For those advocating banning entry to Muslims, that might stem the tide but won't drain out what has been left to enter unchecked. Even if no one with links to terrorist organizations abroad enter Germany, these groups now have a recruiting pool in Germany. For example, most of the violence in France are caused by home-grown terrorists.

They should increase surveillance and track German Muslims going abroad where they can be easily recruited into terror cells. They need to implement solutions before people become too pissed off, a far-right radical group emerges, and things get more nasty. I live in the Philippines, you probably heard of our drug war. Though the current administration's authoritarian leanings are definitely troubling, people seem to support the drug campaign. Why? Because we've grown tired of these petty drug dealers roaming the streets that now we don't care if we wake up to see dead bodies in front of our doors. That same thing can happen to Germans, they'd eventually get enough of Muslim terrorists that they'd support anything to get these out of their country.

To those who were hurt, I wish you a speedy recovery. To the families of those who died, no words can ease the pain but I give you my condolences.

The warrant lists six different aliases used by Anis Amri, who at times tried to pass himself off as an Egyptian or Lebanese.
He is reported to have travelled to Italy in 2012 and then on to Germany in 2015 where he applied for asylum and was granted temporary leave to stay in April of this year.

After being turned down for asylum, the man should have been deported but could not be returned to Tunisia because his documents were missing

The suspect had reportedly been under German surveillance earlier this year on suspicion of seeking to buy guns.

The idea is good but it is not feasible. Unfortunately in the modern world is ruled by a false democratic principles. Muslim freaks destroying the state, and they can not shoot because they are unarmed. Would be better if they had weapons.So much for democracy!

I think that's what Australia does, but it may be ineffective. From what I know many illegal immigrants (aka the "refugees") especially from Somalia would sink their boats on purpose as soon as they see the coast guard, leaving the coast guard no choice but to rescue them (and later provide a shelter etc) or let them drown/swim to the shore on their own. So it's more complicated than just not letting them in.

On top of that there are some legit refugees among them (ie oppressed Christian minorities from islamic countries etc.) whose lives are under real threat and those probably should be given some sort of asylum.

I don't know what's the plausible solution to the problem ('kill them all with fire' doesn't count as such), but I know that if your asylum application is pending or rejected, you should be kept under surveillance in a locked centre and not be allowed to wander freely.

There is a much more viable and practical option. An European Union task force can conduct simultaneous operations in all of the North African coastal cities, destroying the boats and arresting the human traffickers. Without these human traffickers, there will be no illegal immigration through the Central Mediterranean route.

When politicians interfere in the border control, such issues do occur. IMO, the supervision of border control in the Mediterranean should be exclusively handed over to the naval forces, and the politicians must stay out of it.

No matter who will guard the borders of the EU, the main thing that it was the military and in violation of the border opened fire on violators. Migration in my understanding is a hybrid occupation.
