Unfortunately this is common behavior in my country, since nobody actually care how old kids are when they are placing bets. Kids don't care for that money because they know if they lose it their parents will give them money again. So sad.
And person who bets child's school funds is obviously addicted and doesn't care about his children at all, not just their school funds.

Definitely not.. in my opinion this would cause a big problem for you when you lose. I only use my personal or extra funds when gambling and that's it win or lose that's fine with me since I play smart and know to control myself and feelings towards gambling.
Using school fund is the most idiot idea a man can think about. Those money is for the future career, for your kids, for your future, too. If you use all of the school fund, you will definitely be punished. Gambling is only for entertaining so do not screw up everything just because you do not have money to join a casino
Yeah. This is a move by people who are already addicted on gambling. There is no future on gambling. As above mentioned, this is a insane decision for a parent because he/she didn't consider the future. The only way to stop this addiction is to have a psychology consultation or seek a religious advice. Religious advice works on me. Smiley
Unfortunately religious advice does not work for the majority of people since now people are losing their faith more and more in this new technological era and therapy can be very costly especially if we take into account addicted gamblers will not have a lot of money due to the nature of their addiction.

Well, I would say that I did this back in 2014. My mother already deposited all the money I need to pay for school for the year and also some allowance for my daily needs. I gambled around half of it on NBA odds. I lost that half. So I lived on really cheap food and really avoided buying anything. I even tried to avoid buying things I need like books just to save money. Was a gruesome year for me, luckily I got through. Wouldn't do that again.

How bout you guys, would you do it?

You know, a lot of college student have done that with varying degrees of success and failure.  It's not really a good idea to take this route at such an early stage in one's educational development because the skills to become a successful gambler have not been attained for most at this stage.  Get a degree in mathematics or engineering, then try your hand at gambling on a professional level.

This is not new you can hear lot of stories more then this interesting about how they started to play gambling and then lost everything after that they are realizing the mistake they have done it. That is why it is told that play with what if you lose should not affect your and your family life.

It's clearly a sign of being irresponsible person, everyone has its own story in their worst experience in gambling and I believe it's one of the worst mistake that a gambler has ever did, you cannot gamble the future of your kids, without the funds they cannot continue with their studies and it has been said many times that education is very important and that's the only thing that cannot be stolen from us.

That's really a dangerous behavior in your country. I think the bookies just doesn't care where the money comes from, they all think about profit. That's the cause of fail parenting right now. I believe that if you're a parent and your kid is starting to rebel in some weird way that you don't know about, that's just failure. You didn't fail in supporting your child; you failed in the upbringing of your child.

True, people should be avoiding wasting their child's funds or their own student fund in gambling. We can't really blame the bookies, they are a business and their business is not about preventing people from losing money. Their business is to accept bets and be the house of the sports book. Bookies will not care about where the funds came from or if that was the last penny the gambler has.
