Update:

Through MEW I could open a wallet using the mnemonic phrase, and there were my tokens, (this despite Aternity not being able to peg my tokens to the mnemonic phrase.)

I have never used MEW before, only Mist, so the fact that Aeternity couldn't recognize my contribution address, although now clear that I have contributed, I think should be concerning to all.   

To Aeternity, I'm happy to provide you with potential tx id's so you can identify the bugs in your code. Vlad has written me previously and has my email.

As i have continued researching AE since my initial investment in the ICO (Phase 2).  There have been many things that have come up that have been very concerning to me. From not being able to retrieve my AE coins, to the team and delays.  I have reached out via this forum as well directly with the AE team voicing my concerns.  In each case, I have received a detailed response back acknowledging my concerns and letting me what is going on, within 48 hours (usually much less).  This team has had it's hiccups (what startup hasn't) but they are on a mission to get things done and so far have a track record for doing so.

Especially since the new CTO has arrived, I feel things have been moving forward at a much faster pace


In AE's terms & conditions, they state they do not provide any refunds for any investments in their ICO, yet with the unfortunate China ICO ban, they did the right thing to their investors and provided the chinese people (through ICO365 full refunds.  This is one of the many signs of the integrity of the team.

Lastly, I'm hoping they are able to get some phase 1 applications launched in tandem with the mainnet.  The builing of apps on AE's platform is the differentiating factor and key to our success (not to mention the community)

AE team is good from the beginning but the problem they have taken a lot of bit time for the distribution of the token. But they never miss for updates, whenever people have a question they are updating regarding that issue. I hope future is bright with the aternity team.

Wow! Aethernity really colaborated with ICO365 and refunded their Chinese IOU investors! That's a very dignified gesture, that I don't think many crypto businesses would do. That alone should show that AE is on a different level of transparency and honesty with its investors than its competitors are.

Yet it's been 2 weeks and still chasing them to get issue solved...Emin on slack replied 3 days ago unaware of my issue yet Vlad said he forwarded it to him. Sent him the details of the issue again, no response as of Today. With what around 70M bucks in funds yet there's one guy working on issues, money well spent

Don't forget that Aethernity is in no way at all obligated to help you with any of this. They do it out of good will. A few months back when ICO365 and the like were selling AE tokens the team said several times that they do not endorse or support this kind of selling of the token and they adviced investors not to buy AE this way. Whatever Aethernity does now to help you resolve the issue between you and ICO365, you should be grateful.

Not their problem? So when I invested and tokens aren't showing up in my Eth wallet after going through the process of generating my Eth address from the BTC address I used to invest is my problem?

I know how to follow instructions very well, not new in crypto so I do know wtf am doing. I need the AE team to help figure out if my investment was even counted in the ICO. Either see what went wrong and give me my AE tokens or give me my BTC back simple as that.

I wasn't bothered with the 2 month delay in distributing tokens or even the hack...but lacking support with so much funding gets you thinking.

Can't blame them though, spending money does take alot of your time

It seems like you know what you're doing.  I would be frustrated as well if I was you.  Vlad (info@aeternity.com) has always responded to my messages within 48 hours.  I don't want to say "don't worry about it" but I'm sure that they will get you square away.  Certainly understand what you are going through on your end.

We already are at liqui, and believe me, this is very, very good start. You can safely trade there while waiting for bittrex/polo in 2018.

We believe we did a great job with support. We still have a few cases to solve, but are working very hard to do that. If you are experiencing any issues or have not received feedback from us, please remind us about your case. It is not impossible for us to think that your case has been solved.

The number one issues we have identified so far is people NOT knowing the address they contributed from. Please make 100% sure that when you are contacting support, you are sending us info about the correct address.

Sharing the updated (with a FAQ at the end) guide again.

We have also identified some issues with contributions from multisig BTC wallets and are working on a solution.
