Bitcoin should some good commercial ads to promote!

Every one should spread the words about bitcoin, we need to know the pros and cons of both fiat and bitcoin so that we could explain to others why they should turn to crypto(bitcoin) currency.
Just tell people if you have access to cheap electricity and provide an example like how much per KWH and just buy miners and start virtually print money and that is accepted in (any online services you know they really accept bitcoin).
That way is better and nothing is more effective than the words of the mouth.

first of all why that someone isn't you? you can't always expect others to do everything, bitcoin is decentralized so it is up to all of the users.

second of all promote and say what? invest in bitcoin and go to the moon? NEVER, that is not good at all. we don't need more speculators. the only promotion bitcoin needs is new merchants, new services and businesses to start adopting bitcoin. when you see Amazon accepting bitcoin you will start using it.

Yes that is the pros of having promotions in bitcoin we will able to learn more on how it uses and we will be informed in anything related to it . But as they say there might also a consequence on promoting bitcoin socially or via multimedia that can lead business mens ruined bitcoins value. Well let's just see what will happen soon.

It was going for naturally. Like this place maybe. But honestly all of the cryptocurrency was linking into bitcoin and if the someone was wanna joining in there and It will always try for advertising it. It won't a company or something like that but just let it growth.

In my opinion the Bitcoin foundation was supposed to promote Bitcoin, with the funding provided by the community. It seems as though the foundation was created to create job opportunities for people to earn a salary and not to promote Bitcoin. If we have to tolerate a centralized organization for Bitcoin, then they have to add value to the community. Lately the only promotion being done, seems to be 3rd grade videos on Youtube by individuals. 

Everyone seem to wait for the Bitcoin price to go up, and they are not joining efforts to promote it. ^hmmmm^

bitcoin is not ready

it has nothing to do with the market price. its about bitcoin utility and how bitcoin is not meeting the original vision set out in 2008-2013.

issues:
developing countries: tx fee has the cost of an hours minimum wage
developing countries: lack of easy gateways to buy bitcoin
developing countries: lack of places to spend/sell bitcoin
developing countries: mpesa is more user friendly

developed countries: waiting 10 minutes+ for confirms is not good in a grocery store
developed countries: not good for spending on daily real life needs (baked beans and toilet roll)
developed countries: applepay or NFC visa cards are more user friendly

yes bitcoin has many many advantages compared to the native fiat system, but when you wipe away the overglossing of benefits and talk to real people that want to USE it for real reasons (not hoarders) bitcoin lacks what mainstream wants.

Yeah you're right, how can we promote bitcoin for people when bitcoin itself is still not accepted in many places and hasn't been used by many merchants. And so promoting bitcoin will somehow have the opposite results. When people hear fancy things about bitcoin on ads, they will start to find out more about it and want to use it, but when they realise that even their local market doesn't know what it is then bitcoin will frustrate them and to some points, they will give up on it.

Yes naturally and in some of my posts, its effective if its a word of the mouth or group community effort, like what we are doing now. Also, by encouraging our friends to used bitcoin,educating them and even giving them gifts in bitcoin

What about the situation when you persuade someone to invest his money into Bitcoin and he spends all his savings while the price collapses after that? You would render a very bad service both to yourself and Bitcoin. On the other hand, people who are inclined to risky investments most likely not only heard about it already but also tried it and maybe even profited for it, though they chose not to tell you for the reasons I just outlined

I believe it is the desire of many bitcoiners to see bitcoin in the mainstream news, but I'm not sure if the Bitcoin network is ready for such traffic. First, problems related to scalability need to be worked out, but this is probably not going to take long.

We can run a commercial or an add, but I don't think it will ne successful like what any other brand of soap or shampoo these days. Most of the time, people will only take this as a grain of salt and throw in their skepticism and douts on the project, but I think that it is worth the shot.

It doesn't come as surprise that Bitcoin is not ready given all your doublespeak and doublethink. With such "friends" Bitcoin doesn't need any enemies altogether. Reading your posts, I have a strong inclination to doubt if you are really "100% bitcoin" and "hate altcoins" as you claim to be or to do (seeing all your previous tongue-slips), and not actually for $$ as you blame others in, though not necessarily through Bitcoin unlike all those sig spammers...

I disagree with your idea as bitcoin is not a commodity. So bitcoin promotion can't be done through commercial advertising. This way, people will know the name of the bitcoin but they will not go to the internet to search for this. So the purpose of bitcoin will be defeated.

Secondly, bitcoin is not owned by anyone, so who will create the advertisement and pay to channels to play it? That's a big question. Only a bitcoin related business can do that. But they will again promote their business only without actually promoting the bitcoin. I think it is better to run poster campaign through search engine and at the related websites.

They are already doing it but instead of bitcoin they are promoting they are promoting gambling site like in some adnetwork like a-ads.. almost bitcoin related.. also the other are social sharing and advertise in facebook.. not directly as bitcoin..
The affective way to increase the value right now more adoption and more site are accepting bitcoin as payment..

some people or site just promote services paid by bitcoin rather than promote bitcoin as money, but I think it is not bad. because bitcoin is currency, so people need to see how it works. however, it would be better if people promote both the services and bitcoin as currency.
