside from that it is time consuming, you are just wasting your time and money and you are just selling it at same market price. It's kinda joke.

Who has exchanged BTC F2F?
I've exchanged bitcoin F2F with myfriend, maybe because BTC is digital where you don't need to meet in person with someone only to send BTC for fast transactions and non-refundable Me too, I tried to transact bitcoin face to face, I bought items to him and paid using bitcoin, we had meet up somewhere near in our town. Also localbitcoins can be used.

You never know the person whom you are trading with and what he/she is capable of. Of course, I did bitcoin transaction face to face but never did any exchange. Mainly because I don't trust people I meet online and I love my money...

See how it works and how you can make it suit your comfort level by being in a public place. You'll enjoy the chat over a coffee with a fellow bitcoiner while waiting for a confirmation.

It's not that people do face to face transactions for fun. They either don't have any other way of obtaining Bitcoin, or they simply make a decent amount of money by buying coins just below the market rate, and selling these coins just above the market rate. If you do just a few transactions per month, then it's not really rewarding, but if you do hundreds of such transactions every month, then it adds up nicely.

I have not done that before because the buyer prefers me straight up in his wallet for less hassle because if we meet the cost is more expensive. I prefer to sell f2f but the buyers preferred not to meet each other
