Do you want to give the Ripple system a try? Do you need an account funded? If so, then you need XRP.

You can use XRP to:

1) Open a Ripple account (200 XRP).

2) Hold balances in different currencies at different gateways (50 XRP for each currency/gateway combination).

3) Place multiple currency exchange offers at once (50 XRP per concurrent offer).

4) Perform transactions (about 100,000 transactions per XRP).

5) Create an account or two for a friend (1,000 XRP each).

I am looking to build reputation and acquire vouches. To do so, I will sell XRP in very small quantities. PM for current rates -- 0.25 BTC will buy you enough XRP for all the things listed above. Of course, larger quantities are available as well.

Lack of XRP is no longer an obstacle to experimenting with the Ripple system.

Wow, rates have changed and it's basically no longer possible to fund your Ripple account for 0.1 BTC. The price of BTC has fallen and the price of XRP has gone up.

I changed the thread title. Sorry.

It depends where you shop. Right now, I've seen prices ranging from 1,900 XRP to about 4,800 XRP. The market is kind of unstable. If you asked me right this second, I'd offer 3,000 XRP for 0.25 BTC.

Boy do I wish I knew that! I moved lots of my XRP into BTC when BTC dropped to 100 expecting it to go back up -- and then XRP goes up!

I'm back! I now have new offers up on BitMit.

https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/45715-102-000-ripples-xrp-best-price
https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/45711-65-500-ripples-xrp-best-price-possible

Rates are around 6,500 XRP to the BTC but change from time to time and I adjust my auctions as necessary.
