Hey everyone. Looks like nobody here posts real updates on development, ugh? Let me summarize some of last meeting notes info, for you to know better what is going on behind the scenes:
1. The team has implemented Cuckoo Cycle PoW mining and now polishing & testing it.
2. They have hired more skilled Erlang developers (at least one of them, some rockstar, don't know his name yet).
3. The team is pushing it to finish "dumb blockchain" sprint soon, which means working blockchain, very basic one, but working.
Enough for now, ladies and gentlemen.

POW mining algo is CPU based in case anyone was wondering.

Was hoping POW algo would be more GPU or ASICs friendly.

Just a heads up, this is going to attract botnets to mine, every CPU POW coin has this issue.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Not quite right. There are already implementations for GPU which are at least not worse than CPU, and soon faster implementation will be ported to CUDA/OpenCL, and then GPUs will be kings & queens again Smiley just like it was with ZCash almost a year ago. More read here and here.

AE token has real market support which can be seen by the floor it is holding successfully. I think people those waiting for more cheaper tokens may not succeed in their mission because team is very active. They are representing and promoting the concept and project which is working like pressure on market. Still very good to buy at actual price.

I see, I was reading the github of another source which mentioned that it was CPU mining. Glad it's GPU mine able. We need more GPU coins more diverse for miners especially for new comers.

Can't wait to point all my mine farm to AE PoW.

BTW, is Aeternity going to release an algo for mining itself?. Or we have to wait for some kind of "claymore for aeternity"?

I thing this Cuckoo Cycle algo is new, so I don't think anyone has code a miner yet, am I right?

May be I can explain you this part of unique address where you are confused. In myetherwallet you have one address for every supported token it doesn't matter what the token name is. For example you can store 20 tokens on same address and each will display separate.

It is limited to only 20 address, we cannot able to get token more than 20. What we have to do to get more than 20 tokens.
It really confusing me because I thought we can able to get more than 20.

Not sure about the rest of these folks (as I am certainly in the red by a long-shot), but I'm waiting for Q1 to see if we are able to get the mainnet launched and separate from Ethereum.  I know that dapps are all the rage, we will see what gets produced.

I really fear for Aeternity investor, I might be wrong but the person that conceived this idea is gone and will require alot of work to lift this project because of some competing projects like Tezo, EOS, Boscoin, Qtum and even NEO and waves. if things is not sorted out fast this will end bad for investors

Everything good requires work.  While the lead developer is no longer in the picture, the integrity of the team is there (just take a look at the ICO365 fiasco) and also with the new CTO getting things rolling.  They have the funds to continue the work, just need to A) give them time and B) hope all goes to planned.  We are the early investors.  Taking a gamble.  All hoping the gamble pays off in the long-run

Hello,

Thank you for this comment. Yes, we are working quite hard to create a technologically superior solution and attract the most promising apps. The dev team is now fully engaged and very productive. Look forward to only good news from now on! (we hope so and will do everything possible to be so)

Kind regards,
The ae team

Please AE team get listed n Cryptopia thank you.

You seems got some share on cryptopia, i have no idea why you are promoting and pushing this 0-volume exchange with hundreds of unknown shitcoins.
AE team, please don't put any efforts to get listed AE on cryptopia. This exchange charge ridiculous fee and definitely it's their main business to list several crapcoins on daily basis charging up to $50K for each, a scamcoin yard for devs to unload their shit because no exchange on earth will ever list it.

Is it possible to launch a testnet with PoW right now and mine it just for fun? As you can see in my signature I am writing some pools, can do the same for AE if there is rpc and standalone miner is out.
