Well, I would say that I did this back in 2014. My mother already deposited all the money I need to pay for school for the year and also some allowance for my daily needs. I gambled around half of it on NBA odds. I lost that half. So I lived on really cheap food and really avoided buying anything. I even tried to avoid buying things I need like books just to save money. Was a gruesome year for me, luckily I got through. Wouldn't do that again.

How bout you guys, would you do it?

Man, that's a great risk! You should have not done it. That money wasn't yours to gamble. That money was intended for you school dude. I wouldn't do it if I was in your place. I abide by the rule gamble only what you can afford to lose. In your case, you had no right to gamble that because you cannot afford to lose that money.

What the heck, you really did that? That's epic!!! Lucky that you made it til the end. I am sure lots of diet, abstaining on gigs and night outs and of course, lots of time in the library since you've said that you can't even buy a book.

Honestly I never did that for the sake of gambling, but I once pawn my phone due to a thing that I really need to buy and I can't wait anymore and told my mother before that I left it to a friend. But I got out of that too without my parents knowing it.  Cheesy

That's craziest thing I heard today, you have the bold, man, no doubt about it. May I ask, do you think of losing or prepare for it before you actually gamble half of your school fee? Or maybe you never really thought about losing that bet? Personally, I will never do the thing you did, but I did done some crazy shit like gamble my whole month salary and of course end up losing it all, leave me no choice then I have to lend some money from my family.

Haha I did that a few years ago when the school but I spend it when approaching the end of the month
because usually I was given money at the beginning of each month so not too disturbing my activities
I also remember some of my friends experienced the same thing with the OP  Cheesy

Definitely not. That is something I would never do. If ever you feel like you are bound to do this in the future, then ask your mom or anyone in the family to hold the funds or deposit it directly. You can get into a lot of trouble in your life if you handle money important in your life irresponsibly.

I would never risk something like that specially with funds that belong to my family or someone else. I have done this once before, but it was with the money I saved for buying something for my father. But the feeling of guilt will probably cause long term regret.

This way of gambling only the gambling addiction gamblers does this in the hope of recovering the loss. But i wont tell that i have not done i have done but not that much, i just gambled with my 1 week signature campaign payment, but next week itself i recovered it, after that i am just following the bankroll system and have fixed daily limit in sports betting and that too split betting not all in one game. This way now my ROI is very good.

Advisable you should change your bad habits gamble with school funds, friend. It was so harm you because you have to to suffer the consequences, I hope you do not repeat again. I never used the school funds to gamble because I realized it was very important. But once when I was at school I was gambling with some of my monthly pocket money, it is used for live sports betting with my friends. It was my first gambling Cheesy

This is really pathetic that you had lost the school fees in gambling. You were misguided like gambling could never be a source for generating money and it is a way to just to spend money if you have excess.

I guess this is a nice topic so that it can spread awareness that we must avoid gambling to generate money for any reasons.

You take the big risk of loosing that money i don't used my school allowance just to gambled i will not choose not to play than risking it on the game that i can assured my winning, I don't want to get thin when i need food to eat always remember our knowledge is our treasure and we can get back what we've spend after we graduated and find a descent job.

By definition you should only bet whatever amount of money you can afford to lose since winning is not a sure thing in gambling, so no, I will never do it and what you did was irresponsible behavior since you must keep your gambling money and the money for your expenses always apart so you don't suffer consequences similar to what happened to you.

I never tried to gamble any money that I don't own nor money that is alloted to other things.  I always make sure that, whenever I am playing a gambling game, it is either a free money or the money that I can afford to lose without any ties to house budgets.  I never wanted to get in trouble just to have a short time entertainment.

Doing such thing is just like a suicide and i wont really do such thing and i dont want to compromise the money that is already being budgeted for my school expenses and others. If you do lost half of it you will really suffer because you let yourself do gamble on those money and you dont think about the risk would happen later on.Thats really a lesson learned for you for sure.

NO OF COURSE NOT. THIS IS TOTALLY INSANE. WHY WOULD I RISK MY CHILD CAREER FOR SOME STUPID PROFIT COME FROM CASINO ? I ONLY GAMBLE JUST FOR FUN. I HAVE TO WORK 8 HOURS PER DAY TO TAKE CARE FOR MY KIDS SO THAT THEY CAN GO TO COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY. AND I SUGGEST PEOPLE SHOULD NOT USE THE SCHOOL FUND TO GAMBLE

If you are having a problem with gambling it is better to consult a doctor rather than gambling with the future of your child. These kind of people will ruin their family and i would not dare to do so even in my dreams.

first of all you should always gamble with money that you can afford to lose. it is like the first rule of gambling that everyone should know before going it. casinos should have this as warning on their first page, like what cigarette boxes have a warning about lung cancer.

also, sorry to say this but only a gambling addict loses all or even half his whole money on gambling and it shows you lack control.

although it is good that you already figured this out and apparently stopped yourself before a disaster. and that is your luck right there. from now on try to only gamble with small amounts that you can afford to lose.
