On the downside, I just looked at my Mt Gox transaction history and got a bit dizzy.

On the upside, I found 10 separate wallet.dat files that were sitting around that had between 0-2 BTC in them!

Seriously, there's no way the BTC infrastructure is ready for such a thing. I predict much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the months ahead. Onward to the cryptocurrency age!
